Since season 7 seems to be the reunion season, and the season for WTF moments, post your reactions here (I know, I should have done this on Monday, but I'm lazy, ok?) Just warn us if you're going to spoil anything, since some of us can't always make it until 10:00 PM EST on a Sunday
Re: Game of Thrones *SPOILERS*
That squad at the end of the ep, oh man. I'm very much looking forward to what I think will be a pretty significant battle/encounter with the White Walkers, but there's also a huge part of me that's stressed already because I think we can all agree that there is no way all 7 of them walk back through the wall alive. But, I'm not into their plan to capture a wight and bring it to Cersei. I seriously doubt they'll be able to just stroll up to her, show her the evidence, and walk freely. We all know Cersei is not into sensible understanding and teamwork, so why tf would she all of a sudden decide to straighten up and listen to her enemies (king in the north, a wildling, Robert's bastard, Dany's most loyal servant) and agree with what they have to say? Moreover, why would any of them think that Cersei will just let them walk free once they're done with their meeting? This is a crazy power-hungry nut job we're talking about here. My theory is that if they DO manage to get a wight and bring it to Cersei, there will be some kind of battle at King's Landing, potentially ending with Cersei's death. Season 8 will focus on the war with the White Walkers.
I have been loving all the reunions and introductions this season. It's so wild that some characters are finally meeting other characters for the first time. My favorite so far is of course Jon and Dany, who are clearly attracted to each other. I can't tell if it's a family thing where they both sense a bond, or if it's a romantic thing. Part of me feels like it's the latter but there's just that whole sticky aunt-nephew relationship floating in the back of my mind that makes me think otherwise. Even though Jon is leaving to follow his own agenda right now, I think we're going to see the two of them back together again soon.
I do NOT like Littlefinger and his sneakiness. Arya fell right into his trap and I'm hoping nothing awful happens. Hoping that the two Stark girls figure out they're being duped! Ugh I can't believe there's only two more episodes left.

*spoiler from 8/13 episode
this whole idea of capturing a white walker and taking it to king's landing just seems so foolish.
The magnetism between Jon and Dany is great! Technically they are related but who cares! The whole scene where Jon touches Drogon made me giddy. I'm sure Dany got turned on by that!
Also the title of the ep is called "Beyond the Wall" and the episode will be 70 minutes long, yay!

Just, a waste...
If Arya kills Sansa, I swear I'll punch her in the boob.
Anyone else sad to see Jorah back in action? Anyone else BLINDINGLY FRUSTRATED that @#$*@#$@ Sam cut off Gilly right as she was about to say that Rhaegar was actually married to Lyanna (and so Jon Snow is NOT a bastard and ACTUALLY the rightful heir?!?!!) AAAAHHHH! I heard her starting to say it, I and I had to pause the show to scream and scream and explain what was happening to my husband, and when we hit play again, Sam acted the total DWEEB FACE! AAAAAAAHHHH!!! I had to pause and scream some more.
No, I'm not an early bird, but that doesn't mean I'm a night owl.... I guess I'm an afternoon duck?

@peachy13 I'm totally shipping Jon/Dany idgaf that she's his aunt. It's Thrones, so I mean it could totally be worse...
Edited because Jon's name shouldn't have a K in it...
I'm not into the Dany Jon romance. Their relatedness creeps me out. I did like the Drogon moment though. I also keep trying to remember the prophecy about her not being able to have kids to figure out if Jon could impregnate her somehow, but wasn't it something about the earth standing still or the sun disappearing or something? Haven't been curious enough to google it.
It is pretty stupid to try to bring one to Cersei, but I think of them also bringing it to Jamie, who is actually much more reasonable and may at least be able to help them escape with their lives. (Almost had to refer to Jamie as golden hand because I couldn't remember his name. Pregnancy brain!) I don't want any of them to die
I hate Littlefinger so much. I hope Arya wises up and kills him. PS- I LOVED the red wedding revenge this season.

@cait5413 I didn't think there was a prophecy around Dany not having children... I remember the bad magic performed in the first season by the witch, where Khal "lived" but Dany's baby was stillborn, and then when her dragons were hatched, she made a comment about these being the only children she'll be able to have. I guess I always kind of assumed that something happened during birth for her to know that she can't have children again.
Anyway, this reminded me about Cersei's prophecy, which I just looked up. It's pretty interesting. The article below explains it in better details, but basically Cersei is only meant to have 3 children, which she already had, so she is either lying about her latest pregnancy, or she and the baby die. My guess is the latter. The article also makes a reference to the "little brother" part of the prophecy, which could be the baby, Jamie, or Tyrion -- one of them is meant to kill her (my money is on Jamie).

When will he [Drogo] be as he was?" Dany demanded. "When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east," said Mirri Maz Duur, "When the seas go dry and the mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before."
So, I don't know if they will use that in the series or not, and it could just mean, "never." But, prophecies are tricky!
I had forgotten the Cersei prophecy, but that's interesting. I had a feeling either Cersei or the baby or both wouldn't make it. I don't know if Jamie really has it in him to kill her unless he brought it about accidentally, but maybe he will decide she will never stop and never see reason and he will have to do it.

I feel like I am one of the only ones that isn't #TeamSam lately. Yes, great, he cured Jorah - but he has been an ASSHOLE to Gilly. Don't even get me started on that whole thing from Sunday's episode that seems to have largely gone unnoticed by the DHs (mine included!). I understand he is stressed and is used to a faster, more dangerous pace but come on, you're around all of these intellectual types in the Citadel - they're not just going to be like "k sounds great pleeb, good idea" they're going to take some convincing!
I am so not shipping Dany + Jon. I think (hope) that their connection is more of a familiarity that comes with somehow subconsciously recognizing that they are kin more than something sexual. I was totally freaking the fuck out with the Drogon/Jon scene though that was amazing. I just want Jon to get back to Bran and/or Sam (if he figures it out) to learn he is not only Targaryen blood, but a true-born and rightful heir the the throne! Not that I think he wants or plans to rule, but he is kind of a sucker for following his sense of "duty" and doing what's right. Can he please just get on a dragon ? My vagina may explode if that happens though....
Please dear GOD let Aria somehow be aware that Littlefinger is aware that she is snooping. I feel like in the season trailer when Sansa was speaking that they'll all stick together (lone wolf vs the pack or whatever). Sansa and Aria together are like the perfect parts of each world - smart, warrior, manipulative, seasoned, etc. But their respective attributes alone and against each other are worrisome. Gahhhhh I just hate Littlefinger SO much.
The Lannisters. Cersei is basically getting everything that she wants with the exception of, you know, that whole dragon scene and her army standing no chance against Dany's. Olena's dead, the Martells have been taken care of, Tyrion is literally about to ride right into King's Landing again (I reall can't wait to see what she has planned here since she dropped the bomb that she knew he was there in the last epidoe), she has control (for now) of the Iron Islands fleet, AND she is supposedly knocked up and all openly boning her bro. So I feel like her time is coming obviously. But I feel like there is no way that Cersei dies and Sir Gregor stays alive and I kind of expected it to be a Hound vs Zombie kind of thing but with the Hound in the north and unlikely to make it out of whatever the eff those guys were running from in the preview for this week....IDK.
YAY that Gendry is back! I never even gave a thought about Gendry and Jon sharing some sort of bond, both being bastard sons to besties so that's pretty cool and feel-goody.
GoT Gods, if you love me, please don't let Tormund die before he gets to make sweet sweet love with Brienne.
I feel like there is so much more, but I am pumped for the extra long epi on Sunday!

Cersei also knows she is on the losing side of the war, her allies are few and far between. Jamie is her closest confidante. With the reveal that Tyrion didn't actually kill Jeoffery, Jamie is "at risk" to pull away from Cersei if he continues to communicate with Tyrion.
Her claiming that she is pregnant with his baby, brings Jamie closer to her and also ensures he will not betray her in the near future.
Also, I've seen next week's GOT episode. One word:: EPIC
Can't wait to discuss it after you all see it.

I too think Cersei liked about the pregnancy just to get Jamie! She's on the loosing end, and she's so manipulative that she has to be working some kind of angle!
The boys up north...almost all my favorites potentially fighting in one spot... Will be great!!!! I too though think the whole idea of taking a white Walker to Cersei is dumb and no way they will just waltz right in get what they want and then back out!
The whole Dany and Jon Snow relationship...I'm for it!!!!

WOW I cannot get that last scene with Dany/Jon out of my head. It was so powerful and romantic at the same time... every iffy feeling I had about them hooking up has totally vanished, and now I'm totally rooting for them to take over the world, get married, all that. I think Jon calling Dany his queen was really important for her too. She's always so feisty about her titles and right to be queen that for the first time ever, she was knocked down a peg by Jon this season. After she got to know him a little bit, and then definitely after she saw the army of the dead in person and saw that Jon was the kind of man who will sacrifice himself for others (and doesn't just want power or anything), something in her changed and she actually wanted to be more like him. Jon is changing her into a better person and Dany saying "I hope I deserve it" when he called her the queen was the first time I've ever seen her actually be vulnerable about her right to be queen -- like now she really wants to prove herself for Jon.
I guess we'll find out next week but I was wondering if we know where the ship is heading? I wasn't sure if they were going to Dragonstone, Winterfell, or King's Landing to show Cersei the Wight. In next week's preview it looks like there is a meeting with Cersei, which has me worried because she gets crazier every time we see her. I couldn't really tell what else happens next week, but I am very excited about the long 80 min episode.
Also I don't care at all for the Sansa/Arya storyline right now. Their bickering and trying to one-up each other about who had it worse when they were gone does not appeal to me at all because I don't find that it's moving the story along.. I just feel like I'm watching two sisters fight about something stupid. God I hate Littlefinger.

can I just say I love The Hound! His deadpan realness cracks me up. I hope he and Arya patch things up. Also I'm so glad Tormund was saved and he can hopefully hook up with Brienne.
Yup I'm tired already of Sansa and Arya doing her creepy thing. I hope littlefinger meets his demise soon. And where was Bran? Did he know there'd be an ice dragon?
The scene with Jon and Dany was great. The way Jon looks at her is heart-melting. There was lots of talk about children (dragons), succession, jorah saying to John to save longclaw for his kids, etc. that I feel Dany will get pregnant despite the dothraki witch prophecy.
The Arya/Sansa turmoil is so annoying and not consistent with their character growth. Hello, both of you should be able to see through Littlefinger's BS from a mile away by now. Get it together ladies and unite for the greater good.
haha I started screaming at the TV the second that spear was raised "OMG they are going to turn a dragon!" My hubby was like how do you know that? Duh the foreshadowing with the polar bear. If they can turn a bear.... they can turn a dragon. I'm guessing it will breathe Ice instead of fire? Great Episode. Can't wait for next week!
Also, I don't see the big deal of some incest loving between Jon and Dany. I mean, the Targaryans always married brother and sister to keep the bloodlines pure, so it wouldn't be such a big deal. Plus - it's not like her and Jon grew up together or anything. Unlike SOME people in Westeros *cough cough JamieandCersei cough*
This is only in the context of this show lol. In real life that is a total deal breaker and effing gross if you do it with your cousin or any other family member. Haha just my disclaimer.
SO GOOD! So, the chemistry between John and Dany (I mean, "my queen") is great, but I still can't get over the fact that they're related! I mean, at least they aren't brother and sister, but still. I was so sad when the dragon got shot down, and then when they resurrected him! I mean, this is getting REAL. Loved John getting saved. Yeah, the Arya and Sansa thing is annoying, but it feels pretty real to me--they never understood each other. I do hate that they're letting Littlefinger manipulate them, though--come on! You should know better. Arya should kill him, take his face, and take over his information network.

Ive never liked the Arya character. So the bickering between Arya and Sansa just seems like par for the course.
And really? Literally no one was pissed at the hound for bringing the white walkers to them? If everyone had just sat quietly and waited for Dany this would all have been fine.
I basically have nothing to say because you guys have covered everything. I can't believe a dragon was killed and turned into a white walker I'm team Dany and Jon although the fact that they're relatives is creepy and the Arya/Sansa storyline is pretty boring. I'm still in awe of this episode. I can't believe there's only one more episode.
