I could really go for a craving or two. It's all aversions here. Nothing tastes particularly great, but the most palatable are salty and sharp flavors. So... salad iwth Italian dressing and feta, salt and vinegar chips, bagel/bread/English muffin with tomato and salt, triscuits and cheddar.
I have a strong aversion to ice cream which is beyond sad. I feel like I'm on the cusp of a coffee aversion, in which case I don't know how I'll get through the day. My sweet tooth is greatly less, though I've been wanting homemade choc chip cookies, from the freezer, so much that I dreamed about them and finally today had he energy to make I think happen. I need to freeze them now lol.
Mostly dinners are fine. Steak doesn't sound very appealing at all and I have a strong aversion to lamb last weekend.
My bday is tomorrow and I have no clue what's I'll get for my bday drink at sbux. Lol. Certainly not my normal bday test s'mores frappacino haha.
@pghctwife An aversion to ice cream sounds like the saddest pregnancy woe ever! I've been eating it nonstop. I'm with you on the coffee aversion, though, unfortunately.
@JBcakes08 The universe sent me your thank your card in the form of half off the BIG jar of Nutella!
@pghctwife I'm with you. I could use having a craving to guide me. I'm finding things that happen to taste wonderful, but they don't come close to a craving so every feeding session is a guessing game of "Will I vom or not?"
Too much. My pregnant self is eating too much (sometimes). I've found that when a food will really sit well, I end up overeating it because I'm so happy to enjoy a food. I need a happy medium!
@bookishbaker my kids mostly just hate me I think. I've never had aversions at all before but I do get really bad heartburn later in pregnancy. I mostly can control it with rx meds but I couldn't eat ice cream, or chocolate. If I slipped I'd be vomity allll day.
No pickles or ice cream for this mama. Whomp whomp.
I'm not eating all that much lately. This baby doesn't seem to like anything. I get cravings for soup pretty often but I think that may be more because it's something light that I'd have a chance at actually keeping down.
i did eat half of a Pizza Hut pizza the other day though. I was in heaven
@LiveNLove44 - if you like tortellini, you have to try this recipe: https://www.wegmans.com/meals-cooking/recipes/salads/tortellini-salad.html I add chicken (because my husband doesn't consider something a meal unless it has meat) - it's SOOO good! And it last for days, so it's perfect to make on the weekend and have for lunch during the week!
@dirtyhairdontcare that looks awesome! Do you grill the chicken? I suppose it doesn't matter, but I'm curious if that flavor works well. It looks so good!! Thank you!
My adversions have been so bad I couldn't bring myself to even read this board! I think I'm over the hump and can join in!!!! I've literally been living off of bagels with butter and plums/nectarines.
Chocolate chip muffins for the win! We made them for breakfast yesterday because we were out of pancake mix (I know, I know, we probably could have made pancakes from scratch...color me lazy), and they are carrying me through the weekend! I love a little sweet treat mid-day with my half-caff. coffee!
@pumpkinpancake - die hard Wegman's shopper. I attempted to shop else where to keep my grocery budget in check, but I decided to make cuts elsewhere b/c I missed Wegman's too much
@dirtyhairdontcare I'm so jealous!! I used to live 10 minutes away from a wegmans and did all my shopping there. Then we moved to the west coast, and there are no wegmans here. I miss it so much!!
I live near a Wegmans, love it! Right now though I'm still only craving fruit, cheese, and pickles. I have no interest in meat, bread, or anything else, though I'm forcing myself to eat a more balanced diet. I'm pretty much nauseous 24/7 at this point, I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow. I hope things will get better, because each consecutive week, I've felt worse .
My diet is HORRENDOUS right now. Like I literally can't remember the last time I had a vegetable. The only thing I can stomach is sweet and sugary foods. I'm so jealous of you all because literally nothing sounds good most of the time. and if it does, it makes me extremely sick after like 3 bites. I am however eating the mess out of sour skittles. Maybe that will help combat some of the weight loss

I feel you. I've lost 10 pounds already just from not being able to eat. Hopefully, the vitamins are helping.
Happy dance! Successfully had my sbux drink and I selected well and bday cake was delish no aveesion! (VanillA cake with marscapone/whipped cream and fresh fruit) still was nauseous and exhausted this afternoon so even with being able to eat I didn't feel nervous
I actually ate a fried egg tonight and didn't get sick at the smell or taste so hopefully that aversion is over. I ate half an apple with peanut butter and that was awesome. This GD thing is hard at this point because so many of the things I want are carbs. On a positive note I have lost 8 lbs in 2 weeks- which my doctor will be happy with.
I was worried about overdoing it on coffee in the first tri because I had been feeling pretty good and still craved it. Since my MS has kicked in the last few days I want nothing to do with it. Sad but I guess that solves that problem.
As of yesterday, I have been trying to make better eating choices. Sooooo, for dinner I sautéed shrimp, zucchini, rice cauliflower, and brown rice. I wasn't able to eat all of it because I started to feel a tinge of nausea. I felt better after drinking another glass of Crystal Light. Lol. **shrugs**
@isntthatspeshul I was friends with michelle from brown eyed baker in college - we lived The same floor two years. Her blog is so great, and I always smile when I see people posting it!
I just want to crave SOMETHING. I feel like I flip flop every day. Whatever I could tolerate yesterday, no-go the next day. It is VERY frustrating. All the food your pregnant selves are eating sounds good...in my head.

@gingham@scoogy19- TEAM MICKEY Ds!!! Get those babies some fries, nugs, and an ice cream cone. Honestly - I feel like anyone who says they don't like mcdonald's (my husband included) only say it because that's what you're "supposed" to say. Does anyone for realz not like their french fries?
Has anyone tried this new yogurt from Yoplait called Oui? It's supposed to be "french-style" (I'm sure it's a total racket) - but oh man, it's good.
@missydallas I can honestly say that I don't like McDonald's fries (maybe this should be a FFFC?). When I used to eat fast food, I always liked Burger King fries way better than McDonald's. Nowadays, I always prefer French fries from restaurants where they are thicker/have skins, and i dont really enjoy McDonald's ones.
All this talk about fries makes me want some fries with fry sauce. Maybe not. Wait. Yep. Sounds good. Well, probably ordering some, having about five and being done.

I love McDonald's and I'm not ashamed. But I love the fries you find sometimes that are crispy on the outside like you find at the small mom and pop places. Haha
@isntthatspeshul that looks delicious!! Can't believe I've never heard of it!
totally had mcD's for dinner yesterday and I literally never eat it. This thread is so dangerous, I want to eat everything now. Slowly coming out of my potato coma and want pizza, pop (also never drink), bagels....salty carbs.

I want pizza rolls. Like words cannot explain how badly I want a plate of pizza rolls. I also want soup.
