What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
Tons of back pain. Thankfully the morning sickness only last about 2 weeks. Only gagging when brushing my teeth and some smells now, so plus! Only big difference so far is I'm huuuggggeeee!
How do you like to treat yo' self during pregnancy?
Beach days and a good book. Also, giving into some of my cravings. So far, they have been: BLT, spinach and artichoke dip, and lemonade.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
I feel so big. I'm having a hard time accepting body changes this time for some reason but hoping to start feeling more positive.
GTKY: What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
I can't stand when people are looking at their phones while hanging out in a social setting. I frequently wish that our technology was not as advanced.
Okay, I know I said I can't really remember a lot of details from being pregnant last time, but dang. I just discovered that the app has all the bump photos I added last time around, and I really don't recall being bigger than like 28 weeks. Like, week 38 looks truly fake.
@bainidhedub my timehop showed me my bump photo from two years ago today and I was wearing the same dress as I wore this week. I went ahead and looked at the rest of my pregnancy bump album on my phone, I remember I felt super hot and sexy at 30 weeks and then by 34 weeks I was over it. haha I hated being pregnant last time, I'm sure I will this time too but my kid is pretty cool so he was worth it that I did it on purpose this time. haha
I pulled DD's baby book out yesterday and found a pic of me at 20 weeks wearing the same shirt I wore yesterday at 14+5, and yesterday I filled it out more than I did at 20. Yikes
How many other children do you
have? One! Emily is almost 22 months.
How far along are you?
Team? 16 weeks and a day. Team BLUE, which
inexplicably (you have a 50/50 chance) still blows my mind.
What symptoms are you
having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? My main symptom now that the nausea is gone is
fatigue in the late afternoon/evening, which truly isn’t the worst thing since
it overrides my insomniac tendencies. I also get heartburn/acid reflux occasionally.
I had this the last time too but not this early. First trimester was worse this
time but overall I think now they are about the same!
How do you like to treat
yo' self during pregnancy? As
others said, I indulge in cravings. I actually can’t wait to start having MORE
cravings so I can give in. I also scheduled an elective “I just want to look at
baby!” ultrasound for Monday. Saving my $$$ massages for the third trimester.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What is one of your
biggest pet peeves? People who think
their pets are capable of affection/love/bonding but turn a blind eye to
slaughter house practices/farm animals etc.
@missblaze Totally with you on this one being harder (more in the first trimester for me but WOW)!
@jakobaby So with you on the cravings. So long as it isn’t
ridiculous, it is one of my favorite things about pregnancy.
@schaze We have a bad sleeper (see my comments, lol) on our
hands but transitioned at 17-18 months (in between) and it was AMAZING. We
actually skipped a toddler bed and went straight to a twin bed (it’s a trundle
bed but we don’t have the main bed set up until she is older, so it’s
ostensibly a floor bed). Unlike @missblaze ('s) experience ours was AMAZING. MUCH
better than she was doing before!
@maueraa07 Hugs. I know HG can be rough. Glad this one is
better so far for you!
13 weeks. Don't know yet, but we will be finding out!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
Not too bad, can pretty much ease the queasiness with food. Really moody. Pretty similar to first, but I think my food aversions are less intense.
Like others have said, I'm huge in the afternoon! Even though I've gained less weight than last time. (Win!)
How do you like to treat yo' self during pregnancy?
I guess just with food. Last time I would veg more with a movie.
I feel like I'm the only one who hated my prenatal massage. I can only do deep tissue massage, anything else just makes me feel like I'm being tickled and causes me to tense up.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
I'm out of town and missed my 12 week appt. It's been hard not to have that reassurance, since we announced to family this week.
GTKY: What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
Oh gosh, so many. Grammar, definitely.
@fishee333 - thinking of you, hope for positive developments

17 weeks tomorrow! AS is scheduled for August 3rd, and we're definitely finding out!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
Feeling pretty good overall. Just struggling with fatigue still. I feel like I need a nap every day! I was more nauseous during first tri with this pregnancy, but threw up more with DD, which seems a bit strange to me! Also, WAY more tired this time around.
How do you like to treat yo' self during pregnancy?
Like many others, I give into those cravings and I feel NO guilt.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
A rave. Just finished up an 8 day camping trip and DD was such a champ. Plus...can I just say, 18 months is my favorite age ever? I just want to freeze DD here forever.
GTKY: What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
Piggy-backing on what others have said. Grammar. I'm a teacher, so yeah...grammar!
