@Kathryn0903 baby is always pressing against my left side. My belly gets super lopsided all the time. It hurts sometimes too!
To to all of you who told me about the heartburn meds, THANK YOU!!! I bought them last week, and I haven't gotten up in the night, about to puke since! Its a real life saver!
I have either really stupid stupid allergies or a cold, but my head is always super congested. I'm so ready for this to go away!

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
So my blood pressure has been fine since I got here, but I'm still super swollen and have a terrible migraine. I have to wait here for another hour to see the midwife. Meanwhile both my sisters and their families have just arrived at my house from Denver and Houston. They're just waiting for me now.
If these damn Braxton Hicks contractions are going to start every time I do a few loads of laundry and sweep, I'm not going to make it another month. And these hurt, like take my breath away, make me feel like I'm going to vomit, can't function type of hurt.
@JDBtwinmama prayers everything turns out okay and you are released!
I just had my mom confirm this weekend that what I was feeling was BH and not just baby boy. I never had these with my first born so I had no idea what they felt like. I'm having a lot more of them today than usual.
I am getting more and more frustrated that I cannot use my abs (not that I had any to begin with) to get up from a chair, or the bed, and I really have to focus to get up and move. Ugh.
Thanks guys! I'm home, they told me I need to rest more. I am a teacher so I'm home on summer break. My husband does most everything but our twins are 20 months, I can't lay in bed all day. I guess I'll just keep trying to do nothing!
So after the cervical checks on Saturday night I was super sore when moving and when I would sit down. Yesterday afternoon I had more contractions and I'm feeling the same kind of soreness today. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?
@SouthernMama15 every time I've had a cervical check they warn me about soreness, spotting and cramping, they told me if it's more than spotting to call and if the cramping becomes painful call! Good luck!
@JDBtwinmama - glad you're doing better!! @SouthernMama15 - I'm super sore some days - more so when I've been stuck at my desk all day. I'll get up and swear that this kid had a finger or toe poking out of my cervix, it hurts and then the BH on top. I'll be asking a bit more about it at my appt on Thursday. They had told me to see if it was just when he was active - and sometimes it is but sometimes it isn't.

@JWatt5 I do find it worse when he's more active. I'll be seeing my regular doctor tomorrow, my last 2 appointments were with others and I didn't see a doctor at the hospital. I'm going in armed with a list of questions. I'm also having a growth ultrasound as he's been measuring big for a while now and DS was big. I think he's just putting pressure everywhere. It's a catch 22 because if I don't move much, my back and hips get sore, but if I move too much the contractions start. One month, I can make it.
Guys I am having the worst restless legs. It usually keeps me awake until 3am or so and then I manage to fall asleep. But last night I got zero hours of sleep. Zero! Thankfully I napped from 8:30a-10:30a but I know this can't be good for baby.
Does anyone have any restless legs tips, tricks, remedies, suggestions? I'm dying here. I've tried a pillow between my legs, warm bath before bed, and magnesium supplements (both oral and topical) and it's like those things only make it worse.
@mrsmatt1212 low iron is associated with restless legs. I would consider adding an iron supplement in addition to your prenatal if you haven't already.

I have been in L&D all day and they have went ahead and admitted me to the hospital and I am here until LO is born. My blood pressure spiked and it took a bit to go down and they decided they don't want to risk it and will be inducing in the next few days so we are on steroid shots to make sure his lungs are fully developed. So I should have him by Friday! And baby ahower is for this coming Saturday but my husband graciously said he would go in my place and FaceTime me, I'm kinda sad because this is the only one I was having and I have to miss it.

@bwing10 Sending prayers to you! And I love @SouthernMama15s idea of having some close friends or family come to the hospital to have a mini shower with you. Stay strong and keep us posted. Xoxo
oh and @SouthernMama15 it sounds like you might have a super irritable cervix, maybe? Which could come in handy if LO reaches his eviction date and you start actively trying to encourage labor? Hope the BH calm down for you now though!
@bwing10 You got this, girl! Will be thinking of you and LO this week. Hope everything goes smoothly for you the next few days. I got the steroid shots as well, that is great they have enough time to give them to you. Your boy will do awesome!
Im pretty sure I pulled a muscle or something on my lower right side, I deep cleaned my kitchen and I think all the bending to scrub the floor and lower cabinets did something. I can't even lean forward - there is a similar pain right above my rib cage under my boob. I guess I have my excuse to relax the rest of the week and not do anything!
Thinking of you @bwing10! I have been short of breath the last couple of days- I don't really think it is due to him being in my ribs rather than my body just realized that it is carrying all this extra weight. Ugh. It's exhausting.
@bwing10 It sounds like you and your little one are in good hands!
I have had zero heartburn this whole pregnancy but the acid reflux is horrible the past few weeks (so I think not attributed to what I eat, just where the baby is). It woke me up 4 times last night so I had to get up and get a tums and try to sleep propped up. I think the tums worked as I was eventually able to go back to sleep on my side. I can't find good info on heartburn vs. acid reflux medicine as I don't want to take something unnecessarily.
@jwatt5 I literally had a dream last week that my baby poked her hand out of my cervix, and that I reached on in there myself and pushed her hand back inside. So weird! I'm sorry you're feeling that way.
My irritating symptom is rising bile when I'm trying to sleep. Tums has been helping. Even though we eat dinner a few hours before going to bed, it's like nothing settles anymore.
If you are having heartburn/acid reflux, try Zantac! I got it last week becuase of recommendations here, and its been a game changer! I have slept so much better, without any reflux, and its been amazing!

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
So many menstrual like cramps this week. Mostly at end of day. Online says it's normal but still gonna mention it to OB. They aren't Braxton Hicks because I get them too. The other night the BH were painful and coming every 5 minutes that I feared labor. But it stopped after an hour.
Every so often I have these sharp rib pains right under my breasts. Drs have told me it's most likely growing pains/crowded space but they sure do hurt. Thankfully they don't last too long and stretching helps. Yesterday I noticed a couple small brownish splotches on my face so I learned about a new pregnancy symptom, melasma or the "pregnancy mask." So, I have to load up on sunscreen or it gets worse. Also, found out that I gained 4 lbs since my appt last week.... whoops! Don't know how that happened but the dr wasn't worried, I'm just more embarrassed. Besides all that and not sleeping through the night, I tell people who ask "I feel great!"
