No Jimmy Johns for me, but I did cave and get a Publix sub yesterday (Boars Head meat which is supposed to be safe!). If you know Publix, then you know the deliciousness that is the Publix sub.
@dcamp18 yes, I love Publix subs! I typically get the chicken tender so don't have to worry about it but will keep in mind the note about Boar's Head if I get a turkey craving.
During my first pregnancy I ate only lunch meat that had been heated to steaming bc of listeria concerns. But this time around I said fuck it, mostly bc the first time around there were multiple listeria recalls and not a damn one was for lunch meat BUT there were plenty for bagged salad, cheese, and ice cream!
^^^ This!!!! I've eaten lunch meat almost everyday through my 3 pregnancies with no issues. You can get listeria from so many sources, lunch meat just gets singled out.
@cyanope I was thinking the same thing. No Jimmy John's in Alaska, and I don't recall ever seeing them when traveling. I'm ok not knowing what I may be missing. I have serious aversions to meat (and most foods), so I am in the camp of any food that stays in is good food.

I'm resurfacing this zombie thread to say that Jimmie Johns can suck it and I can't wait for Monday bitch fest tomorrow to complain. Three of my coworkers and I ordered and close to an hour and a half later it's still not here. I'm working on a Sunday, sweaty from cleaning cages and am hangry pregnant.... DONT mess with my food!
I wanted jimmy johns so bad last pregnancy that I gobbled down TWO full size veggie sandwiches....and then, um, couldn't keep them down....and now I hate jimmy johns ;((
I'm all about Jersey Mikes. I always want it. I try to avoid lunch meat, but I allow myself to cheat from time to time. I could really use a turkey sub right about now! Mmmmm
