Re: Weekly Questions 7/23-7/29

  • @ishmoney Thank You! Now I am finally remove the other apps I was comparing Ovia with.
  • Loading the player...
  • @barrelocarol he ended up speaking to my old lead of the position I wanted to move back to and said that he didn't see me as a value there with the "problem" I have and my old lead basically backed me up and said he needs my help there and doesn't see me being pregnant as a problem
  • @becausescience yeah I know, I was in the bathroom crying for like 20 minutes because he made me feel so bad about myself and my coworker told me to start recording him
  • What's the deal with CM while pregnant? Some days there's so much, other days it's completely dry. What's normal?
  • Anyone else's DH or partner seem so disengaged with your pregnancy? I know I'm hormonal and sensitive, but with my nausea and exhaustion, he just seems annoyed that I'm pregnant, it makes me sad  :'(
Yes, my husband was like that with our first. I think it's hard for them to really "get it". Mine is better with the second, so far. He seems more excited, I guess because he knows what's coming this time.
  • Big chested ladies, have you noticed your boobs already getting bigger? I am normally a 38DDD. I went up to an F with my first pregnancy but back down after. I've noticed that my boobs are pretty much suffocating in my bras already. It's awful!
  • @TennisLove30 I'm not quite as big as you but my first pregnancy I outgrew bras a few times. A friend gave me a bra extender which was awesome! This time around, I'm still breastfeeding and my boobs have shrunk a bit the past few months so I'm back in prepregnancy bras. I'm sure they will pick up again soon...
  • I've got a question for any STM (or 3rd or 4th etc). When did your MS end with your other pregnancy(s)? I can't quite remember but I think mine was around 13 weeks. It's more severe this time around and I'm hoping it starts getting better sooner. 5 more weeks sounds like torture! Wishful thinking I'm sure.

@itsmemario I hate to say this but last time for me it lasted until 17 weeks :(
My DH was a groomsman in a wedding when I was 15 weeks and I had thought I'd be well over MS by then. I had to quickly leave in the middle of the dinner a couple of times to find somewhere I could discreetly vomit. It was the worst!   I hope this passes for you well before then!!!
  • @itsmemario With my son I didn't have it. With my daughter I dealt with constant nausea until 26ish weeks. Dealing with it again and I'm between 9 and 10 weeks, still going strong..
  • @itsmemario, with DS, my morning sickness continued until 24 weeks. But it was definitely less intense after probably 18 weeks.
  • @isntthatspeshul I can't remember if I read this from the Mayo clinic or ACOG, but I think CM fluctuations are what's normal. I remember being very over cm last pregnancy, and that's probably a very odd statement.

Mine lasted until about 16-18 weeks with my baby #2. I didn't have it that bad with my first.
  • @chasingroygbiv 26 weeks! I can't even imagine. I hope you get some relief sooner than that this time around.
  • @scotiagirl That does not sound like fun. I don't have any obligations outside of the home until about halfway through week 13 and after that my month is packed. I'm really hoping it's gone or at least subsided by then!
  • @itsmemario I felt better around week 14 last time. According to what I've read, about half of women feel better by then. That would be good timing for you!
  • @garnetmama Yes it would! Fingers crossed!

Luckily with my son I never really had any morning sickness... this time around is a different story but it also isn't terrible. I hope you start feeling better soon.

My question is, does anyone have an air purifier and do you like it? Or do you have a particular brand you recommend? Thanks in advance!

Edited because it's late and I can't type.
  • @isntthatspeshul Bleh. When I am pregnant it's god awful and it only gets worse. But everything I've read (I was a concerned FTM at one time) says it's normal. It usually gets thicker towards the end of your pregnancy. Panty liners become your best friend as well as granny panties.

@TennisLove30 My first pregnancy I started out as a 36C and ended in 38DD and while I was nursing I couldn't tell you how big they got because most of the time I wore sports bras XL. Second pregnancy Started out overweight compared to my first and my boobs were pretty big. I wanna say I started at 38DDD but they grew so fast that I felt like I was buying a new bra every 2 weeks. At the end of my pregnancy pretty sure I was in an F. But when I stopped nursing I got a job that required a lot of walking and I lost a lot of weight and my boobs deflated and prepregnancy this time I'm at a 36B and I've quickly realized I need a new bra already.

    Baby #3 due March 2018

  • @itsmemario I didn't have horrible MS with my first but I think it was pretty much done by 10 weeks. Have hope- it doesn't always last a long time!
  • @bookishbaker 10 weeks sounds like a dream come true at this point!
