me and DH didn't get a joint account until after 3 years of marriage (after DD was born) I still have a credit card under my name that he can't see any of my charges. I just use it time to time to keep for gas or just to buy a few snacks before work to just help my credit. Well lately I have been so hungry after work that I have been using my credit card to buy food on the way home so my husband doesn't seem that I ate almost a full meal 3 hours before dinner.
also I stared a little long at the boy's high school cross country team that was running down the street....they were shirtless, wearing tiny shorts and sweaty. But to be fair I do that also to the hot joggers running down the street that are shirtless, tiny shorts and sweaty.
My FFF confession is that I am an extremely adventurous cook. To the point of fussy insanity. I get people shaking their heads at me all the time in disbelief.
I will be attempting a recipe soon that is several hundred years old. It requires an entire week to complete. I know it's crazy to spend a week cooking something, but I can't help myself! Adventure!

I used to love to do that with desserts! I haven't been adventurous lately, but I've been having a craving to after watching the great British baking show on Netflix
My daycare provider is off this week, so I've been on staycation with 2 y/o DS all week. Although I've enjoyed my time with him, I can't wait to go back to work on Monday. It's been great to sleep in with him, go to the park and play but I'm bored! The days seem so long and all the things I thought I would get done around the house haven't been touched. New appreciation for the SAHM. Is it naptime yet?
I do Blue Apron, which to me feels super adventurous. I never used to cook, and my husband did absolutely all of our cooking before I got started without BA. Now making dinner is my favorite hobby! I sound like a salesperson, but I promise I'm not. I'm just enjoying myself

Disclaimer: I do realize how gross this is... The other day I realized at 5pm on the way to meet my husband for dinner near his work that I had not brushed my teeth that day. I was horrified but also thought it was kind of funny. Mom fail.

I do this on the weekends more then I would like to admit... I typically wake up and want to make breakfast so I plan to brush my teeth after breakfast but then I sit around and sip on coffee or tea for awhile and just get distracted. Lunch times rolls around and I'm like... meh, I'll brush them after lunch. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't get to them till it's time to go to bed. Although I will say now that I am pregnant I have been making an effort not to push it off....
I guess my FFFC as a follow-up is that I just found out I have 3 cavities right now. I just found out at my cleaning and they want me to come back in my second trimester to get them filled but I don't think I'm going to. I don't like the idea of being sedated while pregnant. So I guess I'm just going to run the risk of my teeth rotting out.
@JJMNO1616 You should talk to your OB about your teeth stuff. Mouth health definitely has an effect on baby/birth stuff. My OB is adamant that I take care of my mouth and teeth and made me make an appointment with a dentist.

I am planning to talk to the OB about it because I know it's super important. I am actually going in for another cleaning in 4 months instead of 6 for that exact reason. If I can put off the filling until after the baby gets here I would rather do that though. The medication they give to numb you for the procedure could increase the babys heart rate which is the part I don't like.
@looeeze What does AW stand for? I haven't been able to figure that one out yet and I'm too lazy to try looking it up on that thread. lol But I get what you are saying and I agree.
@Dumbgurl04 No I don't think it's bad to want to know who might be taking a lot more than they're giving. I'm talking about people who post pretty much only about themselves and rarely offer others advice or support or camaraderie-- you can probably figure it out!
@JJMNO1616 Attention whore. But for the longest time I thought it meant ass wipe and I still think that applies in a lot of situations so in my brain they are interchangeable.
@JJMNO1616 my dentist actually filled my one cavity without numbing it my last pregnancy and it wasn't TERRIBLE, if you're up for that it might be an option. However she did say that some patients think having cavities filled is worse than labor, which is crazy in my opinion.
My FFFC: I think there are a fair amount people on this board who are AWs and not really invested in the "giving" part of building this community.
I think that's a really harsh assessment so early on in this. Some people need more time to open up and become comfortable on the interwebs. Especially people who have seen so much about proper and improper posting needing to get a feel for the people.
@Dumbgurl04 we still don't have a joint account. I'm not really worried about changing it for a while either. I like having my stuff private because if he only knew how much I spent on food lately....
@kindbytealikat Yeah, you might be onto something. But that doesn't change the fact that right now, they are posting a lot about themselves and not appearing interested in anyone else, which irritates me quite a bit. I don't expect people to get excited for me if I'm not also sharing their joy, you know?
@zombiemom1318, isn't just queso fresco an issue (and maybe that is what you are talking about). I have been eating queso with no thought, and will continue to do so.
My confession is I am not giving up queso while being pregnant. My friend thinks I am crazy but queso is my weekness.
I don't think this is controversial at all. Most queso dip served in American chain restaurants is made from processed cheese, which is fine. Even if it's queso fresco, the chances of it being made from unpasteurized cheese (if served in the US) is practically nil. And it's served hot, sooo...
Confession: the real inspiration for my daughter's name (Rose) is that it was the name on a giant pig statue outside of a barbecue restaurant we went to on our babymoon. (I will literally never tell her this, lol.)

@looeeze I'll admit often I have a hard time keeping up on the symptoms thread. There's only so much support I can muster over the same 4-5 general complaints, you know?
It does strike me as odd, though, at how many posts are in the ultrasound thread versus how many members actually participate here. Most of the time I'm all:
I think the only reason we got a joint account @zombiemom1318 was because I ran out of checks and I really didn't want to buy more. I wrote him a check every pay day to help cover bills because I used a small bank that didn't have that nice mobile tool were you could just transfer money.
also I thought queso was fine as long as it wasn't white. Which when I look up queso fresco it's white (totally had to look up queso fresco never knew that I just called it white queso or orange queso LOL). Very interesting to know @kmalls. I'm going to look into that more because I would love to get some qdoba chips and queso but I thought I couldn't eat it.
I'm still learning the ropes around here, I haven't been on the bump since 2011 when I had DD. My confession is that I'm becoming obsessed with lurking around here! I promise I'll start posting more soon! It is so different here now, i feel like a newbie.
@kindbytealikat The only risk is with cheese made with unpasteurized milk. White queso usually isn't really even "cheese" plus if it's been cooked, the bad bacteria has likely been killed off.
I made a casserole last night with queso blanco and ate the hell out of it

The only thing I avoid during pregnancy eating-wise is high mercury fish. Soft cheese? Yes. Lunch meat? Sure. Sushi? Yum. I didn't come in here to confess this but I was inspired. I think a lot of the pregnancy food "guidelines" are outdated and basically nonsense now.
