Had an eye appointment yesterday after I was done I walked out. I got half way down the road and realized I didn't pay for my appointment so back I went. The receptionist was very nice about it and was just happy I came back to pay. Also I am blaming this on pregnancy brain.
Guys I am so excited, I am having a dance party in my office. I am still in a temporary office space while mine is being renovated and it's not ideal, full of boxes and random desks, BUT the two people I WAS sharing the space with who were annoying the F out of me are gone!!!!!! I have peace and quiet and can actually focus on my work
DH felt little one kick yesterday but I had to eat the Fireworks Oreos with poprocks in them to get LO to move enough.
My MIL is a L&D nurse and today we're going to her work to check the baby's heart beat and my blood pressure. Moving mid pregnancy means I haven't seen a dr in 4 weeks and I won't see one for a few more weeks most likely, because insurance is an ass and I can't set up care in GA before having a residence there. You think the military would get it, at least the lady on the phone was nice about it though.
I took a day off from work as I wanted to spend the day cleaning, getting organized, getting my pantry in order etc. instead I've been on the couch watching greys since 9 am this morning and I don't feel like moving a muscle ( except for bumping). Oh dear lord I have never felt the lazy in my life!!!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
I hate car shopping. Why is it so hard to get a straight answer about the price?! Seriously. I'm about ready to be like, "first dealer to give me a straight, reasonable quote wins"
@jess0211 I really did like @kissthesky32's method of give me your lowest price, spreadsheet it, and then send it to everyone. But from what I remember, dealers were being super annoying about giving you pricing! I would ask what their out the door prices are and go from there. Car shopping is THE WORST, I hope it's over for you soon.
@DuchessOfCambridge dealers here are ridiculous. They won't even respond with prices, rather they want to know what other inventory you might be interested in, what you want your monthly payment to be etc. over it.
@jess0211 do you already know what car you want? It may have helped that I knew I wanted a 2017 CR-V EX with nothing added and was firm about that. Sorry dealers in your area are so annoying! I would be yelling at everyone.
Seamstress was sable to make my "real" bridesmaid dress big enough by letting out the seams. I may still change at the reception into my maternity back up dress, but I'm thankful I can wear the real one to the ceremony and for most of the pictures.
@08-16-08jms I just had to bring in my bridesmaid dress for my SIL's wedding that's the end of July. She has to let out every seam along the waist. It's princess seamed so it has a lot and isn't pregnancy friendly. She also is shortening the boning and adding bra loops to secure my bra straps.
@DuchessOfCambridge@jess0211 DH and I just bought our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee a few weeks ago. We were looking at leasing a new one but it turned out the first dealership wasn't including taxes and such so the monthly lease price was going to be high (thanks MA) and with me not working we didn't want to take on too much. We found a 2011 model with 40k miles and in perfect condition. It made our payments a lot more manageable. Either way, it was a PITA going to three different dealerships and getting different quotes on the same car. We inevitably found our Jeep at a Honda dealership, must have been a trade in.
I just found out today that we might not have to deliver Amazon on the 4th. I'm trying to be cool about it and not get my hopes up because there's always a chance that they could change their mind at the last minute. But I'm excited!
Im feeling pretty badass because i didnt nap today, and i went to a full zumba class, and i had a salad for dinner. Im really rocking this adult thing today
You guys................ My school year is FINALLY OVER!!! I have been trying to keep middle schoolers calm all this week while avoiding the evil eye from elementary teachers who think the middle school part of our k-8 school is terrible and should be eradicated, all while NOT LOSING MY MIND OR TEMPER AT THESE DUMB TEENAGERS WHO ARE JUST AS HORMONAL AS ME. I am so proud of myself. But seriously. Who schedules school to go all the way till June 30th???
Ladies...I don't recognize my own husband right now.
I left for a conference for 2.5 days and came home to quite a few surprises and a different man, lol. He is entering super nesting mode. I don't know where it's coming from.
He swept, cleaned and polished our wood floors. He scrubbed and sealed our granite counter tops. He vacuumed our stairs as well.
He did all of the dishes and cleared off the counters.
All of the sudden he is hell bent on setting up the nursery and now re-finishing the top to the dresser that I re-finished for the nursery. he has been sanding and painting the top. I actually didn't want to add the top because it is a bit bulky...but the effort he put in and the excitement he has around it is keeping me from saying anything about it. So I am just going to roll with it. It's really endearing...but also a little surprising.
Don't get me wrong, I love it all and appreciate it...but I am just so surprised. Also, now he is all bent out of shape that I was tired from traveling and just threw my suit case in the room and left a dish on the counter after eating a snack. Ok Mr. Clean...take a chill pill.
ETA: I really want to lounge on the couch right now, relax and watch Orange is the New Black...but DH is in our basement powering up the sander again. I have a feeling he will be there for a few more hours.
It's my SIL's bridal shower today followed by her bachelorette party. Dinner isn't until 8pm.....I may die. And tomorrow our day is full of family BBQs and Monday we leave.
The word mucus makes me want to throw up. All of the brief discussions about plugs and even just typing this I'm gagging. I've always been this way but pregnancy has made it worse. We had to use a Neti pot on DD which hello have you tried that with a 4yo that hates water in their nose... I couldn't do it and I couldn't even be in the room when DH tried.
@dragonfly87-2 DH isn't quite as nest-y as yours but he did mention putting the crib together this weekend! I was fine holding off on it for a while and letting it sit in the box but he really wants to!
Spent the day in ER. DS had a severe reaction to my friends dog. Totally unexpected. He is better now but he got very bad with both eyes swelling and I thought he was going into shock. Thank god it was just local. They sent him home after testing and observation and now I got to watch him for 24 hours. It's my husbands birthday tomorrow and we have 25 people coming over. I have not even had the chance to think about what I'm going to feed them. Wonderful!
I have some happy news! I was lurking march 18 board and recognized a username. Im so happy that after the loss of her nov baby heather dubrow is now due in march. Obviously its a hard thing, but im so happy for her and now im crying about it.

Glad your DS is ok! Hopefully he'll get a good night's sleep and be back to normal in the morning!
had he ever been around dogs before?
