Unexplained Secondary Infertility (x2). Current pregnancy resulted from my 3rd medicated IUI.
Upcoming testing/appointments:
First ultrasound today at 1 pm. Nervous is an understatement.
Rants/raves/questions:
I feel like I need to comment on all.the.threads before my appointment today because I'm going to find out it's bad news and I will have to leave the board.
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!)
I don't have pics on the computer I'm on but I have an 8 year old Russian Blue cat (total snuggler) and a 1 year old dark brindle French Bulldog (all he does is nap....).

Upcoming testing/appointments: u/s 7/26
Rants/raves/questions: I have an u/s on 7/26 with the RE. If that goes well I'm supposed to have another one 2 weeks later before graduating to my OB, BUT I talked to a nurse from my OB practice yesterday and she said they didn't want to wait until after 9 weeks to get me in so they scheduled me for an u/s on 8/2 at 8 weeks. They actually had a spot when I could have gone in the 7 week range but we agreed doing 2 the same week felt unnecessary. Is this weird, or unneeded? Keeping in mind that I'm 100% OOP with my RE, I'm not sure if I should forgo 1 or both of the RE's u/s. Do they do anything there that an OB wouldn't do? This is my first so I am confused on the process and interested to see if any of you have thoughts on whether this seems unnecessary and I should save the money and cancel one or both of these u/s with the RE.
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!) I selfishly made this GTKY to see your fur babies. We live in a no pet rental and also MH is 2 years deep in a 4 year allergy shot program (I had to give my cat to my mom when we got engaged, it was super sad). Show me your furry ones!
@vflux33 ob and RE ultrasounds are the same so if you wanted to forgo the second RE ultrasound you would be fine.
Diagnosis:
PCOS
Upcoming testing/appointments:
Just had my ultrasound yesterday. I have another one in 2 weeks
Rants/raves/questions:
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!)
Yes! I have a German shepherd and a golden retriever
@heatherdubrow Thanks for your input!
upcoming testing/appointments: first ultrasound tomorrow at 8:30am
rants/raves/questions: I was allergic to all PIO (sesame, olive oil, ethyl oleate, cotton seed) so I take progesterone pills three times a day and suppositories twice a day. They say they can't measure my progesterone level through my blood and it has me freaking out that it's too low!
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!) I don't! We are getting a Newfoundland puppy in January though!!!!!
Tests- 2nd u/s next week. Had one yesterday at 6w2d and everything looks ok. Dr wants me to come back just to make sure everything is progressing.
Rants- um...not atm.
Furbabies- 1 dog and 1cat.
Upcoming testing/appointments: 3rd Beta and progesterone check on Monday
Rants/raves/questions: I am happy. Just so happy to be KU'd. If anything through the day gets me annoyed or down, I just remember that today I am pregnant and pretty much nothing can get me down
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!) YESSS! I am totally an obsessed pawrent. Here is my 4 yr old border collie / black lab / pibble (we think) mutt. She is the best behaved, most loving dog ever ha.

@vflux33 I selfishly would want all of the testing / ultrasounds I could, but I am covered by insurance for all diagnostic testing. If everything has been looking great, and you pay a ton for each RE visit, I might forego one of them. But of course that is a personal decision based on comfort, finances, etc. Good luck!!
@heatherdubrow So happy your first u/s was great news!
@ivfgotthistwice how did you u/s go today??
@brettanomyces so glad your u/s went well!

@GG620 Awww so cute! Yeah I was thinking of forgoing the last one if everything looks OK at the first one and the OB one, but I guess MH thinks we should keep the extra one and just pay and that it will be worth it for the paranoia.
ps. Your fur baby is so cute! I love this GTKY

Umpcoming tests/appointments: 1st beta on 7/11 (987), second beta on 7/13 (1879). I go back for my last beta this coming Wednesday.
Rant: I used PIO in my first pregnancy with my daughter just fine but this round with both this pregnancy and the last pregnancy (MC at 8w) my body has suddenly decided to become allergic to it. I've developed a horrible rash under my arms, inner thighs and bikini line that itches so badly!! My RE just switched me to Crinone gel in hopes that works. But now I have to deal with this goopy crap leaking out of me...

Diagnosis:
PCOS
Upcoming testing/appointments:
I have my repeat ultrasound to see if this pregnancy is viable. If it is we should be able to see/hear a heartbeat.
Rants/raves/questions:
Just a ball of nerves waiting for my appointment tomorrow.
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!)
We have 2 cats
Dx: PCOS
DS1 born 11/2014
DS2 born 11/2018
3 previous losses
Rainbow baby due 12/2021 - Team Green
Im probably going with a midwife this time though, which is a self referral. I did that right away also because midwives get booked up quickly.
NIR PCOS
Upcoming testing/appointments:
First beta is this Saturday at 8 am.
Rants/raves/questions:
Ahhhhhh I'm still just peeing on tons of sticks and having fun watching the lines get slightly darker. And all I want to do is buy thingsssss.
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!)

Upcoming testing/appointments: First ultrasound tomorrow!!! Ready to find out if there's 1 or 2 in there!
Rants/raves/questions: I've been laying low (which caused me to be MIA for a few days) due to some brown spotting last weekend. Everything is back to normal and MS is in FULLLL swing. I struggle so hard with being happy that I'm pregnant and trying not to complain. I've felt like poo for the past 3 days but every time I find myself ready to complain, I end up stopping myself since I feel like I've waited so long for this.
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!) Heck yes! Two rescue pups (one we got a year ago today!!). Tex(brown) and Maggie (white) - they have a love/hate relationship.
male retrograde ejaculation
Upcoming tests/appointments:
My final beta yesterday was 15,000 so I have to call today to schedule my first ultrasound, hooray!
Rants/Raves/Questions:
I'm so frustrated with my body because it's so different this time around compared to getting pg with my daughter. After having a reaction to multiple PIO injections, my RE put me on Crinone and now I've got a yeast infection from it! Lucky me I get to deal with more goop in my vag now (Monistat)
@CutieGirlLissie Great news about your beta, but that sucks about the yeast infection.
@antoto I saw some debate on a prior BMB about the accuracy of that (like if someone has a MMC what week is that counted for etc.) but I find it comforting too. In fact, MH who is super nerdy and into excel, plotted it and I just tried to upload the file, but my computer is being an asshole. I'll keep trying though!
@vflux33 Yeah I'm not sure how clear that sort of thing is or even what the source of this is. I just like looking at it and feeling better lol.
Upcoming testing/appointments: First US 7/25!
Rants/raves/questions: Sorry guys, I haven't been active in this thread (I feel like I'm having a hard time getting into pregnancy-related threads because I'm still in the "yeah, right" phase) and I'm basically popping in to DD because I have a meeting in a minute. **TW throughout** because some of this is all tied in with PGAL, too. I've been having a really hard time with that part and have half decided that the US isn't going to go well and have made plans for what I'll need to do like canceling my haircut with the heavily pregnant lady and making sure that I get things done at work so they're covered when I'm out for a few days.
H's BFF lives overseas and is home for a visit. We went over to see them last night along with his parents. His stepdad is probably well-intentioned but he needs to BTFO of when we're having kids. Literally every time we see them, he brings up the state of my uterus at least five times. And I mean literally literally. It's excruciating. I specifically turned down an invitation to dinner with them in May because I couldn't do it. Last night it included something about, "What's wrong with you?" to which I almost replied that nobody freaking knows. Instead I just did the usual grin and bear it and just try to laugh it off.
Then today, pretty much as soon as I walked in, a coworker finished with an online meeting with a group at the main office and told me, "Oh, *Name* announced in today's meeting (and I could feel it coming) that she's pregnant!" I have no idea why it still hit me as hard as it did but I'm still in a funk about it. And I feel stupid because I feel like since I'm currently technically pregnant I don't really have a right to those feelings but I do still have them. I don't think it helps that she's due in January, which would be when when I would be due if I hadn't had the May MC.
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!) We have one three-year-old Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog/Lab. His middle name is Mayhem.
Married: June 2011

I think it is normal for you to feel the way you do about the pregnancy announcements and you do have every right to feel that way. We have had to go through so much to get here and it is still hard to hear when other people are at the point where you would like to be. *hugs* hopefully your u/s on Tuesday gives you some awesome news and peace of mind

And I'm so sorry that guy is being so gross! Ugh that would drive me bananas.
Upcoming testing/appointments: I have had 3 betas since finding out I am spontaneously pregnant from preop testing last week for a hysteroscopy. First beta was 103, second was 204 and third was 605. Progesterone and estrogen have been great. I go in tomorrow for a placement US at 5w2d.
Rants/raves/questions: I am BEYOND nervous. I never thought that we would concieve naturally and were beginning to seriously consider DE. I just can't get rid of that nagging feeling that this "wasn't supposed to happen" so something will go wrong. I'm so frustrated that I've spent the last 14 month stressed and worried about becoming pregnant and now I am stressed and worried about staying pregnant. It just doesn't feel like it ends.
GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? (Pics encouraged!) - We have a 4 and a half year old shiatsu/bichon mix that is the love of our lives!
@kiki75
I agree with @antoto that PAIF doesn't really capture it that well. We need something less passive that also acknowledges certain feelings and memories and medical facts won't just go away. I sorta like P in spite of IF, but it doesn't translate into a usable acronym.
