Re: Game of Thrones S7/ep7 -- Spoilers, obviously
Fav moment? Arya killing Littlefinger! Also, 'Maybe it is all about cocks'
Least fav moment? I dunno....
Who won the week? Dany
Who lost the week? Cercei
On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Theon? 6
How would you rate the season? 7
What was your least fav thing about the season? How sooooo much of it was pointless build-up, and then they sped up some parts so fast. Like, can we even it out a bit?
Predictions for next season? Let me think...
Questions?
Fav moment? I don't know, Jon and Dany banging? Jons got a nice butt. Here's the thing, there were a lot of cool moments (littlefinger finally dying, zombie dragon melting the wall, Jon and Dany banging, jons parentage confirmed explicitly) but the way they were set up was handled so cheaply that I think it ruined the pay off.
Least fav moment? Anything related to Euron or Theon. Why were EITHER of them at the truce meeting?
Who won the week? Night king
Who lost the week? All the humans
On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Theon? Not at all, except there's a part of me that will be really pissed if his death isn't epic because like why the eff is he still around then?
How would you rate the season? 4. The low points just don't bring it back up. The writers clearly had a few end goals in mind and worked backward from there and it showed. I do think next season will be good again but they nearly ruined this franchise this season.
What was your least fav thing about the season? The Westeros express. The rushing through everything..... just to have the slowest finale of all time? Why.
Predictions for next season? I mean, if we don't get clegane bowl at some point I'm going to freak out. I guess Jon and Dany will have a kid together.
Questions?
where did bronn and pod go?
where was gendry?
How did cersei and Euron know there'd be a wight for Euron to "flip out" about so he could go to Essos? Why not just GO TO ESSOS INSTEAD???
Really? Jon Burn-the-bodies Snow didn't even consider a zombie dragon?
Why did Sam need to steal Gilly's thunder?
Jaime is just riding north by himself?
Honestly why did Brienne need to go to kings landing? Is she still there? Where is pod?
really? Rhaegar named his first and third son the same name? Really? Ok sure.
Fav moment? Littlefinger's face when he realized what was happening.
Least fav moment? All the Theon parts. Close second is the dragon shooting electricity or fire or whatever out of its mouth - it is dead, it does not breath, how is that happening?
Who won the week?Jon Snow and the Night King both made strong showings.
Who lost the week? Littlefinger
On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Theon? 1. I am so mad that we spent 10 minutes of the final episode dealing with Theon. I do not care.
How would you rate the season? 4. Least favorite season.
What was your least fav thing about the season? The writing was a mess for me, the pacing was a mess for me. Overall it felt like an entirely different show and, even though a little fan service is cool, there was way too much fan service. It's not like I want important characters to die but having important characters die is a GoT tradition and this season the most important character death was a dragon, which in and of itself felt pretty contrived. I was waiting for Littlefinger to die for the entire season but ultimately he was not actually important to the story anymore. He went from moving major pieces around the board to trying to control Sansa who, while important, is not the most important piece.
Predictions for next season? Well Jon is going to ride a dragon, we all know that. I confess I stole this from the Ringer but what if the army of the dead heads directly to King's Landing, since that is the most concentrated source of population? That would be interesting, we've seen what looked like either snow or ash falling in the throne room in a couple visions.
Questions? Is there any chance that Cersei's baby is Euron's? I didn't think so before but they are more chummy than I suspected.
@spottedginger I guess so but that was a dumb plot point from the get go in sooooo many ways.
Also - there is a theory that Bran is the Night King - how exactly, idk, but it's clear that when Bran travels through time he is not merely seeing the events going on. Part of the fan theory comes from the fact that the Night King was re-cast and looks more like Bran, and part of it comes from the fact that the Night King was a man but he was turned and no one knows his identity. I have always thought this is bunk, although I can believe the Night King is a Stark.
However, Bran let Jon know the Night King was close to Eastwatch which allowed Jon and crew to easily find the army north of the wall. That caused Dany to fly north with her dragons, which then caused the death of one dragon. The dragon was the one thing that was needed to bring down the wall, apparently. I am not saying for sure Bran = Night King but I am more curious about this theory than I was before because it seems to me Bran set in motion the ability of the Night King to cross the Wall, and he of all people should have been able to warn everyone what NOT to do.
Fav moment? Basically every single character that we have been following on their own separate paths for YEARS all finally came together in one episode. I think that was my fav part overall. But favorite actual scene: Little finger getting his throat sliced the F open!
Least fav moment? Bran's timing. How awkward is that conversation going to be ..
Who won the week? Dany. Not only did she get her truce, she also got the D
Who lost the week? Littlefinger mwahahaha
On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Theon? He's a 0. I'm SHOCKED that he's still alive in this world. Why is he still a relevant character? Why was he even invited to the truce meeting? He sucks.
How would you rate the season? I did definitely like the season but it was too fast and too short. AND it took like forever to get here so I feel like it should have been longer?
What was your least fav thing about the season? The predictability. One thing I have loved about the show is that most seasons have something that no one ever saw coming. This season not so much
Predictions for next season? Dany is def gonna get preggers with Jon Snow's baby
Questions? Does anyone know when the next season is coming out lol or have they not even started filming..
How do we think Yigrette (Rose something?) feels about that sexy scene with Dany
I don't think any of this will go down as it has in the books tho re: Bran. I'm so stoked to see where the books go with all my fav characters because the show straight effed them up.
Fav moment? Honestly, it was the little moment between Brienne and The Hound talking about Arya.
Least fav moment? Theon on the beach, why did you waste valuable finale time on that?
Who won the week? Jon from his POV he got everything he wanted, an army, the girl, his family safe at Winterfell
Who lost the week? The Wall. Possibly Tormund and Beric...
On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Theon? I. don't. care. about. Theon. I had some sympathy for him and all his PTSD-ness in ep. 2, but I'm not invested in him. @zamora_spin I'm so with you on this.
How would you rate the season? it was, okay, there were some big reveals, but overall it felt both rushed and like not much happened.
What was your least fav thing about the season? The pacing, like many said it was hurry up and then wait and I agree it seems the writers were working backward.
Predictions for next season? Jon rides a dragon (i mean he has to right?) Also, death pays for life & there has been a lot of talk of how Dany can't have children, so Dany is KU.
Questions?
Um, what have they done to Sam? It just seems so out of character for him to first ignore Gilly and then to pass off the info like he found it.
So I saw it as Bran saying (earlier this season) that he needs to "see better" bc it is all pieces and then when he got the info from Sam he was able to go to that moment in time. Just me? or are y'all seeing it that way too?
Also I was wondering the same thing @doxiemoxie212 they make a big fuss about bringing Gendry back and then where is he? at the wall? on the way to Winterfell?
@doxiemoxie212 I'm guessing Bronn and Pod "went to get a drink" so that they didn't have to have Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn in the same scene.

Fav moment? When Sansa chose her family over Little Finger. I actually was surprised. It's hard to surprise me.
Least fav moment? Jon and Khaleesi having sex. Why didn't Bran see that and stop it? I really hope the 3 eyed raven can be wrong.
Who won the week? The White Walkers obviously . . .
Who lost the week? Jaime Lannister. What a pussy!
On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Theon? 10. I was so happy when he won the fight. He really needed that. He had been gone for so long.
How would you rate the season? 7. I think it moved too fast which made the story suffer and am disappointed in the number of episodes
What was your least fav thing about the season? Little Finger. I think they kept him alive for farrrrr too long to the point that people cannot even remember all of the things he had done to deserve death. I never understood the point of his character. Also Cersei being pregnant. There were also some continuity issues that drove me nuts.
Predictions for next season? I predict that Khaleesi will be faced with the choice to kill Viserion or maybe it will be Drogon and Rhaegal who will not be able to. I also predict that she will end up pregnant, but who knows. The writers have done a great job tricking us in the last few episodes although there was also a lot of predictability.
Questions? Why didn't Bran see the right information in his prior visions? Are there any consequences to Jon being brought back to life? Where did the name "Sand" come from? I thought I heard either Sam or Bran mention that as being Jon's last name.

Fav moment? Ahhh, tough, but honestly, I think I have to go with Jaime leaving Cersei. It's minor in the grand scheme of things that happened this episode, but I think it's epic for her. He was the last person holding her to her last remaining shred of humanity. With him gone, she has nothing (until that baby - whose-ever it is - is born).
Least fav moment? Theon. Just stop. stttaaaahhhhppppp. I give zero shits. I'm still irritated that they administratively changed Asha's name to Yara. Like, wtf (yeah, yeah, yeah Osha v Asha is hard - but Osha's dead first, why not change her name)? And really, really? He wins a fight because some dude kicks him in his non-balls...really? And then the Iron Born just follow him? Yeah right. Lame.
Who won the week? The Night King, obviously. He literally did nothing and took down the wall. Which is really impressive considering he was able to completely circumvent digging up that horn that was supposed to actually allow everyone to cross the wall....................
Who lost the week? Cersei. She just effed herself. Please, go ahead. Marry Euron...good luck with that.
On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Theon? -1. I'm over it. He needs to go away.
How would you rate the season? Ehh, I'll go with a 5. Overall, it was pretty underwhelming.
What was your least fav thing about the season? Jon officially getting outed as a Targaryen. I've always had a soft spot for Jon and Rhaegar, though separately. I'm glad I can tie it all up together now.
Predictions for next season? Tormund is still alive!!! He has to be. He CANNOT make it back from North of the wall just to get blasted on the wall and never make it to Brienne. I refuse to believe it! Also, Cersei's baby is Euron's. I refuse to believe that it's Jaime's now that he's finally seen the light (I apparently refuse to believe a lot).
Also, idk about the Jon/Dany Targaryen baby thing, but I do think there are some dragon eggs in our future here.
Questions?
Yes to basically all of @doxiemoxie212's questions.
Additional questions:
- What are the odds that Euron, turncoat that he is, really did sail for his island leaving Cersei hanging? I mean, after all, he's seen dead people and dragons now...
This sort of coincides with the whole "how did they even know there'd be a zombie man" question.
- What is Cersei's supposed end game here? Am I really supposed to believe that she managed to reign in her sociopathic anger long enough to let Tyrion walk out of the Red Keep for some long-term plan? Please...the woman is systematically torturing people in her dungeons for lesser infractions than killing both of her parents. No way she let's him walk out to further an end game.
- So, while I'm all about the Dany/Jon romance, is it just me or does anyone else think the Aunt/Nephew aspect of that is going to throw a liiiittttlllleeee wrench into things when people figure that whole situation out? Targaryens or not.
- Finally - why are we all freaking out about this 100,000+ strong zombie army? Jon/Jorah/Tormund/the Hound know that all you really need to do is take out the like 5 generals and the rest of the army goes down with them. Sure, easier said than done, but still. 5 people are a lot easier to hit than 100,000. And yes, you now need to contend with a zombie dragon, but as the Night King was kind enough to show us, apparently dragons are fragile. Just make a dragon glass spear and shoot it in zombie dragon's general vicinity and you should be good, apparently. Also. Last question. Which dragon is it that died? Is that Viserion or Rhaegal? It matters.
ETA: One last question. How are we supposed to reconcile this idealistic vision of Ned/the Starks that we've been told thus far with the whole Jon/Aegon situation? I mean, Ned Stark's greatest hallmark was his honor, right? A point that was driven home in this episode by Jon's refusal to lie to Cersei about his situation with Dany. But all along Ned's been holding on to this massive lie? No way. Dude dug up all of Robert's bastards to prove Cersei's kids were Jaime's. The whole idea that he KNEW Jon was Rhaegar's son and didn't tell anyone is asinine. Under this story line, Robert's entire rebellion was based on false beliefs. So what, Ned Stark and his honor just went along with that? And then, when Robert died, Ned went ahead and supported Stannis' claim to the throne knowing full well that Rhaegar's son was right under his nose? No way.
Okay, one last - last question. Bran's a warg. Can he control zombie animals? Like, a dragon perhaps? Did I miss a part in the books where this was explained as impossible?
Fav moment? Arya killing littlefinger
Least fav moment? Anything with Theon. Why is he still alive
Who won the week? The knight king
Who lost the week? Cersei
On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Theon? 0
How would you rate the season? 6 It was too short and some of the writing sucked.
What was your least fav thing about the season? The writers messing up details like jon being a Sand when he should be a Water. Not that either matters when he is not a bastard anyway. Or giving him the name of Rhaegar's older son.
Predictions for next season? Dany and Jon have a baby. Cersei dies from her pregnancy or Jamie kills her.
@doxiemoxie212, good point. However, there are still only so many white walkers, and the writers have apparently adopted vampire theory in that every wight a white walker created is destroyed when the white walker is taken out, which would still leave them with only a handful of actual targets. I mean, yes, they still have to get through an army to get to the white walkers, but it's a little less formidable with that info.
I guess the stash of dragon glass is what made the battle winnable in my mind, which is why I find the white walker thing so obvious. The wights really don't seem to be that stealthy in their battle behavior and win more due to shear numbers (and the fact that they have nothing to lose). I really don't think the Night King has a much better battle strategy. His strategy mainly seems to be: Let me stand here and watch while my massive army of undead swarms the enemy...and maybe shoot a javelin every now and then.
as for Ned and his honor. I guess you can look at it as Roberts rebellion was already underway/nearly over by the time he found Lyanna and so he was bound to "honor" his promise to his sister and keep her son safe. And after Robert died it would look really suspicious for his Hand to say, well my "bastard" son is not my son but the rightful heir. That wouldn't have going over well. The safest place for Jon at that time was probably at the Wall.

"Some days are diamonds, some days are rocks,

What is everyones thoughts about Tyrion. He seemed upset when he was standing outside Danys door. Could he have been falling for her himself? Or do you think he promised something to his sister we didn't see to get her to "agree" to send troops and the romantic relationship ruins that. Just that he didn't seem against them getting together last week even pointed out to Dany that Jon clearly was interested in her.
