R/R: Now it sounds like PGS may not be covered afterall, when the Finance girl said it Was, just out of network, so we'd have to pay up front and wait to get reimbursed. But if that's not really true, and biopsy is also not covered, thats a good chunk of change right there! And in discussing it briefly with DH he doesn't like the "idea" of it, but if we get a lot of embryos, and we hope to transfer all, I wanted to do testing so we are not wasting precious everything on non viable embryos! Its so hard to discuss with him tho bc he has his back up about pretty much all of it. We may need to talk again with the doctor here, especially if it's going to be OOP afterall, but I just wish we were settled on a plan and just boom. Go do it! Lol. I also have a physical / wellness visit today with a new PCP and I'm not looking forward to stepping on the scale etc.
CS/Q: No questions really, just my temps and CM are teolling me.... first two temps taken at 645; the rest at 445. Wth, body???? Can we get a nice spike here pls+tku??? Lol

GTKY: What are 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful? Rain - the sound, the smell, the freshness after, all of it! Mountains - just the landscape driving through rolling hill and steeper mountains makes my heart so happy. Sunsets - I have seen some amazing ones with all the colours, filling the whole sky, especially out West where it's more open. Incredible.
@izza2 Loving those gifs. Hope you got your internet sorted out! And hey, its Friday!! @BusinessWife Oh man, you are in a frustrating position right now. It is tough to go through, and wanting to talk about it is natural. I hope that in going back to the doctor will give your and YH some clear answers so you are able to make a plan to move forward quickly. My body is all over the place right now too. FX you get that spike! Month/Cycle: 3/3
R/R: So DH was too tired to hio last night womp womp. From telling me the other day that he would always be ready, I was a little annoyed, but let it go. Today we have a half day off from work for the long weekend, so I am super excited to get out of here early.
CS/Q: So CM is something that I have struggled so I had been trying epo, which I had not seen an improvement with. So after reading TCOYF, I decided to try Mucinex at the last minute this cycle to see if it helped. Now, I am not sure if it is finally the epo working, or if it is the Mucinex, but Holy Cow! Pardon the TMI but its like my vagina just blew her nose! So DH better snap out of it before tonight!! And then I am also concerned that my temp took such a dive this morning. It is really going to have to spike high for me to confirm O now.
GTKY: What are 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful?
The ocean. Just everything about it. I love the sound the waves make, the fact that it is this constantly moving and changing thing. Beautiful. Lightening storms. I love watching them light up the sky. Animals, all of them. Their natural instincts to protect their young, to survive.
@nitnat007. I used to take the Mucinex too! Great stuff. All that CM + possible "pre-O dip" = it is seriously go-time! It helped me sometimes not to say anything like, "omg I am right smack in my FW right now/ totes about to O, hun, so we better do this thing!" But I would just put on a little nighty and let the magic happen... ;)

R/R: rant - ALL the rants. rave - went fishing after work which was a pretty good time and tomorrow morning I get to go for a facial (MIL had it scheduled & paid for but will be out of town, so I get to use it). What are they even gonna do? Wash and rub my face for an hour? I've never done one of these things before.
CS/Q: HISS! My chart looks like my soul... empty inside (too emo?) Anywho, keeping with my tradition this week today's topic will be: dogs wearing shoes.
GTKY: What are 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful? I nature! Hmm... My favorite 3 things that I can just sit and stare or enjoy the most would probably be: 1) clouds 2) when the seasons change a) spring when all the trees are blossoming/everything is new and fresh b) fall when all the leaves start to change colors and it's the perfect weather just enough chill in the air for a sweatshirt 3) star gazing - I LOVE staring up at the stars and looking for constellations on clear nights. Wish I lived further in the middle of nowhere so there was less city/street lights to disrupt it

@izza2 I that you're gif'ing through life right now @BusinessWife that sounds so frustrating! I hope it won't be all out of pocket and I hope you and YH can get on the same page. @nitnat007 I love lightning storms too! Also, LOL'ing at disturbing visual of a vagina blowing it's nose... Heh... gross. DH & I were suppose to HIO last night too, but he "ate too much" and wasn't feeling like it. Sigh...

CS/Q: FX I'm just waiting on crosshairs.
GTKY: What a great GTKY! 1) All the different flowers. I'm constantly stopping to look at various flowers. 2) Cross-species animal friendships! 3) Mountains. There's something so majestic and peaceful about them.
@BusinessWife Oh no! I hope your doctor and/or doctor's office can give you same answers on the OOP issue.
@nitnat007 Haha, your analogy is great! Glad your CM is cooperating now. Is it possible the Mucinex caused the dramatic dip? I don't know much about charting, but if that's the case would tossing that temp help confirm O?
@lurvleybunchococonuts Oh yay! You deserve to be pampered! I hope the facial is a bit more than them washing your face for you.
R/R: rave - had my first ever +opk yesterday evening! Another rave - "working" from home today
CS/Q: CP has me sort of concerned. Haven't had great CP yet. It's felt open for a while but it hasn't been low and this morning it was really high and sort of tilted where I couldn't really tell firmness or openness. Worrisome bc I want to make sure our HIO counts and those swimmers are getting their chance to shine!
GTKY: What are 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful? I love this GTKY!
@izza2 welcome back! Hopefully your friyay will be better
@businesswife ugh, insurance. I hope you can work out a plan with your dr for how to move forward!
@nitnat007 I lolled at your body sneezing comparison! Hopefully you can HIO soon! Glad you explained the mucinex thing, I would have assumed it dried you up like sudafed or something.
@cards10 I believe you need to take the mucinex that only contains guaifenesin (an expectorant which thins and loosens mucus). I personally haven't tried it out, but might be worth a shot. Sudafed is a decongestant which works by shrinking blood vessels/reduce "swelling" (at least according to Dr. Google lol) ETA: words

@izza2 I hope you got your internet fixed! Mine has been giving me challenges the past few days and it is such a pain to call the internet company and wait and wait.
@BusinessWife That is frustrating. I hope it will be covered. When will you hear how many embryos you have?
@nitnat007 Yay for a half day off of work! Do you all have any fun plans? Also, I've been trying green tea in hopes of increasing CM, but haven't noticed a big difference. I am curious about the Mucinex. How much are you taking? And do you just take it for a few days before O? (**Wondering if I should make a store run today...**)
@lurvleybunchococonuts Yay for getting to go fishing. And enjoy your facial tomorrow. I went to one this week and she puts different masks, lotions, etc and also gave me a nice scalp/neck massage. It was relaxing and I left feeling refreshed. I think my skin feels smoother too.
@SkilledSailor Tell me more about the staging project you are doing today. Is it to show prospective clients or is it for one particular client? Also, the First Friday festivities sound fun...what does your town do?
@cards10 Yay for positive OPK and for working from home. So nice! I would want to stay in my pjs all day!

GTKY: What are 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful? I am going to agree with @BusinessWife here...rain, mountains, and sunsets
@izza2, sorry about the Internet woes! We had to call Sprint last night, so I definitely feel your pain.
@BusinessWife, that all sounds super stressful. I hope YH gets a little easier to talk to about things and that you're able to work out the billing to at least be reimbursed!
@nitnat007, my husband is "too tired" more than I'd like during my FW, too. I hope yours finds some energy by tonight for you!
@lurvleybunchococonuts, I've never had a facial either. You will definitely have to report back to let us know if we're missing out!
R/R: Came back from vacation to tons of work drama, alas. But on the bright side, we ordered me a new laptop last night! Mine's been on the fritz for weeks and I'm looking forward to being able to do things for longer than 5 minutes before the computer freezes up and crashes. Especially replying to Bump posts, mobile replies to the daily threads take such a long time!
CS/Q: Nope, just trying to get back in the swing of charting now that I'm getting back into the crucial stage of my cycle again. I've been feeling really down about all this lately.
@BusinessWife I am going to be pulling out all the stops tonight!! Black lace, thigh highs and heels here we come! I have never been so happy about CM before. I will absolutely be using this stuff again!
@lurvelybunchofcoconuts Glad you got to enjoy some fishing and hope that you enjoy your facial. The last time I went, there were a series of different masks. Facial massages and I believe some will possibly even give you a foot massage. It should be rather relaxing and possibly even get a nap! FX on HIO tonight too!
@SkilledSailor How did the shoot go the other day? Not sure if you reported back on it? Yes to cross-species friendships! Just watched a baby goat and a dog video this morning which I loved! Mucinex may have caused the dip, but dont think so as I have taken it for a couple days. I believe that I will be getting my first pos OPK tonight, so if that happens and we get to HIO, then I will stop taking it tomorrow and wait for my temp spike and CH. If it is a one off then I will definitely be tossing it.
@cards10 I dont track CP myself as I find it difficult to decipher and not even sure if I am checking the right thing. Hope those swimmers are all Phelps' though! Yay for working from home! And yes, the Mucinex I am taking is purely expectorant and not a suppressant, so there is no "drying up" quality involved.
@dukestar5 Honestly, I say give it a go. I got the Mucinex tablets. The only ingredient in it is guaifenesin. It is only an expectorant and not a suppressant. I have been taking 1 tablet in the morning and one at night, roughly 12 hours apart for 3 days. As soon as my temp spikes I will stop. What I read was to start taking it 4-5 days prior to expected O and then stop once confirmed. Hope you get to go to the beach. Its definitely on my list for the weekend too! We will have to do a family gathering tomorrow with DH's side, so as long as there is good weather, I am happy.
@Augusta108 8 Oh exciting on the new laptop! That should be lots of fun. Sorry about the work drama though. Always seems to be the way.
@nitnat007 Thank you so much! I will out the Mucinex tablets on my list. FF predicts O on Tuesday, I'm thinking possibly Monday, so that should be enough time to take them and hopefully see some results.
@BusinessWife Ugh, so frustrating to be kind of up in the air again. I hope a meeting with your doctor gives you answers. @nitnat007 That is such an app description of EWCM. Ha! Glad something helped and hopefully husband will be down for a trip to pound town tonight. @lurvleybunchococonuts I've always been scared to try a facial. I have super sensitive, break out prone skin. Can't wait to hear how it goes. @SkilledSailor Oh I love when cities do that kind of thing. Ours is lame. Hope you have fun with your sister. **sorry need to P&G... I'll be back to finish tagging**
@SkilledSailor hope your CHs show up sooner rather than later and I hope you have a great time tonight with your sister! @cards10 penguins are my favorite animal That gif made me smile @dukestar5 & @nitnat007 cool thanks for the facial info - I hope it's relaxing @dukestart5 I hope you get to go to the beach too! A cold front came in last night so I'm not sure if we're gonna get to go to our new swimming hole this weekend @Augusta108 I'll definitely report back! Also YAY for the new laptop! Hope the word drama subsides quickly! Sorry if you've already talked about this and I just don't remember or missed it, stay-cation? @dukestar5 we will start stimms on cd3 once AF comes. Then however many days of stimms, the "antagonist" prevents early O, then trigger. 36 hours later is retrieval so we will know how many eggs that day. They will get fertilized with ICSI so we should get the fertilization rate the same or next day. Then the number of blasts you don't know till they have had five days to grow....
@pebbledam OOOOhhh I guess I should have refreshed my CP understanding, it's new to me. I thought LSO was ideal but it's HSO. I just searched in FF too. I guess it's a good sign I can't really reach it then lol. Thanks

@dukestar5 It's for a client. It's my first time doing a staging for this client and it's an amazing house. I've been prepping for weeks. Can't wait to see it all come together! A lot of small local shops stay open late for first Friday and feature local artists, hosting with wine and snacks. Then the galleries also stay open late and often the artists are there to talk about their work. It's pretty cool. And the beach this weekend sounds lovely! Hope you can go! Do you go running on the beach?
@nitnat007 I guess it's just a random dip then? Bodies are weird. And thank you for asking about the shoot! It went really well. We received the photos last night and are completely in love with them!
@fishsticks-n-custard Yay sleep! I'm amazed at how well you do with these long shifts.
@izza2 Its terrible when the interwebs wont work! Yay for HIO @BusinessWife I hear you on the PGS. I'm skipping it this cycle (i think) but if i somehow get a decent number of embies i will consider doing it next cycle (because i think it will give me some idea about quality of the first batch too, or i can thaw the first batch and test them all at once). But what 3 doctors from 3 different clinics have told me: PGS doesnt increase your chances of a take home baby. It simply increases your information about your embies. In other words if all my embies are bad and will not make a baby, then while pgs will tell me that in advance, the outcome will be the same (statistically). Of course there is the cost of transfers and heartache of failure. Was PGS/PGD suggested by your docs of just an added efficiency? @nitnat007 yay to half a day, maybe you can make DH keep his word with some afternoon delight? lol @lurvleybunchococonuts I loled at your empty inside chart! Those dogs are too cute! @SkilledSailor Come on CH's! Is your sis involved with the staging as well? Thats cool! @cards10 You lucky ducky with the pos opk! So jelly! @skilledsailor That is great news about the shoot! Glad you love the shots. And GL for the staging today. Sounds like you are on a roll! Had to ask, you said its the first time you are going out with your sister? Do you not normally do things together? Maybe I misread.
@dragonette505 Afternoon is not possible *possible TW we have his son with us this weekend (he is 8yo) end possible TW* so will have to hold out until this evening sadly. Loving that gif!
@dragonette505. Yeah, because we do want to eventually transfer all, so there's a big difference between going back for a specific number of known normies and thinking you're going to go back for lke 16 transfers - if you have that many frosties, and it's a roll of the dice each time. You're not. We don't just want a live birth, we want all our babies!!! I have to give them all a shot!!! I dunno, I mean we have to see how it goes but if you have even 6 frosties and 2 normies in there, it seems crazy to just take a stab in the dark each time. But she seemed to think at my age it might only be 40% abnormal. And cautioned us that any with Downs would be discarded. When before she made it sound like they might just keep for us and not transfer unless we moved to a different facility or something. Discarded. So I don't like the sound of that, but I don't like the idea of not knowing how many normies we have out of like 16 frosties lol. I have no way to know, but if my afc is 19, I would think I could get double digit eggs, maybe fertilisation is where we lose the most bc ICSI, IDK, maybe then only so many make it to freeze.... I just wish knew ahead of time a better idea if what kind of numbers/results we'd be working with.... :/
@BusinessWife Yup if you get a ton of Embies (and plan to transfer all the viables) then you almost have to test don't you? Being super old, I'm likely to transfer large multiples as well (so it cuts down on # of transfers) But at your age they probably wouldn't want to xfer more than 2 at a time. Sounds like you almost HAVE to. Then really it only sux that they are springing this on you so close to cycling... I know we are not really budgeting for it this cycle (though I am mentally earmarking about 2K for whatever eventualities) But like I wouldn't be planning to buy a new bag right now if I thought I was paying for PGS. Hopefully insurance will reimburse a bit??

@BusinessWife I'm sorry that you may end up paying OOP and that YH is struggling with the PGS. Question that is nosy and you don't have to answer- when you say you would give them all a shot, would you give all the normies and the non-normies a shot, in that order, no matter what was irregular about the non-normies? I know your feeling on downs and can understand it because I have worked with downs kids, adults, and their families and know that downs babies can still have a very good QOL, but putting aside aside downs, would you transfer all regardless of genetic status? Or are there certain things you would consider non-viable due to genetics? Again, super nosy, just wondering.
@mileswithmyles. What!?!?! There is an ice cream museum? Sign me up! Also, agreed. It's hard when running buddies are out of town. I'm much less motivated to run alone.
@JennyColada. Painting tonight sounds fun. Is it for something special? Like a wine & painting night with girlfriends?

GTKY: What are 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful? Love this question. 1. Fresh water (oceans are just not my thing) 2. Crisp fall mornings. Love this 50 degree mornings when the day still gets up to 75-80 but starts out nice and cool. 3. Mountains. I love hiking and find how mountains were made fascinating.
@zamora_spin. No, the way it works is if they test it and it's non-viable, it's discarded. I am pretty much fine with that. They test 5-10 cells, and it's Nexgen testing, should be pretty reliable that way. They do keep any that may be somehow incinclusive. Downs is the type of exception where now she is telling me - even tho it MAY BE technically viable, they will not recommend it for transfer, and it would be discarded. End of story. The only way to transfer ALL regardless of chromosomal normality, is not to test. But if you end up with a lot, like @dragonette505 said, you almost have to test to know how many normies you are really going back for.... Annnnd you have to decide prior to the cycle starting. You don't get to wait and see how many you get before deciding. So that definitely makes it harder, too.
@BusinessWife Ah ok, thank you for explaining that to me. That sucks they make you decide on the front end - I agree it would be better to be able to decide if you know how many you have to work with. I have a friend who went through IVF recently and struggled with the decisions surrounding it (she and her H are Catholic) - in her case the dr recommended not freezing and not doing PGS just based on their individual circumstances. She is about my age and their IF was unexplained, her H is in his late 40's. They had not decided what they would do if they ended up with way more embies than they could reasonably transfer even in multiple transfers and donation was on the table for possible snowflake adoption by other couples. Possible TW, They didn't have to make that decision because they ended up with two embies and transferred both but one did not make it past 10w, and she is due with a (very healthy) singleton in December. end TW I am hoping so hard that both you and @dragonette505 will be ku so soon with your beautiful take-home babies.

CS/Q: I missed my temp yesterday, womp womp. But so far the past few have at least been in the same "range".
GTKY: What are 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful?
Gif'ing my way through life right now.

WAYDTGKU: Temping and WFAF / WFIVF

Incredible.

WAYDTGKU: pnv, epo, bbt, pom juice, mucinex, ubiquinol, acupuncture, hio

CS/Q: HISS! My chart looks like my soul... empty inside
GTKY: What are 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful?
I
1) clouds
2) when the seasons change
a) spring when all the trees are blossoming/everything is new and fresh
b) fall when all the leaves start to change colors and it's the perfect weather just enough chill in the air for a sweatshirt
3) star gazing - I LOVE staring up at the stars and looking for constellations on clear nights. Wish I lived further in the middle of nowhere so there was less city/street lights to disrupt it

@izza2 I love your nature gifs!

@businesswife ugh, insurance. I hope you can work out a plan with your dr for how to move forward!

@BusinessWife, that all sounds super stressful. I hope YH gets a little easier to talk to about things and that you're able to work out the billing to at least be reimbursed!
@nitnat007, my husband is "too tired" more than I'd like during my FW, too. I hope yours finds some energy by tonight for you!

GTKY: Waterfalls, spider webs, sunsets.

@fishsticks-n-custard Yay sleep! I'm amazed at how well you do with these long shifts.
@Augusta108 Oh a new laptop! What did you get?
@BusinessWife I hear you on the PGS.
@nitnat007 yay to half a day, maybe you can make DH keep his word with some afternoon delight? lol
@lurvleybunchococonuts I loled at your empty inside chart! Those dogs are too cute!
@SkilledSailor Come on CH's! Is your sis involved with the staging as well? Thats cool!

@skilledsailor That is great news about the shoot! Glad you love the shots. And GL for the staging today. Sounds like you are on a roll! Had to ask, you said its the first time you are going out with your sister? Do you not normally do things together? Maybe I misread.

Then really it only sux that they are springing this on you so close to cycling...
