Hey everyone! I hope you're all having a great week so far!
Feel free to add to this post through out the week!

What are you looking forward to this week?

What are you dreading?

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week?

Random thoughts?

GTKY: What's your organizational style? Does everything have a place? Slightly chaotic, but you know where everything is? No organization, just kinda wing it?

What are you looking forward to this week? Getting a break from my primary job, just to work my secondary job. Seems stupid, but I need a break from some of the co-workers in the office I've been filling in at!

What are you dreading? Paying bills. :grimace:

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week? Just all stuff related to health/wellness.

    Random thoughts? Just trucking along!

GTKY: What's your organizational style? Does everything have a place? Slightly chaotic, but you know where everything is? No organization, just kinda wing it? Slightly/morethanslightly chaotic, but I know where pretty much everything is and it's "Izza/DH Organized".

  • What are you looking forward to this week?
Story time at the library? My kid's swim lessons? That's all I have planned that's fun.

    What are you dreading?
DH's car is getting worked on, so I'm having to take him to work some this week. His commute is an hour. So if I go back home after I drop him off, that's essentially 4 hours of driving for me. Ugh.

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week?
Just the same old cleaning and organizing.

    Random thoughts?
I'm bored and broke right now. I didn't get paid this month (because I'm a substitute teacher) and I didn't start my new job until right before the deadline of getting paid for July, so I'm just twiddling my thumbs a lot.

GTKY: What's your organizational style? Does everything have a place? Slightly chaotic, but you know where everything is? No organization, just kinda wing it?

Definitely not very organized, but I did ok as a teacher organizing my classroom. I do like the initial organizing process, I'm just bad at putting things back where they go.

  • What are you looking forward to this week?
Just trying to relax and enjoy my summer - It's almost over  :'(

    What are you dreading?
Nothing really - I do have a curriculum meeting this week but it is only one day so that's not bad

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week?
Keeping up with the cleaning and housework

    Random thoughts?
I really hope I get a nap later today

GTKY: What's your organizational style? Does everything have a place? Slightly chaotic, but you know where everything is? No organization, just kinda wing it?
My classroom at school is extremely organized but at home I have a harder time. It is hard to be the only one in your house that likes to organize :/
  • @izza2 It's good to have a break from co-workers every now and then. I hope you enjoy your time.
@lalala2004 That commute sounds horrible! When will your DH's car be fixed?
@glitzandglitter I hope you enjoy your last bit of summer holidays!
@kindbytealikat Have fun with your DH and enjoy your adult time! My DH and I are going for a mini vacation next month and leaving DD with my parents. I'm looking forward to having time away from DD, but I know I'm going to miss her terribly.

What are you looking forward to this week? It will be busy at work, so this week should fly by! And on Saturday I'm going wedding dress shopping with my SIL and all the bridesmaids, it should be fun.

What are you dreading? The heat, I can't wait for cooler temperatures.

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week? I joined a book club, so I need to start reading the book.

Random thoughts? It's almost too hot to HIO. Can you tell I don't do well with the heat?

GTKY: What's your organizational style? Does everything have a place? Slightly chaotic, but you know where everything is? No organization, just kinda wing it? I like everything organized and it stresses me out when the house is a mess. DH on the other hand thrives in the chaos.
  • @ChloandCoco hopefully tomorrow, but it could be as late as Wednesday. For tomorrow I'm planning to just hang out in the area all day, eat lunch with him, go to the mall out there, maybe hang out with my SIL, niece and nephew since they love out that way. But I don't want to do that every day until the car is fixed!

  • @ChloandCoco - have fun dress shopping! What book are you reading?
@secretstapler - I hope you enjoy your vacation
@kindbytealikat - sounds like you have a fun week planned
@lalala2004 - that sucks you missed the deadline :( I hope you end up having a great week despite not having much planned. Sometimes weeks like that are the best for me.
@izza2 - glad you are getting a break from annoying coworkers. I hear you on the bill paying - that part of adulting sucks for real
@dreamscapes_ Where are you hiding today? Working? Hope you pop on soon :)
  • @glitzandglitter It's called, "Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss (not 100% on the author).
  • I'm gong to post and go, but will come back later to read through these and comment.  :)

What are you looking forward to this week?
It's the last week before I have to go back to school.  I'm looking forward to some hang out time with DS.  He's also starting a new daycare this year and we have an orientation this week.  I'm interested to see what they say.  DH actually has off that day so he is going to go too!

    What are you dreading?
I'm currently waiting for a guy to come out to our house.  At a termite inspection this weekend, the guy found 2 snake skins in my basement.  A SNAKE!! I appreciate what snakes do but I am really freaked out that it is in my basement!  I'm really praying that it isn't expensive!

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week?
I am planning on trying to finish setting up my classroom before getting started next week.  I want to do lesson plans during our first week rather than set up.  I also want to do a couple really fun this with DS.

    Random thoughts?

GTKY: What's your organizational style? Does everything have a place? Slightly chaotic, but you know where everything is? No organization, just kinda wing it?  I'm trying REALLY hard to be more organized.  This summer I started doing a nightly clean up with DS.  Each night we go through the house and clean up/put away things.  It's been working well and currently doesn't take long since we do it each night.

  • You guys - I do have something to dread this week that I forgot about... the dentist  :'( I have to get a cavity filled today.
@dreamscapes_ I'm glad you have a few days off. FX they figure it out and don't have to go back to HR. Good luck at your appointment tomorrow.
@diaphena - glad you are feeling better!
@JNCPro3130 - I hope you enjoy your last free week! I'm not too much farther behind you :'(
  • KFrobKFrob member
JNCPro3130  Oh my!  DH has a serious fear of snakes and would have had us moving out the second the skins were found.
    Secretstapler Yay for time off!!

@kindbytealikatChloandCoco  Jealous of your couples time away!  DH and I could really use some time together.  I just said last night that kids (as much as we love them) are like a wedge that tries to drive us apart.

What are you looking forward to this week?  Our daycare provider is on vacation for three weeks so to accommodate I have a bunch of time off.  This week I have Tuesday and Wednesday off.  I'm really looking forward to doing some fun stuff with DD.

What are you dreading? We have two kids' my brother's birthday parties this weekend.  I'm selfishly wishing we didn't have anything to do.  I need a weekend off to relax and clean.

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week?  Cleaning the bathroom would be great!

    Random thoughts?

GTKY: What's your organizational style? Does everything have a place? Slightly chaotic, but you know where everything is? No organization, just kinda wing it?  If I had the time, money, and energy my house would be a spotless organized wonder with a place for everything!  I might be slightly OCD.  I'm always trying to tackle my arch nemesis the Tupperware cabinet!
  • @izza2 enjoy your week at a different job!
@lalala2004 that commute sucks hopefully it goes quickly
@glitzandglitter I have the same problem with trying to organize my house
@ChloandCoco I hear you about this stupid heat, ready got fall
@Secretstapler enjoy your vacation!!! That's crazy about MIL I've never thought about how those work.
@dreamscapes_ Good Luck at the gyno and enjoy your days off. Hopefully HR gets things worked out and quick.
@diaphena have fun catching up, that sounds so fun!
    @JNCPro3130 I can't stand snakes, I'd be freaking out!! :o

  • Wow I totally had a reply typed up and then I got distracted, so here it is:

@izza2 that doesn't seem stupid at all, I totally get needing a break from certain coworkers (but not needing/wanting a break from working).

@lalala2004 congrats on the new job? Sorry the paycheck timing was off!

glitzandglitter hopefully you had a good relaxing summer break. I feel like just yesterday you were posting that your break is starting :(

kindbytealikat it sounds like you have some awesome week plans, I'm happy that you and YH could take some time away a bit. Enjoy yourselves!

ChloandCoco What's the genre of that book, I've never heard of it. So jealous of dress shopping! I never really did that with anyone since our wedding was so small, but it always looked like fun!

    Secretstapler yay vacation! Any plans?

dreamscapes_ MH got some pasta made with lentil flour the other day. It was ok. They were a bit grainer than regular pasta but the flavor was pretty neutral (I hate lentils, so this was a good way to sneak them in to our meal).

diaphena how long are your friends in town for? Have a great time!

JNCPro3130 FX that he (and you) like the new daycare. I remember you being so sad that he had to leave his previous one. :(

KFrob Hopefully the parties end up being fun and not too draining. That's the worst when you just want to lay down and relax and you have to be active!

What are you looking forward to this week?
Dinner reservations on Saturday to one of my favorite restaurants, but that's so far away! Yesterday we went to a sushi place that MH had been wanting to try (I love sushi but didn't really care for this place, but he paid so I'm not gonna complain!).

    What are you dreading?
    I don't think anything!

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week?
Keep up with running! And finish my book, which I think is always on my list but rarely gets done (but I did read 3 chapters yesterday!). The best way to finish a book is to read it on vacation at an All Inclusive Mexican resort (since there's nothing to do but lay down and read while servers bring me frozen beverages). So clearly that needs to happen. Obviously.

    Random thoughts?

GTKY: What's your organizational style? Does everything have a place? Slightly chaotic, but you know where everything is? No organization, just kinda wing it? I'm organized in my own way. MH is super dooper organized. He once explained his organizational style as "I want to be able to find everything in the dark."

  • @JennyColada It's fantasy, my cousin described it as Harry Potter, but grittier. So, I'm hoping it's good.
  • @JNCPro3130 - SNAKES?!?! Oh no!! I hope they have good news for you...
  • @JNCPro3130 Hope you are enjoying your last week before school starts up again.  Snake skins are so creepy! I dunno why but they have always freaked me out. Maybe the snake just showed up to shed his skin and then left...?!? Or at least we can hope so anyway haha

@glitzandglitter The dentist is definitely dread-worthy. Hope your appointment went okay today!

@KFrob What is it with tupperware cabinets??  The rest of my kitchen is quite nicely organized but that one tupperware drawer looks like something blew up in it

@JennyColada They'll be here through this Thursday! :)  I am a fan of your DH's organizing philosophy. He's prepared for anything haha.

  • @JNCPro3130 the summer seems shorter and shorter every year when you're a teacher! Last summer it was a lot longer for me since I had maternity leave at the end of the year, and then I went back as a sub and didn't have to do all the training and prep. Yikes on the snakes.

@JennyColada you are so right! I'm able to read so much on vacation. When we were on a 12 day cruise I think I read 7+ books. Good thing I had a kindle!

  • @lalala2004 - Yes! Shorter every year  :'(
    @JNCPro3130 - Snake update?

I survived the dentist! But I am soooooo glad I don't have to go back for 6 more months.
  • @glitzandglitter, I hate going to the dentist. I really need to go more often but I'm a chicken. I'm glad you survived!!

@lalala2004, YES! It's shorter every year! DS is a March baby, so the year he was born was great because I basically got a 4 month maternity leave! It was great!

@jennycolada, yay for dinner out! That's definitely something to look forward to!!

@kfrob, yay for extra time with your DD! I hope you have fun things planned!

@diaphena, I hope you're having fun with your friends this week! Catching up with old friends is the best!

Well, this week has been crazy... it's only Tuesday?! Yesterday the snake guys came out. The first guy looked at the skin and called to the other guy, "Wow! Come look at the size of this snake!" NOT what you want the "experts" saying. The other guy came down to the basement, looked at the skins, and determined that there are 2 down there. TWO?! As if I weren't freaked out enough. Because they're apparently living in the insulation, they set out some traps and will be back bi-weekly to see if they get them. They said they'd come out right away if we see one on the trap... I've not been back in my basement since Monday morning at 9:30. I have wedged a towel under the door leading to the basement so nothing slips up into my house. Ugh!

I also found out today that my grandmother, who broke her foot at my house last week, just found out that the other foot is also broken. They originally thought it was sprained but turns out it's broken too. I found out as I was scrolling through Facebook.  :(

  • @JNCPro3130 the snake story is totally freaking me out! Also I like that there are "snake guys" to deal with things like this. Not relieving that they were freaked out by the size of your snake. Hope the traps are full soon and they're outta there!

True. Once I was at the eye doctor and he said "I've never seen that before!" Not comforting. (I had some weird glitter gel make up in my eye).

@JNCPro3130 I'm sorry about your grandma, I hope she's alll healed up soon. And I hope the snakes stay away from the rest of the house!

  • @JNCPro3130 - Good luck with catching the snakes. Did they say anything about how the snakes got in the basement and how to prevent them from coming back?? Also, wishing your grandmother heals quickly, ouch!
  • @JNCPro3130 I'm sorry about your grandma and good luck with the snakes! "Wow" is something you never want the experts to say.
  • @JennyColada That's scary stuff! Luckily no one was hurt! But good luck with the interview!
@dreamscapes_ Sounds like a good doctor's appointment. When will you get the ultrasound done?

@dreamscaes_ Yay! I'm glad you are going to get to stay at your current work location. Sounds like our doctor appointment went well.  17lbs is awesome! When do you think you will get your ultrasound done?
  • @jennycolada, OH MY GOODNESS! That's really scary. As far as robberies go I'm glad it was low key but I'd still be freaked out! Good luck at your job interview! Please keep us posted! FX that you get this dream job!

@JNCPro3130 Honestly, I think the weight loss is mostly water weight. With wearing long pants and a shirt that doesn't breathe in high temps and high humidity, I sweat buckets at work. Plus all the walking around.
