Let's make this a thread for birthday announcements. Let's avoid commenting and just post the announcements so we can have pics of all these cute lil babies!
His special day: My little May baby turned June woke up at 7:15am to run to daycare. He got Happy Birthday sung to him and his infant class shrieked along. Since he's one today, he qualifies for a plate of food for lunch. They were serving pizza from Domino's since it's the "last day of the semester." Out of all the babies, he ate half a slice! Whoop! It is also his last day at daycare for the summer and it's early release (12 noon). So he's come to school with me so I can clean out my classroom while he naps in the stroller! We had a luncheon today at work and he was passed around like a hot potato and played with while I ate. Currently being jolted by the PA coming on with announcements and the bells which haven't been turned off. LOL. School is out for summer so us teachers are just working. Later today we'll all go out to eat and celebrate. Tomorrow we'll have grilled burgers at the house.
Tristan turned 1 on Monday!! He came down with an ear infection the Friday before and was still a little down on Saturday for his first party. He has his 1 year appointment tomorrow so I will update stats after that. We seemed to celebrate his birthday the whole weekend...whew! I was tired. Saturday we had a small party, about 12 people total, at our house. I went with a nautical theme. The theme really only extended to the called...lol. I am a lazy slacker! Sunday we packed up the show and took it two hours north to celebrate with my husband's family. That was about 25 people. Then I picked up some mini cupcakes for daycare on Monday.
Charlotte turned 1 today. She was born at 6:49am so DH and I sang to her at that time this morning and she just kept looking back and forth between us. For the first time in 12 months I actually took her monthly picture on the actual day! Figured it was my last chance to get it right. When we got to daycare they had a crown waiting with her name on it and all the teachers sang. Her party isn't until next weekend. It'll be Charlotte's Web/county fair theme and we have about 60 (eek!) people coming.
Madelyn turned one yesterday. DS's birthday is 6/18 so we're doing a combination birthday party next weekend and we'll give her a cupcake and sing then.
Erin turned 1 this Monday and we just did a cupcake to celebrate but now she can get big kid food at daycare (she was grabbing food already from the 1 year olds for about a month on top of the meals I bring)
Erin was born June 5th, 2016 8pm
Due date: May 27, 2016
Weight/length at birth: 8lbs, 11 ounces/ 21 1/4 inches long
More accurate weight/length tomorrow at her 1yo appt but last month she weighed 25lbs.
Well my photos are out of order, silly bump! Cameron woke himself up just before midnight last night, I guess he wanted to ring in his birthday right. The girls and I baked a cake this morning that we will take to my parents in a bit then we will be headed off camping this afternoon.

Miles turned one today! We held his party yesterday with photos the day before. Three days of cake in a row. Yikes. DH & I took off work to take Miles to the zoo and just focus on him today. Now hopefully he falls asleep before his actual birth time hits.

We celebrated her birthday with friends and family. We had a Minnie Mouse themed party at our house the day after her birthday on Saturday. On her actually birthday my husband and I and family celebrated a little too and gave her a few presents but I think she was more into the wrapping paper lol
Ethan turned 1 today! Here he is enjoying some "healthy" cake my mom made (aka sugar free and gluten free lol). He also had his first taste of an ice cream cone. His face

Love his facial expression! So funny and so cute!!
So Damien's birthday was terrible. The whole day was dominated by what everyone else felt needed to be done. We didn't even get to cut the cake so that Damien could have a piece. I captured exactly 0 special moments because there weren't any that happened outside of the douple of hours I had him all to myself early this morning and when I put him to bed.
The plan was heavy appetizers at 5ish, cake, then bedtime for Damien. Well last night I was informed that I was going to have to cook dinner for the party as well (10 people). I picked a quick and easy pasta dish that I could make in 20min. Damien ate at 6pm and I kept saying we needed to do the cake BUT my Mom insisted we wait until after dinner (which she made me wait to start making...i wanted to do it at 5:30 so it would be ready by 6 and we would eat with Damien). THEN she insisted I delay finishing the dish (let it simmer longer) because she had to put together the salad. This salad was a simple garden salad, could have been done in minutes...took her 30mins. THEN I had to wait for the bread to go in the oven...which wasn't even preheated because well hell if I know. By the time everything was done, it was 7:30 and Damien was beyond cranky and tired. I said we really needed to just do the cake because he wasn't going to make it much longer and I was waved off. I should have just cut the damn cake looking back at the situanow but I didn't. So Damien got put to bed without having his bday cake moment...the one moment I really wanted for the day.
Then there was the insident of 7 adults all standing around outside while Damien was on the grass near the cement step. I saw from the kitchen and immediately knew he was foing to hit his head on it. Seconds later he did, why? Because no one was watching him. I was so frustrated...Too busy chatting amongst themselces and that inckudes my husband. He hardly got to play with his new toys because he was just so tired by the time they were opened as well.
I'm just utterly disappointed and I know I should have just put my foot down. I'm so frustrated with myself because I didn't. His 1st bday and it went so badly. I'll never get this day back. I don't even have a picture with the three of us together. I'm trying to focus on the positives of the day and I know I'll get over it eventually but right now, it sucks. We're thinking of doing a "do over" bday of just us three next weekend.
Sorry this should be in the venting thread. This day was supposed to be simple and fun. I feel like I missed out on a special day.

I'm sorry you had a horrible time! Upside is at least Damien didn't realize it was a "bad birthday" yet. I think your idea of doing a redo by yourself next weekend is a great one.
@vintagevix2016 so sorry to hear that Damien's birthday was such a bust! People suck!! As @Tawny87 said, at least he didn't realize his birthday was ruined. You will have a beautiful redo and be able to capture all those wonderful moments. Hang in there!

I'm so sorry that his birthday wasn't what you wanted. How disappointing!
Since Damien won't realize, could you and your husband do another Birthday for him with just you three?
@laurenm2123 Yup, we're doing a "re-do" with just the three of us this weekend. I'll pick up a little cake, keep the current bday decorations up (even though my flowers in the centerpieces will be dead by then, the centerpieces will still look cool without flowers), and we'll go out for lunch. If it's nice, we'll play outside (either way, we'll make sure he has lots of playtime). Maybe take him swimming. It'll be a fun day though, I'm looking forward to it.
LO turned 1 yesterday, I can't believe it! I feel like this is her bday week, we are having a combined party for her and me this Sat (my bday is next week and my age will end in a zero, yikes). But on Fathers Day we went to my parents and they had a cake for her and my niece, which was really cute.
Last night I got her a big cupcake and we went to the choir party for church (DH sings). The whole party sang to her and they had a live musician with a guitar which was great. LO must have Daddy's love for music because we stayed out so late (took a long time for the food to come out) and she was loving the party.
Of course it could have been all that sugar from her first cupcake that powered her through the evening ; )
Nadia is 1!!! I have no idea where the last year has gone. she is cruising, climbing, standing, and saying mama, that, more, and ball. Still only 8 teeth, but there are a few more ready to come in. She is a tiny little thing compared to my other kids at this age.
Today we we went to the park, did bubbles in the yard, and let her eat cake. Not impressive, but I think she was happy with it. Her siblings decorated the cake, and she was so excited to see it with the candle. It was super cute
Our little monster, Briar Finlea turned one on 6/17! We had a small gathering at our new house to "kiss the birthday girl/open house" we have a big party planned for this Saturday. A picnic at the library. Can't wait! We have encouraged all our guests to wear red, black or white as we have a photographer to capture all the great moments!
Lily has officially joined the birthday club. She turned 1 yesterday. Birth 6/21/16 9lbs 20.5 inches age 1 21 lbs 14 oz 30.5 inches. Our long lean sweet girl.

Lily had a wonderful party yesterday. We had 45 people and she enjoyed all the fun activities. We chose to do chocolate pudding because she doesn't like cake and it was a huge hit. We did reading theme and her onesie said "my dad reads to me".
Savannah turned 1 on Friday! We had a great little party for her at my moms andeverything went well. She absolutely loves the play kitchen we got her! The old fashioned dress my mom made for my sister on her first birthday so now my sister, me, my niece and Savannah have all worn it
We did our "re-do" bday for Damien this weekend. Super lowkey, lots of playtime and naps, beautiful weather, etc. Good times! We bought a $10 mini-cake from the grocery store and they wrote "Happy Birthday" on it for us. Damien still wouldn't eat it, just like he wouldn't eat his original bday cake when he finally got a chance to have a piece. Guess he isn't a sweets person like his mama! He enjoyed playing with it tho and it actually tasted better than the expensive one we had made for his birthday party. Go figure.
I know I'm super late to this, but I really enjoyed seeing all the birthday parties! Everyone celebrated in such a special and I loved all the pictures. What happy babies! Sam's first birthday was amazing! Born June 3, 2016 9lbs 9oz/ 22 inches
