Any appointments coming up? 1 week from today!

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I'm doing pretty good today. I was super sick yesterday and threw up the most I ever have I think. But I'm feeling a bit better today. I threw up this morning but not like yesterday.

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite? Can I hate all of them?? I love how the bathrooms look when I finish cleaning them. But I hate the process. That's true for most of the chores actually. I hate laundry. With a passion. DH does most of it.

First OB appointment next Tuesday at 9w

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
I'm doing better after seeing our little blueberry on last week's ultrasound, but will likely still be nervous until after the NT scan (which hopefully goes well).  We told my family this past weekend and will tell the in-laws not this weekend but next.  I just don't feel pregnant - the only real symptom I have is fatigue.

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite?
I think vacuuming is my favorite, we have a dyson so seeing everything that it sucks up is so satisfying.  Folding laundry and putting it away is the worst.

Any appointments coming up? I have my 12 week (at 11 1/2 weeks) nuchul scan 1 week from today!

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I am pretty crampy/lower back ache yesterday and today.  Pretty tired during the day and insomnia at night!  Otherwise feeling ok.  Is the cramping/back ache normal?

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite?
I never mind washing dishes but HATE drying them!
  • How far along are you? 8+5

Any appointments coming up? Nope. First appt with midwife on 8/26.

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I am physically tired of feeling low-grade nausea all the time (on the D) and of being generally disinterested in food.  I am over this.  Then, I feel guilty like "um, just be glad you are pregnant."  So, I am just trying to allow myself to feel all of my feelings.

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite? Least hated chore is cleaning the bathrooms.  Like them sparkling.  Most hated ever is folding and putting away laundry.

@pettycrocker, just "no" to chores in general? Lol.

and @chasingroygbiv what's up with whites and colors? smh.

  • @justkeeptrying oh yeah. I love the results, but hate the whole having to clean part of chores too. Glad you are feeling better today.

@becausescience I'm glad you had a good ultrasound. Hopefully everything goes well with the NT ultrasound in a few weeks. Also the first time I vacuumed with my Dyson I was fascinated by how much it picked up that my old vacuum didn't. I think I vacuumed our rug about five times before it stopped picking up dirt! Haha. So gross and satisfying.

@bklyninri I've periodically had some "cramping" and lower back pain that I have just associated with growing pains. I think it's pretty normal unless you have bleeding.

    @fatstagnation I agree. I just don't clean the toilets. That's MH's job. :smiley:

@chasingroygbiv Have you tried the peppermint oil for your headaches? That coupled with an ice pack is the only thing that's helping mine. Also, I'm glad MH isn't the only one who makes a mess in the bathroom. Ha.

@ishmoney I feel like laundry is the chore that never ever ends.

    Any appointments coming up?
I need to schedule my blood draw for the MaternTi Plus and then my next OB appointment is 31 August

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
I am doing okay mentally. We took the ILs to CA for the past five days and did two days at Disneyland/CA Adventure and it was really nice to have both of those as good days with no nausea. But car rides are the hardest--I think it's too long sitting. And I'm paying with some crappy nausea today. I also feel like I'm getting sick--the fatigue hit hard again last night and my throat aches. MH isn't feeling the best either.

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite?
I don't really like household chores but I do love the results. I don't mind putting the laundry in but I hate folding it. Haha. And MH is in charge of bathrooms and vacuuming/mopping.

Any appointments coming up? NT scan on Monday!

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I feel pretty great today. A little more energy, no puking and only slight nausea, and no headache. All of last week was awful so I'm enjoying this good day. I'm starting to feel more and more secure in this pregnancy and thinking about having a newborn again is exciting!!

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite? I am home with a sick toddler today and cleaned the whole house. It reminded me how much I HATE dusting. We have two large dogs and one has long hair and sheds a lot. So his hair ends up on everything no matter how much I sweep and dust. I don't mind folding laundry because I only wash one person's clothes at a time so I can just fold it and immediately stick it in the right dresser. Plus I just watch TV as I fold.  :D

Any appointments coming up? U/S 8/21, First official OB appt 8/29, Cell free DNA blood draw 9/4 (I have Kaiser they do things weird)

How are you doing? I am anxious to be further along... always checking for blood...Hesitant to get too attached, but feeling oddly positive. We miss our baby and all of these milestones and appointments remind us of our baby Mars.

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite? I don't like any of them, but fortunately I have put my older sons to work - My teenager does the laundry, folds it and puts it away... for the whole family, my 11 year old takes out the garbage, sweeps the floors and vaccums the rooms.  They take turns walking the dogs. The 20% of the time they spend at their dad's house, not only do i miss their faces, but I miss their housework!   I get stuck with the bathroom - which is gross - husband plus 2 sons, and all my crap I cant seem to store anywhere but on the counter...its a bad scene!

  • @ishmoney @mintea We have far less whites! So I call dibs on that and towels. It's usually my undershirts, DD's undies, and socks. Ha! I can fit them in a little mini basket. Colors are everyone's shirts, my colored tanks, running shorts, underwear, etc. Lazy, guys, I'm lazy.
  • So many appointments next week! Yay!

@justkeeptrying I'm glad today was a little better! Throwing up is the worst.

@becausescience Maybe buying a Dyson will make me hate vacuuming less. Ugh. Hate it.

@pettycrocker What? Seriously? Is their office conveniently located under a rock?

@bklyninri Back aches have definitely been normal for me. I hope it gets better.

@fatstagnation I'm impressed you clean back there regularly. It's rare for me but maybe it's because our floors male the dust less obvious. It's too dann difficult to get back there!

@chasingroygbiv I missed your due date change! Glad you're sticking with us. Where does that put you? Feb 20th-ish?

@ishmoney Feeling all the feelings is hard. I complained for weeks about the non stop nausea. Then it got worse and I couldn't stop puking. I got more mad at myself for that. Lol. Hope yours settles soon!

@mdfarmchick Are you home now? Vacation is fun but it's nice to get back to your own bed too.

    @bookworm40 Good luck tomorrow!  ❤❤❤

@hullabalou Your "how are you feeling" makes me hopeful. I'm a few days behind you and today was actually pretty good. I hope it's not a fluke and I start to feel this was generally!

@mintea Good luck with the insurance call. My insurance was about as helpful as yours sonI gave up.

@senora76 good luck with all of your upcoming stuff. Man, that's a bunch!

I had one today. Baby is looking great, HR- 167. I won't have one for another 4 weeks and we may go to a "boutique" place to determine sex the same day. Our doctor office recommends them and they were awesome last time we went.

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
Pretty good actually. Having another great appointment AND minimal nausea today really makes me feel pretty confident since we're getting so close to 2nd tri. 1 week and a day!

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite?
I actually don't mind dishes. It's weirdly relaxing for me. I hate mopping the most.

  • @mylovelittlelove February 19th. I figured end of Feb/early March but didn't expect mid Feb. My cycles were so wonky though from 3 losses in 7 mos and then adding in Progesterone midway. My last LMP didn't come until I stopped that round of Progesterone and then I ovulated crazy early!

@SP128 I still end up folding it all, but I do tend to let colors sit a few extra rounds of drying to avoid it longer.  :D
  • @mylovelittlelove We got home yesterday. The ILs don't leave until Saturday. Although today MIL was actually really helpful with dishes and laundry. But mostly when I feel like crap, I prefer to only be around MH. So glad you had another great update. I cannot wait for the second trimester either.
  • @fatstagnation, wait. I'm supposed to clean BEHIND the toilet??? Yeah...never done that. Didn't know this was a thing. No one can see back there...
Welp, never doing that again! :D hahahaha

  • Today and tomorrow are going to be tough days... it I'm excited to move past them.

I'm 10w2d today... last time I got here I ended up in the hospital because of some light spotting. I was sent home with no answers after 8hrs at the hospital to return the next day 10w3d for an ultrasound at which time they confirmed a MMC. Baby had stopped growing at 8w.

I saw a healthy baby and heartbeat last week at over 9w so I know things are already going better this time. it's just the weight of the memories today that are hard.

  • @bb3vj3n thinking of you ❤️ wishing you strength and a positive calm mind...

@fatstagnation 41 next month here... I've gotta say when it comes to AMA, my accupunturist is wayyyyyy more positive and acts like 40 is no big thing...TBH I believe her, but my mind plays tricks on me because of the RE-  I have one more visit with my RE (who BTW hasnt done anything for me buttequest lab work and shoot dye in me) who has been nothing but negative... he told me "you have the face of a 31 year old but the eggs of a 45 year old" Hes been nothing but viscous but I feel like I can't burn my bridges because if this doesnt work out, I will need his help to fast track me... (he is the only RE at Kaiser in my region...)

  • @pettycrocker holy cow. How can they not know those tests?!?

@bklyninri I have also had quite a bit of tailbone pain and some cramping.

@chasingroygbiv I don't know how you can have the info about the sex of the baby in your house and you are resisting the urge to peek. I have no willpower...

@bookworm40 Welcome! And hugs to you!

For you ladies dealing with insurances who aren't giving straight answers - my office gave me a CPT code (the code for the test they would order) and a diagnostic code (why you needthe test) to give to my insurance. Perhaps you could ask your OB which ones they use? The insurance person on the phone should be able to tell you something straightforward with those pieces of information.

@senora76 so many hugs to you as you pass all of these milestones. And also what a jerk of an RE! You'd think someone in that position would have just a teensy bit more compassion.

@bb3vj3n  thinking of you as deal with those hard milestones.

    Any appointments coming up?
I have a surprise NT scan on Tuesday. I didn't think I could do both fetal cell free testing and the NT because they pretty much test for the same thing. But when I saw the genetic counselor she basically said eh, we have our ways - so we get to see baby again soon!

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
I am doing fine now. I had a scare this week with spotting on Wednesday. It started while I was at my daughter's swim class and I was barely hanging on. I ran home the minute the class was done and I was able to find baby's heartbeat on Doppler. The OB called me back and they said if I found the heartbeat and it was a good clip (it was at 165) that I should take it easy and monitor. The spotting resolved by the next day so I guess it's fine?  I keep checking the Doppler so that keeps me sane.

GTKY: What is your favorite household chore? Your least favorite? I don't mind vacuuming. I like seeing results.  I hate pairing socks while folding laundry with a passion, but I'm too OCD to just toss them all in a drawer willy nilly

  • senora76
Ugh your RE sounds like a nightmare. The first time we went to ours (We have to drive 2 hours to cleveland clinic to see one) we saw his "Resident" first. She spoke so fast, my DH (english is his 2nd language) couldn't understand anything that was going on. She tried to answer questions for me before I could get a word out. And she asked us twice "So do you want IVF?" in a voice like she was so F'in happy. DH had to ask what IVF was. hahaha and finally I told her in my lecture voice, We are here to see if there is a problem and what the treatment is for that diagnosis. If IVF is our best option in the end, we will consider it.

Also, while I'm ranting, they kept saying the losses were "probably genetic." But then only took my history and spent a ton of time talking about my aunt's breast cancer. Um, aren't half the baby's genes from it's father? and the most possible genes *I* share with my aunt is 1/4. so....moving on please.

Then when we finally saw the real RE, he was calm and gentle and reassuring. It was a surreal trip.

Regarding AMA, so far the only thing my OB has said was since I had 2 losses in a row and I'm AMA she'd send me to the RE. For younger people "recurrent" starts at 3. Maybe after we've all seen our OBs and started discussing the ins-and-outs we should start an AMA board.

OK, wow, blah blah from me! and I have a mtg in 45 min so I gotta go! Hope everyone's Friday is easy and comfortable!!!

  • Well ladies,
Sorry to say but I went in for the cramping and back pain and sure enough...no heartbeat.  They think was over around 8 weeks (which was when I lost my symptoms).  Never had any bleeding so looks like we are going to schedule a d&c for next week.  Totally sucks but I also know that it was meant to be.
Will be thinking of you all!
