    Stuck in a box!
This is my fear too! Especially since my mom used TB with her last pregnancy and she knows I use it. She isn't the sort to try and look me up, but it makes me realize it's likely that there may be someone on TB who I know in IRL.I don't want anyone I know reading all my posts. And yes, I am extremely paranoid. Like I live in the quitest neightborhood ever and lock all my doors in broad daylight paranoid.

I completely get it. When it comes to social media or public boards such as TB, I could care less if people I know read what I've written. But I am also the type of person that says it like it is at all times. There isn't much that I hide. So anything I've said on here is exactly what I'd say to people I know IRL. But again, I totally get how people use TB to vent, bitch, complain and such to us strangers because saying those things to our family and/or friends is a no-no. I'm just pointing out that I'm not weird for showing my face. I just don't give a f*ck.

ETA: @Perfectypo you would probably cringe knowing that before I moved to Philadelphia, I would never lock my house doors. I didn't want to be bothered to find my house keys to unlock the door. Leaving them unlocked was so much easier. The only reason my doors are locked now is because we go in and out through our garage which has an electric garage door.

  • @cwalker042 I think it's great when people do post bump photos with their face if they are comfortable with it  :) I think it's fun to see who people are. When I do join Facebook then I won't mind posting photos with my face, until then I will continue being my paranoid self, haha!

The not locking your house sounds scary to me! Hopefully someday I will be a bit better and not be so paranoid... I do realize it's a bit over the top. Just ask DH, he'll agree I'm way to careful! But its awesome you were comfortable leaving the place unlocked, trying to find keys is always annoying  :)

On my DS' BMB, I found out in HDBD that I grew up with a girl who was a regular. It was weird. I wasn't very active and tried to ignore it for a while, but ended up letting her know who I was too. I think it ruined it for both of us.

@cwalker042 I forgot you were in Philly too! We also used to never lock our doors before Philadelphia.

  • @sojoba I agree with everything you said. I don't feel the need to post on everything here, especially now that I'm in the fb group, but I want to post where I can. I don't think you have to be super active here for me to comment on something you say, too.
And now that you mention it, the spreadsheet freaks me out!

  • After reading all of this @DuchessOfCambridge your UO made me decide to remove my info from the spreadsheet thread. I normally am very careful about privacy but I honestly didn't think too much about the spreadsheet. Once I started thinking about it though I couldn't stop.
  • @maegpie the internet is a weird weird place

Haha @TeacherMama7 I didn't mean to scare anyone. You can see from the Facebook group my name is not that common, so first name + location makes it pretty easy to know who I am! Especially since I started bumping before first tri was over, I didn't want to enter my info.
  • @sojoba you didn't scare me, but I Am appreciative of you making no more aware Nd thinking about that

  • @cwalker042 I forgot you were in Philly too! We also used to never lock our doors before Philadelphia.
I don't think I knew you were in Philly! I know there are at least two others in the area too.

  • I appreciate everyone being concerned and making others aware. You never know what lurkers there may be or drivebys as @ElizabethSchuyler calls them. That one still is making me laugh even a day later.

My UO is that I hate baby clothes that have sayings on them. For instance, Daddy's Girl, My Aunt Loves Me, Mommy's Angel, Daddy's Buddy. Isn't all of this a given? I will find the cutest outfit but see these phrases and instantly put it back. Even the onesies that have single words like, Happy, Cutie, etc. I don't mind Big Big Brother, little sister and such. It's the obvious ones that I cannot stand.
Totally agree. I find those sayings cheesy. I don't really wear any clothing with words, other than the occasional location related tshirt. Just a matter of personal style.

My sister wanted to get the babies onesies that say the name of the city she lives in. I straight up told her they will never wear those and not to waste her money. We don't live in that city, and don't need people asking us if we're from there (we're not).

  • I really dont miss alcohol

To be fair I quit drinking while we were TTGP so its been a few years, but still
  • @bcashaw I wish I didn't miss it, but I do! I want cold beer and summery cocktails and wine. All of them. I hate watching other people drink all the deliciousness while I'm sipping on my water or seltzer

  • Gah  I don't comment a lot on these active conversations I think because of time difference  and maybe on others because  of cultural differences.  And probably less now because of anxiety issues . I didn't join fb group in the end because we'll I couldn't sort out my email mails and didn't want to keep pestering about it so I cut my loss and figured I wouldn't be missed ,  prodominatly because of the aforementioned time difference and always missing the live conversation .

I love yogurt but i totally get why people don't .

I don't necessarily think Google and knowledge are sinonamous.
