@whitta1218 I was in pain at the end of my last pregnancy (likely due to DD being frank breech and her butt stuck in my pelvis). My hips were horribly sore and it hurt to even walk. Also - spontaneously went into labor at 36 weeks. So there's that.
@whitta1218 I went with my in-laws to the OR coast (5hrs from here) when I was 37 weeks. It was at that point my legs and feet started swelling but I still remember having a really good time. I felt huge but still active - we walked on the beach, etc. I agree that everyone is different.
@clc515 I'd keep them if I were you. I'm a clean person but not a complete germ-freak. If you're worried about it, run them through your washer and dryer on hot, if they can handle it. I also think I remember reading somewhere the freezer can kill stuff (I remember no details, take it with a grain of salt). Also, highly depends on the level of cleanliness from the friend who donated them.
Thanks everyone! I may try to get something mid-late October. I'll be around Week 30 at that point. Won't be doing much except sitting in a cabin/grilling out....just hoping for a nice get-away for a couple of days!
@clc515 we got some handmedown stuffed animals for DD. I tossed them in a pillow case, put a rubber band on the open end to keep it closed, and washed as normal. Worked really well!
I felt pretty good up until maybe 34 weeks with DD. However that was end of May/beginning of June and it was starting to get hot and humid so I was so uncomfortable. It's definitely different for every person!
@whitta1218 I agree that every pregnancy is different. Anyway you can tentatively plan it? You will know how you are feeling when it gets closer.
With DD I developed Symphsis Pubis Dysfunction around 28 weeks, it made even walking to the bathroom painful. Then I was put on bedrest at 34 weeks. This time around I'm not going anywhere after 33ish weeks. So if my family wants to see us for the holidays they have to drive down to us.
@clc515 just think of all the mouths soft toys at daycares have been in. The scene from Toy Story 3 is pretty accurate. If you can throw it in the was it should be fine.

Fun! That sounds like a good plan. I was active well Into month 7 - climbing, hiking and camping - but yeah, right around 34 weeks I was huge and pretty much over it.
I also wash stuffed toys in a pillow case on gentle cycle in a front loader. I've also heard that you can freeze toys them vacuum them... But I've never done this or researched to verify.

I'm not particularly a germaphobe, but ya know how those internet lists go... everything's a danger!
