I think I may have O'd yesterday. Not sure since it's only been 2 weeks since I finished miscarrying so I'm not tracking anything this cycle. I'm only going by my usual symptoms and a + OPK yesterday (but it was suuuuper dark so I'm wondering if it also would have been + the day before). Not holding out hope for a natural BFP since we've only had one of those in the last 5 years, but it sure would be nice so we don't have to jump back in to treatments next month.

10, 11, 12, who knows... dpo. AF due on Thursday-ish. Broke down and POAS this morning, BFN. So I'm probably out for this cycle. The rest of you need to put some points on the board for us and get some BFPs this month!!
I think I might be out. Had a bit of discolored discharge which usually signals AF. But I'm okay with that as it was spontaneous BD and I was supposed to wait at least another cycle (DH had other plans)!
I know I"m grasping at straws here ladies but was wondering if c section scar tissue can somehow be presenting us with issues this time around. Only had 1 c section 6 years ago and healed up just fine from it. I've known ladies that have had up to 4 c sections with no issues getting pregnant. I think I'd just like to rule all that out. Hoping they can see it on an ultrasound.
I just had a friend have her 4th c section no issues getting pregnant. So do they see it on ultrasound @sprkls8506. I've already had all testing done with fertility.
I've had the HSG. So I have my ob annual in 3 weeks and I don't really want to do medical intervention. I decided in sept I would use opks again and take more supplements.
@vlagrl It's possible that it could cause problems, sure. Any surgery can leave scar tissue and any scar tissue in the area could potentially impact fertlity (impairing blood flow, etc). It's worth looking into. If you are not interested in medical intervention, especially since surgery to correct scar tissue could just result in more scar tissue (an annoying truth about surgery), you could look into alternative therapies such as myan abdominal massage, which helps to physically break up scar tissue/adhesions and restore normal blood flow.
@vlagrl29 I don't think you're grasping at all. Scar tissue is often implicated in fertility issues. The egg has to get through the tubes and implant and scar tissue can cause blockages and obstacles, I'm sure. Definitely have that convo with your doc. I like @rosemaryandthyme 's suggestion about fertility massage. I've been starting to research some at home massages to try to avoid paying for a professional masseuse. Pinterest has everything!!!
8dpo here. No symptoms. Previous pregnancies I had light implantation bleeding so I'm not feeling too hopeful but we shall see. Still could be too early. I'll POAS either late Thursday or Friday. AF due Sunday or Monday.
@rosemaryandthyme - yep that was my plan if I do have issue with scar tissue. Get some fertility massage. I'd really be shocked though but I want to rule this last thing out. A friend of mine who has also had a section mentioned it to me. I really can't wait to have that OB appt! See what he thinks. Get the U/S and talk to him about what might be the next plan for us. Him being a doctor he probably knows nothing but pharmaceuticals but who knows. I'd much prefer natural supplements.
@vlagrl29 I think it's a great idea to bring it up with your doc. I think the standard conventional treatment is surgery, but for the reasons I stated earlier, this could be a good time to try less invasive options first. Make sure you find a massage therapist who will really "get in there" and manually break up any scar tissue, rather than just somebody who's going to gently rub your belly Massage therapy for adhesions isn't necessarily going to feel relaxing, but it can work wonders if done well!
Oh I'm sure they will have to get in there @rosemaryandthyme but honestly I'm really hoping it's not an issue. Just if it was if want to know. I had the go to c section doctor at our hospital.
Overall im still feeling strong on no medical intervention mainly because I don't want to possibly hurt something that's not broken so to speak. In sept I'll probably start researching herbs to take.
Spotting lightly started today which means I've been TTCAL officially 6 months. I have to say though these last 2 months have been so much better mentally for me. I no longer beat myself up and I truly feel nothing is wrong with me. So I'm going to continue with not tracking cycles for at least another month.
@vlagrl29 Sorry about the spotting/presumed end of cycle...I admire how you are taking it in stride. Since you have mentioned being interested in natural therapies down the road, have you ever looked into whether or not you have any good naturopathic physicians near you? One well-versed in women's health, etc could be a great adjunct to your OB and would be able to give expert counsel on herbs, etc. It will depend on what state you live in whether or not they are licensed in primary care (and can therefore run labs, prescribe, accept insurance, etc), but it's possible you could find a good fit with someone with that skill set.
I'm not feeling well this morning so POAS because I'm weak. BFN. I know I'm only 9dpo so it's probably too soon but meh. Still no sore boobs or spotting which I've had with all 3 of my pregnancies (2 losses.) I don't know why I do this to myself.
TW (child mentioned)....
My 2 year old woke DH and I up at 3:30am and it took 2 hours to get him back to sleep so of course now I can't get back to sleep and now I can't take BBT today. And I'm on my second cup of coffee and feeling guilty about it. Have you all limited your caffine intake during TWW?
@julzy Yes, I did eliminate caffeine beverages although I still will eat chocolate (if that counts)!
@vlagrl29 I'm sure that you've probably already had it done as you mentioned you've done all the fertility testing - but has your husband been tested also? I feel like we're always so quick to blame ourselves and our bodies, and forget that there's two sides to babymaking.
@julzy I limited myself to 1 cup of coffee in the morning. But then read that green tea helps with implantation, so I also have a cuppa green tea in the afternoon. I could make it caffeine free by brewing my teabag twice, but I don't wanna.
@rosemaryandthyme - I've thought about it but hadn't looked into it yet thinking that natural doctors are not covered by insurance but I will have more free time in about 2 weeks so after I talk to my OB I can check into it.
@silvergreen - yeah DH has also been checked and is good. we both had all testing in early december and a week later found out I was pregnant with our loss go figure but at least we had it done.
@vlagrl29 I know you said alternative therapies might not be covered by your insurance, just thought I'd give my experience. I have some coverage but am otherwise OOP so it does get super expensive.
I started seeing a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine when I was trying to conceive my son and she did wonders for me. The acupuncture and herbs really worked to naturally balance out my cycles (I wasn't having any hormonal issues and had regular ovulatory cycles, but my luteal phase was a bit on the short side and I got awful PMS symptoms). I also started chiro which at first made my cycles really wacky (I have SO MUCH tension in my lower to mid back) but then after a few months, I had zero pain with AF and it was way less heavy. I was also doing massage therapy at the same time so that my muscles were nice and relaxed for the chiro adjustments. I found so much relief with these treatments and they were great for my cycles (I was really skeptical and just doing anything that could possibly help, but by the end, my mind was blown). I was pregnant with my son within 3 months. I don't think everyone has this kind of experience, but for me, it was really awesome. I'm doing all three again right now and it's super taxing on the wallet, but I want to see if I have the same results. I'm also seeing a naturopath who specializes in fertility this time around and the supplements she has put me on have made me feel like a completely different (healthy!) person. It's truly been life changing for me (I've suffered for years with IBS and chronic migraines....blood work showed I was deficient in a whole wack of nutrients which we have now fixed).
I actually JUST made an appointment to see a Maya Abdominal Massage practitioner. I have heard nothing but good things. If you are curious about scar tissue or the position of your uterus since your C-section. I would check it out. I think they usually say you need 2-3 appointments to get things in the right place again/break up scar tissue, and you also have to keep up with daily self care. I'll let you know how it goes https://arvigotherapy.com/content/faqs

Good luck finding answers @vlagrl29. I feel like I have learned so much reading the posts on these boards. @julzy good luck! Glad your still in! AF Today so I'm out.
Thanks @tosh24 - we are limited on funds so if things are not covered with ins we honestly can't afford much. Say I do need fertility massage then I would only pursue that route. Say everything is fine then I will try and find a natural doc that can help me find the right supplements. The thing is I don't want this taking over my life which is why I have not been tracking. My gut is telling me nothing physically is wrong and not to do medical intervention. My cycles are perfect so to speak. 29-30 days with ovulation and all the cervical mucous that comes with it, 2 days pre af spotting followed by AF. No major PMS symptoms, no LP defect etc. so this is why I'm hesitant to take something that may mess it up. Plus I don't want to back peddle mentally and start blaming myself again. Also I don't feel like I'm old probably because I'm in better shape than I was 6 years ago.
@tosh24 Sounds like you're on an awesome path...I'm so glad you found therapies and providers that have helped you so much! I love hearing about folks who are happy with their complementary and alternative care providers!
This is our first cycle TTC after a MC mid-March. I forgot how much I hate the 2WW. OPKs were never positive this week, but I had 1 1/2 weeks of EWCM and 2 days with O type pain, so I'm either DPO3 or DPO7. The urge to POAS is so strong!
@vlagrl29 I think they smell good and can have good topical applications (ie: tea tree for fugus and lavender for burns, etc), but as far as more extensive treatment for anything systemic or for hormonal issues, I have no idea! Don't drink them!!
I was lurking but @vlagrl29. I did use the young living essential oil called progessence plus that has wild yams in it. It is supposed to help with progesterone levels. Honestly I didn't notice any difference and the cycle that worked I hardly took it. You put a couple of drops on your neck. I thought it was worth a shot. It also claims to help with PMS symptoms

POAS this morning 11dpo and it was negative but it was a cheapie. Now just started light pink spotting. Not sure if it's implantation bleeding or if AF is just on her way. I sometimes spot before AF and I've had implantation bleeding with all 3 of my previous pregnancies so meh. My gut is saying it's probably AF coming and I'm probably out.
I'm on day 3 of my Benadryl during the implantation window. It's going ok except that it makes me really jittery. Does anyone else here use the Ovia app? I was using the app from TCOYF but stumbled across Ovia. So far I really like it.
Just got a BFP. It's early. The line is light and I'm not going to get excited yet because I've been down this road before but for now all I can do is wait and hope and take care of myself. I know I haven't been here long (we were trying for a year -- last MC was on Thanksgiving) but I've appreciated that you've all welcomed me and gave advice and support when I've needed it. I'll be lurking here for a while because again.. I'm not sure this is going to stick. We'll see.
