@kmalls I'm not advanced maternal age... yet... So I wasn't looking to have this be an AMA pregnancy check-in as much as an introduction to people here over 30, hence the age listing in the title!
DS: EDD, December 19th, 2014. Born, December 19th, 2014! DD: EDD, July 18th, 2016. Born, July 19th, 2016!
Oldie but goodie over here. Im 32 and having my 3rd and final biological child, though we have full custody of DH's children (2 DD's) making my 5th child, total. We should have lots of helpers since they are 4,5,6, & 7.
I get what you are saying I'm 31 and will be 32 at EDD so I feel too young to hang with the AMA crowd (even though I agree they are cool @ngolimento) but still too old for the under 25 crowd. We are in this fun limbo
Will be 33 in December and pregnant with baby #2. Had my DD just before I turned 31. Definitely don't think I could have handled being a mother in my 20s.
I'm 31 and pregnant with baby #2. My little man turns 4 in 9 days. I was kinda surprised to see all the 30+ moms here. My last BMB everyone was so young.
Also, I'm a 33 yr old FTM. My EDD is 3 days before I turn 34, so we'll see how that goes.
when I made my first OB appointment I said my birth year (1984) and the receptionist was like "do you mean 1994?". No bitch, 33 year old FTMs actually do exist in the Midwest. We're not just an urban legend.
It would've been been a hot mess if I had kids at 23.
Agree with all of you about waiting later. I didn't have my DD until I was 28 I turned 29 about a little over a month after I had her (yay fellow December birthday @jilliant26) I'm so glad I waited I got to enjoy my 20's and made sure I was more settled. Plus out of everyone in my family me and my DH are the ONLY ones who weren't pregnant or already had a kid by our first wedding anniversary, so got to enjoy married life a little bit too.
33 here too. I had my first when I was 31. I do feel like people think I am younger than I am because of my 2 year old , I should take it as a compliment.
I'll be 31 by April. I don't feel old but when I got married at 25 my grandma told me she was done having kids by that age and she had 4. Uh there's no way I could of handled four kids before I was 25.
Love all the 30+ yo ladies here! I'm 30 and will be 31 at my EDD.
@lund Your comment just made me LOL. When I first met my husband he had a bunch of roommates who would always complain that women in the midwest are crazy and just want to get married and have babies in their early 20's
Same, 33 turning 34 in April. Had DS when I was 31. We were child free by choice for the first 6 years of our marriage and didn't know if we'd ever want kids. Turned 30 and I went baby crazy. And here we are doing it a second time!! I absolutely could not have handled motherhood in my 20's! I was drunk for about 75% of that decade...
I'm 29 but will be 30 by the time I deliver! Can I join the club? Also, I've been telling everyone I am 30 since I turned 29 because I like the sound of it better
I'll be 34 in March, so soon before this one is due. I got diamond earrings when I was 34wks preggo AND turned 30 with my DD. I'm assuming there would be another "yay! You're getting old AND you're so pregnant!" gift in my future. That's the way this works, right? RIGHT?!
Omg I'm pregnant with my 3rd and turn 35 tomorrow! I've always been the baby in the family it feels impossible that I haven't figured out how to stop time yet. My girlfriend just texted "we're old mom's now" but I feel young lol
I don't feel old unless my 2 year old is having a terrible twos day. I'm turning 35 next month. I have to agree that there are a lot more 30+ moms in this birth month than the one I was in before. This is gonna be fun!
FTR, I didn't check-in on the AMA thread because I assumed it was for true AMA cases, ie. more high risk pregnancy check-ins, not anyone out of their 20s, my bad!
@jilliant26 there's no way I could have handled being a mom in my 20s. The ones that do have their crap together better than I did!
@psuxray07 I love that there are so many! My previous two BMBs are fairly young. Most of the moms were much younger than I was when we all got pregnant. I'm still insanely close with the ladies from my D14 BMB regardless of our ages, but I'm happy to see an older crowd here too!
@Lund, I live in the midwest too and I feel ya girl. I'm from the east coast where marriage and pregnancies typically happen later and when I moved out here in my 20s all my new girlfriends were obsessed with getting married right away...to start makin dem babies.
@sandbridge1030 LOLOLOLOL in celebration of DD's birth last year and for my 31st, DH got me the prettiest necklace. So I'm with you, let's hope that's the way this works!!!

Same here @courtyowl427 for my 20's. I was a server so sleep all day work around 4 to 10ish then go out drinking. That was the life #NoRegrets
But seriously since when is 30's old?!
::cough::but not AMA old, those people are super old. They're like 35::cough::
STM and hoping to be done with 3 kids before being AMA! We'll see how it goes!
