   I have just been filling the bags with only 3 ounces.  I figure if I don't use it until later I can always combine two bags.

  I freeze a max of 4oz in a bag. I did the same with the boys and no significant amount was ever really wasted.

  Thanks! I think my thought was that I could use the containers for purée later, but the bags are cheaper so I'll use them for now

  Some people do "freezer fridays" where they feed all day from freezer and freeze the stuff they pump that day. If you do that you'd thaw enough for the whole day which having full bags helps with and then your rotating your stash as well. @PartiallyDomesticated
