This is such a first world problem....today might be the most monday-est monday. When I showed up to the work cafe to discover the only infused water they made today was cantaloupe (one of the only foods I absolutely do not like!) I'm devastated!!
Lololol such a first world problem, @ekendall09 I don't meant to diminish your understandable annoyance, but cantaloupe-infused water made me laugh!
I have a doctor appt this afternoon because I have a horrrrrible rash and it's driving me insane. Like, keeping me-up-at-night insane. No idea what it is, but hopefully there's something pregnancy-safe that'll do the trick.
I'm having a really stressful and terrible week. I am hoping things start improving because every little thing is a giant battle, and I'm losing most of these battles.
I just spent $30 on a new pair of shoes because I was killing time until the Steak 'N Shake happy hour... I had to save that $1.50 though.
Oh. My. God. I had not even considered how Steak N' Shake would benefit my life until right this second. I live in a land where SNS doesn't exist, but I went to college in FL and holy hell -- those shakes. Actually, those fries dipped in those shakes...damnit!
@hedgepig any! I've most recently read ones that have been on my list for years but I finally found the time to read them: Luckiest Girl Alive, Girl on the Train, Gone Girl and Sharp Objects (obviously all very similar reads)
But i'm also a huge Harry Potter fan so i'm open to anything
@ekendall09 I'm more of a sci-fi gal myself If you like Harry Potter, have you read "The Magicians" by Lev Grossman? It's kind of like Harry Potter for grown-ups. I've recently been into Neal Stephenson - I'd recommend "Seveneves," "Reamde," "Cryptonomicon" and "Snowcrash." He mixes action, complex plot lines, history and incredibly well researched science with fantasy/sci-fi to make books that suck you in and don't let you go.

@ekendall09 big little lies is pretty good kind of the same genre and the other books you listed!
YES -- Big Little Lies is so good. Highly recommend. I also just finished reading Crazy Rich Asians and the two books that follow it, and they're all super entertaining. Highly recommend those, as well.
So it seems my trip to see my mother and grandmother has no end planned. I may now even be staying a week with my mother's dog while she drives with my grandmother back to Florida. My family is bad at planning
ETA may help kill some time till my us the following week though

@allowachick - girl I hear that. We're heading to the beach this weekend, which is fun but also takes more effort than I'm willing to expend...but it'll kill time before my ultrasound on Monday. So there's that.
Anyone else watch Big Brother? DH and I are hate-watching this season and are super into it. I'm excited for the eviction tonight, I hope there are lots of shenanigans.
We have season passes to the local amusement/water park and we've been going weekly all summer. Today was the first trip since my bfp. I looked longingly at the coasters in sadness. Haha. So basically we spent the whole day in the kids area. The kids had no complaints at least.
@ChloandCoco, as much as I love the book, I want to tell you to stop reading it. I have never been so frustrated waiting for another book to come out. After reading the name of the wind and the wise man's fear, I swore I wasn't going to read the A song of Fire and Ice series until it was completed, and guess what I finished last night and now I am frustrated all over again.
@holly321@ChloandCoco Waiting for the final book in the trilogy to come out has been so painful! I've reread the books multiple times and I also love them on audiobook. They are sooooo good though!
My school is currently under construction. They are doubling the square footage with a 1.1 million dollar addition, which will be very nice, but it's making life difficult right now. I'm trying to get my classroom ready for next week but there's no water in our building. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to pee a million times a day.
Hey y'all. I have a 10 month old (O16 baby) and i am still pump/breastfeeding. I found out Monday we're expecting #2, YAY but my milk supply has tanked in the last 2 weeks. anyone got suggestions to bring that supply back up or supplement with either formula or WMilk
@kellercourtney44 I think nursing more often would signal your body to make more. Also, hormones can create a temporary dip. I think supplementing with formula would take a hit on your supply permanently since your body will think it can just keep doing what it's doing vs ramping up supply

My buddy had good luck with the More Milk Two drops.

Ugh, I just survived a morning bringing both kids to a local farm and splash pad by myself. I get like 4,000 parenting points for that, right? And maybe 1,000 bonus points for doing it while suffering through 1st tri nastiness? Like I feel like I shouldn't have to move off the couch all weekend as a reward.
DH is getting pizza without me tonight while I'm traveling to visit family. He's also decided to now rub in my face his choice of soda or beer to have with said pizza.

Forget points, you need a freaking medal and massage!
Anyone know anyone who has done this? You basically prick your finger and they check for the male chromosome and can tell you if you are having a boy or girl starting at 9 weeks.. I'm soo tempted. It's like 50$ they have a coupon and if they are wrong when you deliver they will send you your money back!
@kindbytealikat there is actually some science to that one though because the idea is that baby's blood does mix a little with yours and since you are a female if they find the male chromosome they know it's baby's. The thing is if they don't it might be a girl or they might just not have gotten any baby cells in that sample.
