I'm here now too. My RE didn't say anything about us waiting to TTC after my laparoscopy. He did say if he removed a fibroid that we would have to wait 2 cycles. So I am assuming we are good to go. I'd be more concerned about if we should wait or not but since we've only had one pregnancy in two years, I don't think the odds are good this cycle will work either. We are just going to NTNP this cycle until we meet with my RE at the end of July.

I feel like I'm back in limbo over here given that my last AF was extremely light. I'm worried that scars are reforming or that things are taking a turn for the bad. Last cycle (post-O), I started fertility acupuncture, so I became more hopeful, but now I'm feeling very uncertain about things. My surgeon was supposed to look into what to do next and get back to me and it's been a month, I believe. My regular OB has been trying to keep on top of the surgeon and says she will speak to her today and hopefully get an update. I have asked for another HSG to make sure my tubes are open and get an overall idea of whether there is new scar formation, but I'm getting resistance.

My acupuncturist also has me taking a dozen pills every morning and evening, which is not my cup of tea. It's a lot to be going through for potentially no benefit.

I just wish that last month's AF was a fluke and I get a more normal AF this month (or get KU!), but I'm not feeling very optimistic.

Also hugs to you with everything going on with your cycle. I don't have much advice. It seems my cycle changes each month.

Sorry for the late response! I just looked for acupuncturists on yelp and happened to come across a clinic that specifically focuses on that. All of their acupuncturists are trained in fertility so no matter who you see, they can keep with your "plan" so to speak. For me, they do electrical stimulation to promote blood flow to the uterus in the pre-ovulation period and then focus on other stuff in the post-ovulation period. They are really a mix of Chinese Medicine as well as Western Medicine and they work very closely with fertility clinics and are accustomed to being an adjunct to other fertility treatment. They wanted me to get a full fertility workup as far as bloodwork goes to make sure I didn't have any other battles to fight. (They also recommend HSG but I had already had one.)

They also take a whole-body approach by recommending diet changes, supplements, and promoting exercise. The supplements were a bit overwhelming at first - there is a lot of them. The first week I didn't think I could keep doing it long term, but now I'm getting in the swing of it and it's not as bad to take a dozen or so pills per day.

Cost was been $100 for the first session and $75 per hour-long session thereafter. They recommend coming 2x/week before ovulation and then 1x/week after.

Before acupuncture, my lining was non-existent (3mm) and not trilaminar one cycle and 5.5-7.5mm and not good trilaminar my last cycle. This cycle my lining is 7.5-9.5mm and trilaminar - it looks much better on ultrasound. I don't know whether my body is just getting back to normal or whether the acupuncture and supplements are helping, but I'll take it! I'm actually starting to feel hopeful again since 8mm is sufficient for IVF if we end up having to go that way.
