Ladies, thank you so much. Prayers are all we can ask for. I have struggled today - with my faith a bit as to why this happened. I've been reminded many times that it's unknown why this happened and it's gods plan for me and we have to accept it. Someone said - this pain and disappointment will all be worth it one day. I'm just praying that day comes sooner than later. Dr says he doesn't know why - Most likely this happened bc of abnormal Chromosomes. My body probably would have miscarried sooner but the progesterone and estrogen kept it going.. dr is 99.9% sure it won't grow. There was a TINY yolk sac. I can pass naturally, have a D&C, or induce with a cervix softening med. I chose to induce it. I'll do that Sunday am. We are heartbroken. Please just pray for us. Thank you all for being so thoughtful. I am definitely going to check out the MC board. Blah. I never in a million years thought I'd even be on the infertility board - none of us did! It's crazy. God has a plan and a way and I need to keep that in front of me. I am going to follow along to see you all & your successes! I feel like we have come so far together. I'm truly happy for all of you! Hi Ladies - Questions for all!!

Besides acupuncture before and after transfer did anyone keep going leading up to the transfer? Once a week? Twice a week? or after??

And the Sex question, once you started prep no sex? I basically dont have a sex life doing all these back to back ivf cycles so just curious.

**Lurking** @Hopeful_mom We didn't stop having sex until the day before transfer. I wasn't told to cut it so we wanted to keep going until we had to stop for the time after transfer. Hope that is helpful

I know this is TMI - do u use protection just thinking of the crnione and stuff thats in there, could that hurt him in anyway. Way i'm feeling today he deserves a lil pain

@Hopeful_mom I've been doing acupuncture once a week since we started having trouble. For transfer- I went the night before transfer and for this specific transfer I went the morning following transfer (I know they say it's better to go right before and right after but because of the office hours and travel into the city it just wasn't realistic for me)- but something worked this time! Also, I'm continuing it once a week.
As far as sex, they just told us to stop after transfer. But I can say we stopped before that because PIO ruins everything lol...

@Hopeful_mom I didn't do acupuncture so I can't give you any advice on that. My office told me no sex after transfer until the first pregnancy test, and then after that it was fine to have sex. In regards to the crinone gel I asked my nurse the same question and she said that it will not do any thing to a man.

after transfer what symptoms did you have if any and how soon did you poas?

@momma6angels11 I didn't really have any symptoms, I still don't. My breasts are a little sensitive, I felt nauseous once but after I ate I felt better, and I had heartburn a couple of times but I haven't had it recently.

I POAS starting on day 7 and got a very faint positive. Are you having symptoms?

@momma6angels11 I didn't have many symptoms either. Only thing has been being bloated which hasn't gone away. I POAS on day 5 and got a very faint positive on day 6.

@Hopeful_mom I didn't do acupuncture this FET. I've done it in the past right before and after FET (immediately), as well as into the first trimester. I've heard conflicting guidelines about having it in the first trimester b/c of possible uterine cramping, but it definitely did help me with nausea/MS in my first pregnancy. Regarding sex: ditto what @kmoore6886 said...none until beta. If beta is positive, sex is ok afterwards unless experiencing any bleeding. If bleeding, pelvic rest until first US.

@momma6angels11 I did not experience extreme symptoms between FET and beta. Some light cramping, steady light back ache, sore boobs, emotional (not abnormal, ha!). Honestly it was nothing to make me feel sure it had worked. If anything, I was doubtful and thought it was all from the progesterone. I tested with FRER on 6dp5dt.

Its funny you're trying to make a baby yet you have no sex life!! I can forget about after transfer! He wont touch me! And I had the MC anyway... At least i know I got a good 2 weeks

My clinic is partnered with a place that will come to the clinic to do the pre//post acupuncture, its expensive but I think worth it. I"m glad to see people really haven't been going that much prior to the transfer, acupuncture is not my favorite and expensive. I think once I start the prep I try to get one session a week before in just in case

@momma6angels11 how r u doing? Are u feeling any different? I always felt while sitting my tummy felt a lil sour, not crampie just a bit off. I kept telling myself that there is something going on in there...glad i was right as I did get that bfp with twins! But I didn't have major signs so remember ppl still get the bfp with no signs at all!

@Hopeful_mom - I didn't do acupuncture at all...i hate needles, so i've always been wary of it...lol! About sex, honestly all the PIO and meds made me feel NOT in the mood. at all. lol.....

@momma6angels11 - i have no discipline at. all. and i tested 4 days past transfer which was Mother's Day. I thought that would be "poetic/ironic" to get a BFP on that day...and I did! I transferred 2 and they were both fully hatched, so i'm thinking that's why they implanted so quickly. as for symptoms, i had had some cramps the first week or so after transfer, and was really tired, but the nausea didn't pick up until 2-ish weeks after the transfer date.

Good morning ladies. I had my ultrasound this morning and there is one gestational sac and yolk sac measuring 10mm and the ultrasound tech said that is the size it should be for 6 weeks. She was not able to see a heartbeat though. She said it could be the position. I am waiting to hear from my doctor so I know when he wants me to go back in for a second ultrasound. I hope and pray that the heartbeat is detected on the second ultrasound.

@kmoore6886 I'm sorry that this morning's US didn't go entirely as planned. It's great that the sacs were measuring on track though! FX that your doc gets back to you soon regarding a follow up US! Hope you're staying positive!

I go back in tomorrow morning for blood work, they want to test HCG, progesterone and estrogen. My doctor wants me to have another ultrasound next Monday. I'm trying to stay positive and hope for the best.

@kmoore6886, my RE warned me that the heartbeat might not be visible at a 6 week ultrasound. They look for fetal pole/yoke sak and are hopeful to see a heartbeat. I believe (but not 100%) that it can be normal for the fetal pole to not develop a beat until 4.5 weeks fetal age and if you have a late implantation that could put you closer to 7weeks gestational age before heart beat is visible.

FX for strong numbers, and a fast little flicker next week!

AFM yesterday i got a wave of nausea out of nowhere with steady backache and today had crazy heartburn..

My last pregnancy i poas 3dp5dt and got a very very faint + and at 3dp5dt this time it was a -
But Girls......this morning at 4 1/2 dp5dt i got a very very faint BFP that got a tad darker later today at 5dp5dt (i had an afternoon transfer)

@kmoore6886 UGH! I am sorry your u/s left you uncertain, but hopefully your bloodwork today and next u/s will show everything where it should be. It is good news the sacs were measuring appropriately and everything I have read says seeing a hb at 6w is not always a given. There is also such a wide range of skill among u/s technicians, some are great and some are not so talented.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and praying for the best.

@Hoping10 I didn't get my results, they send the blood to Quest so I guess they didn't get them back today. I am hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. I'm hoping maybe it was late implantation and that's why they didn't see the fetal pole.

Thanks ladies for the positive thoughts. I got my beta results, 9,932. It didn't double in 2 days more like 3.5 days. I'm still clinging to hope because I actually read that hcg going up at least 35% every two days is okay, and I read once you get to 6 weeks your hcg can take up to 96 hours to double. I still haven't heard from the doctor to hear his opinion but I'm sure he will want me to get another ultrasound and I plan on that. The clinic I went to for the first ultrasound doesn't have an opening until next Thursday. That seems so far away. I may call around to see if I can get an appointment some where else for the beginning of next week. Please keep me in your prayers. ☺

@kmoore6886 I'm happy to hear that your numbers are rising- I think that is still a very good sign. Ugh I don't love that they can't do ultrasound til next Thursday- are there any other clinics close to you? This place doesn't seem to be the most efficient (for ex. I can literally go in any morning of the week for blood work and ultrasound and it's not an issue). I know all places are different, but they don't seem to be making it any easier for you. Or maybe you can go to a place like zwanger for the ultrasound earlier in the week..try to hang in there..

@Hoping10 the nurse finally called me and told me the doctor was concerned that my hcg wasn't higher, he wanted to see it around 13,000. I did find a radiology center that can see me Monday. I'm hoping for a miracle.

No baby.....the ultrasound tech saw two yolk sacs in the gestational sac this time but she did not see a baby. I am numb and questioning if I will ever be able to have a biological child. I wish all of you the best.
