  • Oh I need this thread.  Always looking for meal ideas.  It'd be kinda fun to do a new theme each week. ie "Share your favorite crockpot/instant pot recipe" "15 or 30 minutes meals" "Grilling" etc.

What's your plan this week for meals? Any favorites?
This week I want to try these: Grilled Zucchini with Lemon, Garlic and Parmesan maybe with pork tenderloin or grilled chicken.  Also doing broiled tilapia parmesan (happy to share recipe if anybody is interested) and probably spaghetti with turkey meat sauce.

One of our favorites is Spicy Sausage Pasta. To make it a bit healthier I do turkey smoked sausage, whole milk instead of cream (or half and half), and low- or no- sodium broth (like the author suggests).

What is your go-to snack that will help you bridge the gap between meals and ease any MS issues?
MS hasn't hit yet, but saltines and hard candy helped me last time around.  I also discovered that the "low sodium" saltines are terrible.

  • @LiveNLove44  Mini-golfing, and then surprise location for dinner. DH won't tell me where...we haven't had a date night since before DS was born 9 months ago, so I'm glad we're finally getting out.

  • Tonight we are having pizza because neither DH or me feel like cooking
tuesday: Chicken and shrimp on the grill with asparagus and rice
wednesday: Crock pot pepperoncini roast with mashed potatoes
Thursday: Country ribs with potato salad
Friday: turkey meatloaf and mac & cheese.

My my favorite snack is the nature valley granola bars and root beer. Trying to slack off the root beer, I think it's the cause of most of my bloat.

  • @rsquaredr what are walking tacos?
  • @rsquaredr what are walking tacos?
Really?! The name comes from using a single serving bag of Doritos and dumping taco meat and toppings in it!
  • Haha YES! @mamaloba816 you are not alone with that question! I didn't know what walking tacos were until I started coaching and some players' moms brought them walking tacos before match nights. Too funny! Good, quick dish!

  • Hi everyone, I'm new to this thread, but @GG620, I just wanted to say that I love your trimester by trimester meal plan. When I was pregnant with my son, I bought the book 100 healthiest foods to eat during pregnancy. It lists healthy foods by trimester. I would flip through it to try and add some diversity to my meal planning!
