How are you doing? I'm going to say ok... I'm coming up to the point last time where my symptoms completely stopped, and a few days later i had the ultrasound where they said there was only a sac. This time symptoms are off/on, so I'm hoping at week 6 they come on strong, but it's definitely a mind game. I spent way too much time last night researching impact on paternal age for increasing risks for MC (we have a bit of an age gap). Probably not the best thing for me to do two weeks out from an US!
GTKY: so many things!! A baker (I actually got accepted to culinary school my jr. Year of college, but then decided to finish my degree. I still fantasize about it to this day!), opening a thrift shop for clothing that features local designers as well, and having a dog rescue, just to name a few lol... maybe one day!
@tgortney I'm right there with you on being afraid of not seeing things on the u/s. Mine is today and I can't wait, but I'm trying to prepare myself for a bad scan because I've never had a good one
@allowachick I'm leaving for Telluride tomorrow morning. I'm happy to get a break from work but I don't really want to go. my husband and I both confessed to each other last night before bed that we don't want to go. I know I'll be happy when I'm there and hiking the beautiful trails!
You guys, I feel like such a crazy person. I didn't want to wait a whole week for my third beta, so I am going today and just paying an independent place to do one for me. It costs about the same as going to the RE office and hopefully will give me peace of mind. I still feel crazy!

Pretty good. Not many symptoms yet. Although i wish there were. The wierdest thing for me is keeping this a secret. With our first two kids we told everyone right away. But after our last loss we are waiting for a few more weeks. It makes the whole experience very different.
GTKY: If you could have entered any career/profession/lifestyle of your choice, with nothing holding you back, what would it be?
I am a sahm and love it. So i don't think I'd change it! Maybe that's a boring answer but it's true ha!
U/s went great, details in the thread. It was such a relief to see a good scan. I'm still not ready to tell people yet, but I'm not sure if it's because I'm anxious or just used to keeping the secret

Im SO EXCITED. at least for today. i had my fourth beta drawn today and after beginning to fear the worst that my numbers were not looking great, i got a call that i jumped from 651 Monday to 2077 today, and I get to schedule an ultrasound for next week! (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) Ive been trying to not look into any symptoms because I convinced myself it wasnt a successful pregnancy and was preparing for the worst. I hate this helpless out of control feeling. I tried to resign myself to knowing that I had no control and to accept whatever the outcome was (but have to admit I am so much happier with this result). I know I have a long road to go with PGAL brain but I do have pregnancy symptoms to keep me in check for now, and I'll let myself have a little hope for today at least. Fingers crossed for a heart beat next week and that the week goes by fast! Im a therapist and work with felons and its an interesting line of work but super difficult clientele. I love medical things, sciency things, and knowledge that helps most people (not everyone can get behind psychology as a science and it can be frustrating). If i could have done anything it would have been to be something medical- a nurse, PA, maybe even a surgeon. Some days I wonder if i could handle going back to school some more....
