So I feel like I have a bit of time still until 40 weeks (although... it's like 12 days so I should maybe stop thinking that)
Symptoms?
My hormones are kicking up and changing! I'm much more weepy than I was just a few days ago.
I'm still having some strong contractions but they've lessened in frequency this past week. Replaced by what feels like light menstrual cramping randomly, so hoping those cramps are helping to get me effaced. I also might have the start of nesting because I'm getting these urges to clean my house.
(Which is a totally foreign urge to me)
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here?
I'd like to relax for an entire day. It would be great to get to the beach so I can zone out and listen to the waves while reading a book but I don't know if that's going to happen.
Are you doing anything to help encourage labor to get here?
Not really. I'm drinking raspberry leaf tea on the regular and sticking with my regular walks but that's about it, I don't want to rush him out at 38 weeks. I feel like next week I'll be singing a different song...

39 weeks today!
Symptoms?
I'm super emotional I cry about wverythig right now and cannot help it. I never had this with my other three kids so I hope it stops after. Any comes haha.
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here?
Maybe getting my house clean lol I have been so lazy because everything hurts I still need to wash baby clothes and blankets and organize a bunch of stuff.
Are you doing anything to help encourage labor to get here?
I have been using evening primrose oil vaginally for the past week hoping to get my cervix primed. I have a midwife appointment on Thursday and she is going to do my first cervical check. With my last baby I was closed very high and thick so I'm curious if this time is different. My mom and sister get here on Saturday, I cannot wait to have the help!
Symptoms? nothing new. Went for my 38 wk appt on Monday and baby dropped based on fundal measurements, but the shop is still closed (cervix still far back and soft but not even dilated).
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here? enjoying the last few solo beach days that I can!
Are you doing anything to help encourage labor to get here? not encouraging anything, just letting my body take it's course. Still having my 6 dates a day and 3 cups of (iced) red raspberry leaf tea.
Symptoms? Knee pain from bouncing on my yoga ball so much. But otherwise... no symptoms. I feel pretty great.
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here? DH and I have a wedding on our due date that I would love to go to!

Symptoms?
Nothing new, I don't think. I am getting more anxious to have the baby here, anxious in the sense that I'm excited. I know I'm not 'overdue' yet and still am relatively comfortable, I am just really looking forward to meeting the baby.

We are finally able to get organized because the work on the upstairs is done, so I'm enjoying getting as much ready as I can.

Trying to stay on my feet and as active as I can, though all I'd really like to do it take a nap. The more active I am the tighter my abdomen gets, so I'm hoping at some point that will switch over to actual contractions. A girl can dream...
37 weeks 4 days
Symptoms? lightening crotch and urethra pain. I feel like he is kicking me in my lady parts when I try to stand up and walk. I could barely walk after work yesterday afternoon. Everything is swollen too! At my last appointment on Friday they said I was already 4.5 cm dilated and he was very low and engaged, but couldn't send me over until I was 5 cm so I am patiently waiting until my Friday appt. (38 week) this week unless my water breaks or I get more consistent contractions.
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here? Maybe if I can get my toes done one more time before he gets here!
Are you doing anything to help encourage labor to get here? Walking a ton, still working in the lab and cleaning over and over again. but we all know they come when they want too. nothing to do with what you do or don't do.

Symptoms? Pelvic soreness, lightning crotch, insomnia, lots and lots of achy/crampy contractions for over a week
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here? Not really looking forward to...more hoping to get done before baby. I have to send out a newsletter and put the final touches on my transition doc for work today, plus we're signing our will, trust, etc. tomorrow morning with the lawyer, and MIL's birthday is tomorrow so hoping baby doesn't come until at least Thursday so he/she will have their own day (and so MIL isn't annoying about it, honestly). Also, I feel like every night I need to leave everything in the condition I'd want to come home from the hospital in which is getting old already.
Are you doing anything to help encourage labor to get here? Walking at least 3 miles every morning, sitting on a yoga ball, RRL tea when I remember, adding dates to my smoothie. More the "encouraging good labor" things than actually trying to prompt it. Hoping to get my membranes swept on Friday since my OB mentioned I'd probably be a candidate since I'm 1cm dilated.

Insomnia, heartburn, swelling in my legs and some cramping and pressure especially later in the day.

Hopefully finishing up work this week, having a date night with DH and a low key weekend.

No. I'm not dilated and I'm happy about that because I may actually make it to my scheduled c-section on Monday.
Symptoms? Pelvic pressure, insomnia, and nausea.
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here? Just spending quality time with DD and DH as a family of three
Are you doing anything to help encourage labor to get here? No; LO will come when it wants. I have a cervical check Thursday and she said she'd do a sweep if it's favorable. I'm getting uncomfortable, so a part of me does hope I'm progressing, but if I'm not, then I'll wait!
Symptoms? Lots of aches & pains, having to pee every 30 min, huge appetite.
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here? Looking forward to the boys starting school tomorrow. Might actually get DD back on her regular nap schedule for 2 weeks until LO gets here.

Symptoms? Random contractions that fizzle out, lots of pressure, but he seems content to stay put.
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here? Nope, I'm so ready to meet him! We've gotten more than what I wanted done, feel pretty relaxed surprisingly.

Symptoms? Carpel Tunnel is annoying but not too bad. Otherwise nothing new.

Are you doing anything to help encourage labor to get here? Not really. Bought some tea but I'm not consistent with it. DH read that have sex will help with dilation which is important to help avoid a c-section when I'm induced Sunday so - I guess we've tried that lol. He's right and he's actually quite serious about using to try to move things along lol. Feels like trying again - all business hehe

Symptoms?
BH allllll the time. Any time I sit up or stand up or walk. Killer pubic bone pain. Feeling waves of emotions that make me weepy, hoping that's just floods of oxytocin starting! Baby is "very" engaged, so I just keep hoping she comes.
Anything you're looking forward to doing before baby gets here?
Nope! REALLY ready to meet this baby! And everything is checked off the list, so we're just impatiently waiting!

All the things. I've been drinking RRL since 32 weeks and upping the amount, and made Wellness Mama's Labor Day Tea tonight so I'm sipping on that (basically super concentrated RRL). I've been terrible about eating my dates! Lots of walking and ball bouncing and climbing stairs. Sex when I can have enough energy. Pineapple. My midwives don't do routine cervical checks so I have no clue where I'm at, if at all.
