Hashaam Haider Khan, born at 12:18 pm Via emergency c-section on 7/14/17. 6 lbs and 19 inches.
My water broke just before going to bed on Thursday night and and an hour later had hints of meconium. Doc sent me to hospital to get monitored and I got induced as soon as possible. My baby didn't like pitocin(nor did I!) and so we went in for c-section. The experience was perfect and my recovery has been great. I had the best doctor on call this weekend. Feeling extremely blessed
Monday morning I was at 2cm/60%/-3. We did a membrane sweep and that night DH and I took a long walk. Tuesday at work I was a little crampy and by that evening started to have light contractions. Overnight they got stronger and were up to 1min long and 8ish min apart. Stayed home from work all day Wednesday, but they slowed down to a few times per hour, short and lighter again. Overnight Wednesday they picked up again like the night before so Thursday I worked from home, but sent DH to his work. Contractions stayed steady the whole day, picking up in strength around 9pm. Had DH rub my back and we headed to bed around 10:30pm with contractions about 1min long and 8min apart again. At 11:45pm I woke up to my water breaking. Took a quick shower while DH packed the car and headed to the hospital, getting in 12 contractions in the half hour drive. Admitted at 1:09am at 8cm. Lucked out getting one of only two nurses on the unit who moonlights as a doula AND had used my same birth prep (Hypnobabies) for her own baby. Labored for about 90min, reached down and announced I could feel her head, and barely had time to get onto the bed and get the doc in the room. Pushed thru 3 contractions and she was here! Some tearing, but otherwise perfect and we were both cleared to leave the hospital Saturday morning, less than 36hrs after I had arrived in triage!
Felicity Ava 7/17/17 @ 1:13am 7lb 4oz, 19.5in 38weeks+1day
I had a short labor (8 hrs from water breaking to delivery) but long difficult pushing. Forceps saved us from a c section but left a small cut on her eye and bruise on her earlobe. We never thought we would be lucky enough to give birth on such a lucky day!
Nolan Barry Born 7/17/17 @ 7:09am 7lbs 13oz 20.5 inches long 40 weeks+6 days
FTM & couldn't have asked for a better delivery. Labored at home for 6 hours & was only at the hospital 3 hours & 40 minutes when he was born. We got there & I was 5 cm dilated & 3 hrs later I was 9.5 cm. Only had to push for 39 minutes. I got to have the unmedicated birth I wanted. Husband was a rock in helping me through each contraction which was intense bc they started 10 mins apart & got stronger & closer very quickly. Brought out little man home today!
Meet Mia!!! Weighing in at 8lbs5oz 23" long! Got the epidural when they broke my water around noon, the only thing it did was give me horrible post partum back pain-should have just gone without it again! Pushed 4 times and she was born at 7:00pm on the dot!! If she has taught us anything it's how truly boundless love is!!!
Hello from Mack! He was born at midnight 7/19/17. 7lbs 13oz | 20in I was 40+1 at birth but went in for blood pressure monitoring on Tuesday (due date). The midwife decided to induce me since I was already at 40 weeks. He arrived much quicker than anyone could imagine and didn't give me time to get an epidural.
Aanya Irene Born 7/16/17 at 12:11am Weighing 8lbs 5oz
Went for induction at 41+3, went into immediate back labour. Water broke at 3pm and back to the hospital by 4pm. Screaming for epidural by 6pm haha! I had a few regular contractions and they weren't anything compared to the intense back labour I had. Dude was in surgery so I had to wait until 7:30pm for it! Started pushing around 9:45pm and pushed for 2 hours then they decided she needed to come out pronto. So they ended up using the vacuum and I ended up with an episiotomy but just like they say, once LO is here all is forgotten ❤️ We are so in love and DH is absolutely smitten with her! Everything didn't go the way I wanted but my "plan" was to not have a plan. It is what it is, she's here and that's ALL that matters (Pic where she wasn't all funny looking from the vacuum haha!)
Quinn Thomas was born this morning, 7/20 (39 + 1) at 5:04am weighing 6 lbs 10 ozs and measuring 20 inches. My water broke last night around 10pm....just as I was getting on a work call with some people in Japan. I took the call as DH packed and then we headed to the hospital. Contractions started around 2am and I got the epidural not long after and managed a 2 hr nap. By 430am I was 5cm. The nurse suggested I change sides to get things going and bam I started feeling everything. 15 min and three pushes later baby Quinn was born. So fast!!
No tearing or much swelling but plenty of bleeding and damn the uterus contractions are slowly killing me. Feeling blessed! His older brothers are totally in love.
Sadie Marie Cadden born July 20th 2017!! Only took 40hrs in the hospital but well worth it in the end she is 7lbs 3oz and 20 incheslong I feel blessed!!
I am quite late, but please allow me to introduce Miss Delaney Rees, born 7/15/17 at 9:27 PM, 7 lbs, 12 oz, and 20 3/4 inches long. I was 38w 2d. Is it okay if I share a lengthy birth story? I mainly just want to have it written down while it is fresh in my mind. Please feel free to skip over.
I went to a car show with my husband the day before, and started having measurable and timeable back pain while walking around 6 PM. I did not get much sleep that night, but I thought it was just BH or something. My husband finally convinced me to go to the hospital about 5 in the morning, just to have it checked out. I told him that they would just send me home, but agreed to go anyway, mainly just to see if it was 'real' or not. Got to the hospital and I was almost 2 cm, not enough to say one way or another. They kept me for 2 hours, checked again, and I had no progress. I was sent home with an Ambien and told to call when it wore off if I was still having contractions. Went home and slept for a half hour and the medicine was completely gone; I was wide awake and still having contractions.
Arrived back at the hospital around 1:30 and was admitted at 3 cm. Because I was only 38 weeks, they said that they would not do anything to stop labor, but the were not going to do anything to help it along, either. I was GBS+, so I was given antibiotics and had to have labs drawn before I could get an epidural. My water broke just like in the movies at 3:00. Finally around 5:00, I got the epidural. I won't go into the details, but it was quite possibly the worst experience of my life. Checked again, and I was 6 cm. Once the medicine took effect, I was able to doze off for a bit. Around 7:30, I was 9 cm, and by 8:00 I was ready to go. As it was the weekend, my doctor was not on call, but another one from her practice was (FFC: I liked her better, anyway), so she was called in. Started pushing at 8:45, and Delaney was born at 9:27 after 45 minutes of pushing. I was a little irritated, retroactively, because the doctor asked at some point if I was having back pain. I told her that that was all I had been having all day: contractions in my lower back, but nothing in the front. That had not been conveyed to her. She reached in and discovered that the baby was indeed sunny side up and was able to turn her. After that, she slid right out. I had a 2nd degree tear, but I have been dealing with it surprisingly well. I haven't had to take ibuprofen since Monday night at the hospital. The whole thing took about 27 hours from the onset of symptoms, but only about 9 from the start of active labor. Much faster than I expected as a ftm.
We are home now, and everything has been going great. She has already gained 5 oz since leaving the hospital, so she is right in the middle of her birth and her discharge weights. We are so very lucky and in awe of this little miracle we can call our own.
Charlie Joseph came Earth side at 4.21am on 7/17/17; weighing in 7lbs 15.6oz and 21 inches long.
I went in to labor around 3am on Sunday 7/16, got to the hospital around 9 and contractions were 4 minutes apart and I was at 2cm/80%. After being admitted, we walked for a few hours and at 1pm, I was at 3cm, so they broke my water, started Pitocin and I got my epidural. I progressed to 7cm in a few hours and then stalled. They restarted the Pitocin and placed and inter-uterine contraction monitor and were preparing for a c section if I didn't progress in the next 2 hours. Around midnight I was at 8/9 and at 2am was full 9/stretchy 10. When the doctor checked me at 3:30, I was still at 9 and called for the c section.
Charlie was a trooper and handled 24 hours of labor like a champ; as for me, if the doctor would have let me, I would have kept going but there just was no way. We are overjoyed he is here, happy and healthy!
I'm a bit late, but introducing Jack Soren born 7/15/17 at 3:23pm weighing in at 9lbs 9oz and 22.8" long.
He was a stubborn boy and I had to be induced at 41 weeks. Labored with pitocin for 16 hours before I stopped progressing and he was showing distresd. At that point we decided a c section would be best.
Wilhemina Rose was born at 4:30am on 7/22. 7lb10oz and 20.5 inches.
Birth story, feel free to ignore! I called my midwife just after midnight because I couldn't remember the last time I felt her move, and none of the normal tricks worked (ice water, sitting still, watermelon). She didn't seem concerned but sent me to the hospital for an NST and said I'd probably feel her after seeing her heart rate. The heart rate wasn't reassuring--it was a flat line instead of variable, and slowed after some of the contractions I didn't realize I was having. Then around 2am my water broke and was full of blood. It was seriously like a crime scene. The midwife arrived shortly thereafter and agreed with the ob on call that a c-section was the best option due to potential placenta abruption. The midwife practice I was with has a 5% c/s rate so I knew it was serious if that was her recommendation! They started prepping me right away, and she was born at 4:30 am via regular (nonemergency) c/s. They guessed after looking at the placenta that ~25% had abrupted. Plan A was a natural hypnobabies water birth, but the main goal was a safe delivery, so I'm happy with the way things went!
A bit late but team green turned team blue. Abraham Karl was born 7/19 weighing 8 pounds exactly and 21 inches long. Had a bit of a scare at first with his breathing (too high of respiratins) but everything is great now!

Willow Catherine was born 7/24 1:33pm. 7lbs 20in. She is healthy and doing great.
I ended up with an unplanned unmedicated birth. Contractions started around 6am at 5minutes apart, but I didn't think it was real due to several days of Braxton-Hicks. I text DS to come home around 10:00am. We were waiting for child care to arrive around 12:00pm when I decided that we needed to go ahead and go to the hospital and have them meet us there. They checked me right away and found that it was go time. Willow was delivered an hour after we arrived, before I was even technically admitted.
When they said that baby would be born before I could get an epidural, I freaked out. DS says that I was hysterical for about five minutes during pushing. It was so overwhelming and scary to not have time to mentally prepare for that change, but, in the end, was not as bad as I had feared. I am thankful for such a short amount of the pushing.
Sorry for the rambling. I am still in shock a little and trying to process it all.
Lia was born just a few hours ago, 5 days late and after several days of irregular contractions. They never turned into a pattern so I judged by the volume of my screaming and when the hospital finally admitted me I was 5cm. I got the epidural which I originally planned to try without (as I have with DD1), but I needed it and it helped.

Born today(7-26-17) at 1:19pm via RCS weighing 6lbs 4.4oz and 19 1/2 in long. He is a content little guy who loves to eat. Can't believe my gestational diabetes baby is my smallest baby by far. His sugar levels were fine and no complications came of my diagnosis.
I will have a tougher recovery as there was alot of scar tissue from my last apparently and my dr also repaired my diastasis recti while he was in there(he joked I got a mini tummy tuck but made sure I knew it wasnt really that lol) after my tubal.
Can't wait to see what his brothers think of him tomorrow
Team Green turned BLUE Pur sweet boy was born July 27 at 321am. 9lb 6oz 21.25" long. My water broke at home on the night of the 25th at 41 weeks. We headed in around 2am and because I hadn't gone into labour own my own they let me sleep the night. I started contracting around 9 but they were mild and far apart. They started a pit drip around 10am and they quickly picked up. I was trying for a vbac so was on constant monitoring. I made it to 2cm with the help of a stretch and sweep by 1pm and the nurse noticed a lot of scar tissue on my cervix from a LEEP procedure I had done 8 years ago. They ramped up the pit and recommended an epidural around 6pm as I still hadn't progressed. The epidural was sweet relief! I hit the 24 hour window of my water breaking at 1130pm but baby was looking good and so was I so they let me keep going. By 2am my contractions were spacing out and becoming weaker even with the increased dose of pitocin and thanks to my scarred up cervix I was still sitting at 2cm. With no change, so far to go and getting so far out of the 24 hour window we opted for an rcs. It went perfect. Hubby got to announce the sex and cut the cord and they stayed in the OR with me for most of the time. It wasn't the story we were hoping for but it was perfect and we are so happy to be home with our 2 beautiful boys.

Noah Jacob arrived on July 22nd at 2:39am! He weighed 7lbs 7.5oz and was 19" long. I was 39w5d. We had another beautiful home water birth that was fast and furious like his big sisters - 3 hours from my first contraction to holding my little babe in my arms! We are both doing great and his big sister (and us!) are so so so in love with him ❤!
Introducing Zander Cayde! He arrived on August 3rd at 11:46pm. 8lbs 8oz and 19.5 inches long. I was 40+6.
Had an interesting labor. My water broke at 2:10 am on the 3rd. Called L&D and was told go to the hospital by 4am. DH and i went and were waiting in triage. Was checked at my bag had definitely ruptured and I was at 2 cm dilated. Was finally admitted into L&D at 10am, the hospital was slammed. Contractions were progressing but my cervix was not; and they wouldn't check me regularly due to my bag being broken already. I then started developing a fever and would tremble. At 2pm I was at 4cm and asked for the epidural. And started pitocin to speed things up. At 5pm I was not really showing much more progression so I was also given an interuterine contraction thing to measure the strength of my contractions, found out they were not strong at all. Pitocin was increased regularly. Finally at 10pm I started feeling pressure and the contractions were becoming more frequent and strong. I was given antibiotics to make my fever come down. 11:15 I began to push. 31 mins later and he arrived!
Our little rainbow baby boy Caleb made his arrival on august 4th, which is also my birthday! I went in for an induction on the 3rd at 8am and he arrived at 1:23 pm on the 4th! We couldn't be happier and be more in love with this little boy and he has brought so much love into our house and our marriage in such a short time. He was 8lbs and 20 in long
I'm super late on this, little man is now 2.5 weeks old, but I just started feeling like I have the time to post again so I thought I'd add to the announcements!
Elliot William arrived on July 28 (40+4) at 12:20pm weighing 8lbs 11oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.
Labor was long. I woke up at 2am on Thursday with contractions and labored at home until 11pm. Was 5cm at the hospital, got an epidural a few hours later at 7cm. They broke my water at some point, it's all a blur by now. Elliot took his time descending his head and I was taken off the epidural and given some pitocin around 11am. Never felt the sensation to push the way it was explained to me but I felt his head coming out, called the nurse and she checked and told me I was right and not to push. He was born after about 90 seconds of pushing later!
Since it's been a while since his birth, I'm including his first official picture as well as my favorite we've taken of him at home so far (he looks so skeptical of us, and he's probably right to be, first time parents have no idea what we're doing!)
Shiloh James was born on August 12th, at 12:28am at 6lb 15 oz, 20inches long. I went in for an induction on Friday morning at 42+1 and labored all day and night. Contractions started to really to pick up when I was 4cm and not even an hour later my body was instinctually pushing. Called the doctor back in and after 30 minutes of pushing he was out.
*Potential trigger* He's home and healthy now but we had a bit of a scare at first. He came out completely limp and pale with a very weak and throaty cry. I was allowed to hold him for maybe 2 seconds before the NICU nurse rushed him to NICU, not even waiting for the doctor to arrive. He was given antibiotics for a potential infection, an IV and a CPAP, by the time we got to see him (4am) he was almost fully recovered. They slowly reduced the oxygen he was getting and by the next day he was off of CPAP and ready to breast feed. Stayed in NICU for 3 days and we got to go home together. They say he went into distress toward the end of labor and had reduced oxygen and as a result, had trouble transitioning. *end trigger*
So we were all really surprised at how small he was considering his gestational age and how my family has a history of giant babies (all 10lbers). Went for his first doctor's appointment today and the doctor said his gestational age was way off and without a doubt he's only 38 weeks not 42! I must have ovulated really late I guess and he measured big for his gestational age so passed as an older baby. The stress of the induction and the NICU visit probably could have all been avoided! Happy that he's home and healthy
I'm so late ! Julien was born on July 6, 2017 ! Labored much faster than my first and he was out in just a few pushes. Mommy, daddy and big sister are thrilled ❤️! He was 7.9 at birth and he is almost 12 pounds now ☺️

Our Angel: EDD: 05/11/17. MC at 6 weeks
Baby #2- EDD: 07/18/17
He was 8lbs and 20 in long
Labor was long.
*Potential trigger*
He's home and healthy now but we had a bit of a scare at first.
