  • @BusinessWife ugh, that sucks they're springing OOP on you. I've been following your story in the IF thread, and I thought your plan for PGS made/makes a lot of sense, so I hope there's a way for you to still be able to move forward with that. (But I'm also an efficiency-over-all-else kind of person, so it would be absolutely maddening for me to not be sure I was on the most efficient path toward all the babies.) You're on your way, though! And that's so exciting!

  • @dukestar5 thanks for the recommendation! I'm looking for stuff I can dump and go.
  • @fishsticks-n-custard oh no girl! Stupid Walgreens.  You are a champ with that kind of schedule.  Hope work goes quickly and uneventfully!

  • @zamora_spin. No, the way it works is if they test it and it's non-viable, it's discarded.  I am pretty much fine with that.  They test 5-10 cells, and it's Nexgen testing, should be pretty reliable that way.  They do keep any that may be somehow incinclusive.  Downs is the type of exception where now she is telling me - even tho it MAY BE technically viable, they will not recommend it for transfer, and it would be discarded.  End of story.  The only way to transfer ALL regardless of chromosomal normality, is not to test.  But if you end up with a lot, like @dragonette505 said, you almost have to test to know how many normies you are really going back for.... Annnnd you have to decide prior to the cycle starting.  You don't get to wait and see how many you get before deciding.  So that definitely makes it harder, too.
Thats the thing... i really really wish you could decide at retrieval or something or on day one when you see how many at least are fertilized. I dislike having to decide up front. If i had a ton, i would test no matter what. With just a few and the teeny tiny potential of margin of error, i am not sure its worth my time to test one or two.

@fishsticks-n-custard sorry for the crappy sleep. Is there a way to upload what Ava is tracking for you? I'm curious to see what it looks like and how it compares to FF. But only if it's easy for you, sounds like you have enough going on with your work schedule now
  • @cards10 good for you! I'm hoping for some shortly too. But alas--no I don't think I'm your friend up north but that would be funny. There was actually a tiny tornado last night. And EF-0 (who knew a 0 existed) no injuries reported and went .10 of a mile. Still--kinda scary. At least the sun will come out tomorrow.

Everyone's talk aboit facials makes me want to get one!
  • @Steph5454 get it, girl!!! Really, a tornado? We don't get too many here but not out of the ordinary. Do you live in MI too? Hope you have a fantastic rest of your vaca!
  • @JennyColada Is paint night a date night or girls night?

@nitnat007 She's six years younger than me and agitates me a lot. It went pretty well considering those things.

@BusinessWife @dragonette505  Ugh having to make that decision upfront sounds really tough. I get why they would do that for time efficiency reasons but I wish it could be made after you have more information.

@charlestonchew I hope you had a good mental health day! Definitely important to take care of yourself.

@doxiemoxie212 Happy anniversary! I hope it was fabulous!

@labgrand2012 Hope you had a wonderful anniversary as well and that the weather cleared up for you!

  • @cards10 no I live in MN but visit the mitten every year.
  • @SkilledSailor Ah ok that makes sense then. My sister is 7 years older than me. We didn't get along very well until I was in my twenties. Glad it still went well though!
  • I think that'd be a great idea to have a one off thread regarding the ava review @fishsticks-n-custard. But i'd lurk tww & ask there, and   possibly the IF thread as well, or message a few ladies? Just because I'd be cool with something doesn't mean everyone's on board :D

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts That's a good idea. I'll ask in TWW and randoms. I feel self conscious posting in IF since I don't belong there yet.
