Friday I have my first appointment with the obstetrician (we we're previously seeing a midwife before we got classified as high risk) and a follow up with the the perinatologist next Monday.
I get two appts this week: OB on Thursday at 16 weeks and high-risk doc on Friday for first transvaginal U/S to check cervix and decide if I want to start Makena progesterone shots
I had a quick appt today. Got to hear the baby's heartbeat and had blood drawn for the quad screen. Still waiting on DH's darn genetic results. How can time crawl this slowly?! Trying to have patience (and faith).
I see my midwife for my 16 week appointment on Wednesday, and am hoping for a bit more guidance on these breakthroughs bleeds and movement restrictions.

I have my next appointment tomorrow morning! I'm always so excited and yet so nervous because it's been a month since I've seen the baby. And I always love getting more pictures!

Had a routine appointment today at 16 weeks 4 days. Baby was moving quiet a bit, making the heartbeat difficult to find. It was a strong heartbeat. I go in two weeks to learn the sex...counting down the days!
@addyplusone Thanks!! The appointment went really well. Everything looked good with baby. I was even down one pound from last month, which is good for me since I was overweight to begin with. The only bummer was that I had to redraw my 2nd trimester genetic screen, I guess they did it too early last time. But, we know with almost certainty that we're having a boy. Will confirm at Anatomy Scan in about two weeks.
I had my second appt. yesterday. My OB was running behind so I was given the option to see this new doc in the practice to be seen sooner, so I totally took it since it wasn't a major appt. Heartbeat was in the 150s. At first the tech couldn't get it then she did, then she doctor wanted to redo it, so I got to hear it twice. Truly nothing better. When I checked out I scheduled my anatomy scan for end of August (soooooooooo excited!) as well as the rest of my appointments for the rest of my pregnancy, the type A in me is super happy to have the ability to plan for work around that.
So I apparently have another appointment this coming week now (my anatomy appt is scheduled for august 24th). Yesterday DH took me to the Obstetrics wing at the hospital my OB is affiliated with, cause i had a sudden gush of bright red blood (on-call nurse told us to go there instead of the ER). The bleeding had mostly stopped by the time we got there, and the ultrasound showed that both babies were active and had strong heartbeats. The on-call OB checked everything out and sent me home with instructions to rest and to literally not pick up anything, and to make a follow up with my OB for mid-week. I know bleeding can be common, but jesus, it was freaky and scary!
