Looks like IUI #2 was a bust for us. AF showed up yesterday at 12dpiui. I wasn't too hopeful after my progesterone numbers came back lower (19.6) compared to the first round (37.8) even with 6 mature follicles vs 2. I think we are now on a break until the new year saving money and travelling.
Y'all, I just got the call from the doctor that we have a BFP!!!!! I go in Thursday because apparently they test 3 times (seems excessive, but bring it on as long as they stay positive!!!) I can't stop crying and grinning.
Thinking about everyone who is still waiting and those who got BFNs this month and hoping that next time is the time!!
@husewife congratulations!!! Did they give you your beta number? They test 3 times to male sure your hcg levels or beta numbers are doubling each time.

@bpietronicco My doctor just called (at 7:45 pm, I'm impressed! I spoke with the nurse earlier) and said my beta was 11, which is on the lower side but that we are cautiously optimistic and we'll see what happens Thursday. I wish that I'd been told that a little bit earlier before I told my bff. Oh well, FX for Thursday.
@husewife as long as it is doubling that's a good sign. From what I read, it can be as low as three and still be a viable pregnancy. I will keep my fx for great numbers Thursday for you!!

@manders85-2 Usually brown means old blood... I just googled it and brown blood before a late period could be implantation blood... (Of course Dr. Google isn't always the best resource!) Have you taken another test just to be sure?

Hi all, the mind game continues. So all BFNs on 14dpiui, 15dpiui and 17 dpiui. Very very negative, no lines. I just had some weird dark brown/black spotting yesterday. No blood and no more brown spotting since then. The nurse at my RE's says it's probably nothing and just wait it out until my period. I'm sure that's all it is but not having the door closed for good on this cycle is making my head spin. Of course Dr. Google finds all these women who didn't test positive on pee sticks until like 5-6-even 8 weeks pregnant. The more logical thing would just think I have a cyst and I'll get my period in a few days. I'm 18 dpiui today. I'll test tomorrow if AF still doesn't show herself.

@manders85-2 my first IUI cyxle was like that I finally got af 19dpiui. I'm going thru the mind games now I'm 11dpiui I saw very light pink today and now nothing but that's usually how af started with me so now it's just the wait. Trying to hold on to a little bit of hope.

@bpietronicco I know how you feel. Yesterday I spotted pink now noting bit stI'll crampy this is what has happened the last 3 times it would stop then I would get AF a few day later. Not sure if I will go tomorrow I may just wait it out. I'm afraid to test bc I really don't want to see another BfN. This whole thing sucks. Fx for you.
I'm Def out AF showed this morning and I'm a hot mess. It sucks when you have to go to work and face everyone and pretend your ok. I don't know if I will be doing another one or maybe I'll take a another mental break I don't know how much more of this I can take. It's breaking me. I feel hopeful each cycle than its like a slap in the face.

@labluver So sorry I know how you feel in regards to a mental break! I've had to do several of those over the years... We're also in the the same boat about how many cycles we have left. We have enough money for one more IUI if this one doesn't work. But we will probably be done because we just CANT afford IVF.
@bpietronicco I HATE PROGESTERONE!!!!! Besides the nasty discharge, the side effects are the devil! I have loads of schoolwork I should be doing in the evenings, but instead all I've managed to do is NAP and cook dinner. Then back to bed I go! It's draining the life out of me! So I feel your pain!

@Labluver2 I am so sorry. But you're not alone - AF started for me this morning, too. I know how you feel about having to go to work and smile through the sadness. It's not easy. I feel like I am in a fog and running on autopilot. I don't know how many more times I can go through this - it's already been so much sadness. Hugs to you.

@puppyluv13 I don't think the other progesterone I was on worked for me because I never had symptoms like this before and still got AF. Although discharge is horrible with both!!
Dr okd another few cycles so go in sat for day 3 ultrasound and bloodwork. Here we go again. I know I said I wasn't but I know myself and will regret not trying. Who knows maybe a few more and I'll find a good egg in there.

Even tho we don't have any answers and this journey is so emotional and stressful we will bEcole stronger people because of it. When I think I can't keep going I surprise myself. If it works it would have totally been worth it and if it doesn't I know that whatever stuggle life throws at me I can handle if I got thru this. Fx next cycle is it tho!!!!
@bpietronicco ugh I'm so sorry. I would Def do ivf at this point if you can afford it. We looked into and I wouldt be continuing at my age ( 38 no pregnancys) but we don't have coverage for ivf and we just can't afford nor have the time to save that kind of money so we are trying a few more iui cycles and just hoping for a miracle. @Labluver2 I just turned 38 as well. We do not have any coverage either. My clinic gives us an OOP discount but it's still a lot of money for it not to be guaranteed. They offer a loan program as well.

I did say six but I may do 8 just for piece if mind. There is someone at my clinic the nurse said she's done 22 iuis I don't know if I could handie that many.

22!?!?!?! Holy smokes! Idk if I could handle more than 8.. Let alone 22! Our RE offers a loan program too. It would be about $600/mth for 6 years... So we'd be paying for our *maybe* child until they are in 1st grade.... Not sure how I feel about that! So IVF is pretty much out for us too. It's just not feasible for us to save that much money for something that isn't guaranteed.

My second beta test was 24. So I more than doubled and the doctor is happy. I go back on Tuesday for my last one!
