Weekly Randoms 6/26-7/2

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • @slaven I HAAAATE when they want to measure me. It's my body. I put a bra on it every (well most... most-ish) day(s). I know my damn size.

I've been wearing stretchy one size fits most nursing bras since DS was born.  I can't wait until I am done bearing children and can get fitted for a proper bra.  I also kind of want a boob job when I'm finished with kids because the gals point down lately ;)

DH was out late playing video games with his friends last night and got back at almost 3 am. I was mad and cranky about it because this is about the 4th night in a row and he always sleeps in late the next day. I was tossing and turning from when he got home until about 6 am. Sucks for me but I'm kind of happy that it interrupted his sleep too. This morning he said that he was going to order me a pregnancy pillow for my birthday which is next Friday but decided to use my Amazon Prime to order it today and have it before we leave MA.

I now get to spend the day cleaning and organizing our stuff because our weekend is scheduled with events and we're supposed to leave Monday.

  • I was a 34 B before and I fit in a 34 C now but I should've gotten a 36 C but I didn't want to return them and wait longer so it works. I also want a boob job after pregnancy because my boobs have always been very dense and I love how full they are during pregnancy.

I have the day off today and my DS made his nose bleed because he can't keep his fingers out. So he goes to wash his hands at the kitchen sink to get the blood off and falls backwards off the chair and hits his head on the drawer knob and now he's super whiny. He wants carrots and black olives and of course we're out of both. I gave him some asprin so hopefully he'll take a good nap in about an hour and be back to his normal self.

Guys I am having the hardest time focusing and staying awake today. It's bad. I don't have time between work, commute and things that need tpo get done at home to catch a few extra zzzzz's. Feeling guilty but contemplating a cup of coffee...
Girl, same. I'm trying to drink all the water pretending it's waking me up like they say it does.

  • @jess0211 same here.  I had a half cup of coffee and it did nothing for me.  Ugh.
  • @av2323 i had always intended to get a lot of work done when inwas finished having children... now  im actually not sure. Not sure if my thoughts have changed in regards to Plastic surgery or what... but i dont think ill go for half as much as what i had originally planned. A boob job, or as @BayCamp says just a lift might be what i do...
And maybe a tummy tuck depending on what my excess skin situation looks like
  • @slaven for me when people are measuring me my boobs are small and I have a muscular back so it hard for me to find a bra. With being pregnant I can finally fill it out. I have a difficult time getting measured at Victoria Secret.
  • I hate getting measured at VS. I'm sure they don't actually know how to fit bras properly.

I need some advice. I am supposed to stop by my husband's office today for a retirement party for the office manager. We've known her for over 10 yrs and she's kind of like a grandma to all of the younger guys and since DH and I work at the same place she's always been super sweet and kind to me. She is obsessed with me being pregnant, in a positive way and loves seeing my little bump and really wants to see me today before she leaves (she's asked DH today if I could stop over). I just found out that DHs co worker who was also pregnant lost her LO recently. I don't want to causes her any discomfort or to be upset as I know this must be a very very hard time for her. I am afraid if she sees my obvious bump it'll upset her. I want to be sensitive to her and also make sure I say my goodbyes to the office manager. Unfortunately I can't go over after prime hours because we are leaving early today for an appt. I am not sure what to do as I want to be sensitive to everyone. Any advice? Thoughts?  I thought perhaps I could just pop in quietly...not sure how possible that will be as his whole office will likely see me and comment or ask about the baby. I feel terrible.

  • @jess0211 Can your husband arrange to have her meet you somewhere in the building that you're not likely to see the coworker? Or can he give the coworker the heads up?

  • @NYTino24 I asked him if he could have her meet me donwstairs in the lobby...waiting to hear back. He can't alert the coworker bc he's not supposed to know I guess,  someone else told him so that he could tell me.

  • @jess0211 It's so nice of you to be so considerate. I like the idea of seeing the office manager elsewhere - especially since she will probably want to talk about your baby and bump. If that's not possible, I would have your husband just mention that you will be stopping by at X time in front of his coworker, just so she has a heads up and can disappear if she needs to.

  • @kissthesky32 that's a good idea, maybe he can just casually mention it in a group setting so he's not drawing specific attention to her. I feel so badly for her. There are several guys in his office expecting right now so it's probably a constant convo over there. I made sure DH knew to keep the chatter to a minimum for awhile. Though he's pretty sensitive to that stuff so he probably didn't need to be told.

  • Does the coworker leave on her lunch and you could stop by than while she's not there?

    Group dynamics are so interesting
  • @bcashaw I feel like @kissthesky32 and @ElizabethSchuyler are bffs and I'm that annoying third wheel friend who is like HI!
I'll take both of you as my best bumpies!
