Even though I totally picked a fight with DH last night (that hasn't fully come to a head yet) about plans he has made for tonight, I'm actually hoping he doesn't change his plans. A night home alone sounds so relaxing.

@pebbledam Ha! H was driving me up the wall last night. Then he started half-jokingly talking about what a glorious weekend it's going to be here and if there was a weekend to call in sick this would be it. I had a hard time not just snapping and asking him how I can miss him if he won't go away. Luckily, he got up and left for work this morning.

And yes, I will casually mention that I never got back to sleep after he left at 4:30.

@kiki75, @RVAmom515 - I'm glad I'm not the only one that wants to kick DH out of the house.
@becausescience - You must be a brunette/redhead because dry shampoo makes blonde hair look greasy/unnaturally shiny.

@becausescience Haha love it! I'm dying my hair silver soon. Once that's done, it's recommended you only wash your hair 1-2 times per week. I'm so excited to have a reason to not wash my hair and just use dry shampoo.

@pebbledam They make some specifically for blonde hair now. I use it and it's glorious.

Me too. My hair is too thick to wash more than twice a week. Sometimes twice a week is too much. Dry shampoo is a lifesaver. Do you have a fave brand?

I cancelled my time off work because I might get AF (was warned it might be extra painful after having to force it). Of course, I didn't tell anyone that's why, and am letting them all think I'm just being responsible and considerate

@becausescience I also only wash twice a week. @looeeze I have super thick as well, and it just takes too long to dry and I am too lazy to blow dry it that much. But I hate having wet hair, so that is another reason I only wash twice a week.

@pebbledam, @RVAmom515 and @kiki75 I wish my husband was out of the house more often. I miss my along time. He has been playing golf more and whenever he asks about playing on the weekend I am so excited!
And I also let my husband know that he wakes me up at 5 am every morning when he gets ready for work, even though he is always "trying to be quiet".

Haha I guess I'm the odd one out? DH and I fight and bicker a ton, but we'd both be happiest if we were just together 24/7. We watch all the same shows and movies so when he's not home there's almost nothing I can watch on tv without it being a betrayal. Lol

@doxiemoxie212 - Because I work nights, I generally like spending time with him on the weekend nights when I'm off, but it's been a long week and this introvert could use some quiet time.

@becausescience My FFFC is worse:

I only wash my hair twice a week (due to thick hair like @looeeze ) and I've never used dry shampoo. The grease is real. But I just hate washing my hair. Going to get it cut off soon.

I think someone has said this before, but I do it too, I give side-eye and passive-aggressively don't address people who only put their stuff out there and don't try to interact with others on the boards. We're all here for the same reason, you got to give some support to get some.

@pebbledam I am a total introvert too, I totally value my quiet time. I sometimes drive home from work in total silence (no radio/nothing) just to enjoy the peace and quiet.

@doxiemoxie212 @SkilledSailor I'm with you guys on this one. I'm pretty introverted, but I never get tired of having DH around. In fact, a big part of why I married him is that he's the only person I've ever lived with who I never got annoyed with/sick of. Like @SkilledSailor I like it when we're doing separate activities, but in the same room or at least in the house together.

@SkilledSailor what color is your hair now? I'd invest in some blue/purple shampoo and conditioner if I were you! Silver can be the hardest on your hair and hardest to maintain (IMO - licensed cosmetologist over hur).

@Avrilmai agreed. I just kinda ignore people who only ever just post and don't interact.

@pebbledam I totally feel you. I'm a pro at making DH feel just a teeny bit guilty for spending nights out/away with his friends, but really I'm usually just glad to have time to myself.

@lund I'm currently a light blonde. I started using the purple shampoo/conditioner a couple of months ago after my last coloring. We've been going super slow from medium blonde (my natural color) to silver. So I had bright blonde for the wedding, and today I'm becoming platinum blonde and finally going silver in August. It will be a total of four colorings over five months. I guess my FFFC now is that I'm spending a ridiculous amount of money to dye my hair silver and then maintain it. My H recently did the math and pointed out it was half the cost of the new floors I've been talking about. Also, is being a cosmetologist as fun as I imagine?

@pebbledam I am a brunette. I'm with @labgrand2012 that I have pretty thick hair. I'm glad I can get away with it because I hate blow drying my hair. During the summer I mostly air dry because I don't have to be presentable. (I'm a teacher.)

@skilledsailor Silver! Sounds fun - pics when you finish the process?

@looeeze My favorite is Living Proof - but it is pricy! I usually stock up during the VIB sales at Sephora. Not Your Mother's is okay too.

@SkilledSailor I applaud your cosmetologist for doing it the right way! Too many people have no idea how to make silver work without destroying the hair and also make it maintainable. Sounds like you're doing everything right! Eh, I did hair for 7 years and now I'm in economic development lol (but still have an active cos license). I like doing hair but I'm not quite extroverted enough for it to work for me full time. I might still end up doing it part time if I ever get KU. I had a nearly perfect clientele when I was in Colorado, but didn't try to build a new clientele after moving to ND because I found this other job and was perfectly happy to not doing hair very much. Managing people's expectations is the hardest thing, and the amount of money people in small town ND are willing to pay for hair services just doesn't make it worth my time.

I have blonde hair and used baby powder as dry shampoo long before I knew dry shampoo existed. I don't wash my hair everyday mostly because I'm lazy. I always air dry so it's not even that I have the excuse that it takes too long.

The idea of a night home alone isn't appealing because I have FOMO. But I do get one night a week when DH works overnights so maybe that's just enough for me.

My FFFC: I'm very frustrated with my new supervisor and we've been butting heads on a few issues lately. Part of me thinks I may only think that because I'm subconsciously jealous (*TW* she's KU).

Also, I can't complain to DH because I complained so much about my last job that he made me look for a new job

and I really do like my JOB! It's just overwhelming atm.

I don't understand people who use the default avatars. Like, if you're not invested enough in TB to upload a picture to your profile, then why should I think you're going to invest the time and energy to get to know us?

@doxiemoxie212 Yup, with you, I am a wreck when I'm not with MH 24/7 too. We will do separate things in the same room, but we hate being apart. It is probably annoying to other people. We basically have our own language at this point and it actually makes it hard to talk to other people. My life seriously ends every time he goes somewhere without me, which is probably not super healthy but IDGAF. Me whenever he goes to work in the morning:

@pebbledam Yeah I'm like, just take the 2 seconds to put up a pic. It doesn't have to be a personal pic. You can always just use a cat or a tree or something

I am jealous of all you thick haired ladies. My hair is sad and limp and if I don't wash it at least every other day it looks disgusting. BUT I never really need to blow dry it b/c it'll be dry in like 30 minutes on its own, even in winter. So that is nice.

As with UOs I guess my FFFC is I'm really running out of material here after doing so many FFFCs before. There is seriously nothing left that is even remotely juicy for me to share here. I guess I'm kinda boring.

@Sailing_mama - I actually assume everyone that uses the default avatars are STM+ because the baby bump must not bother them (they can identify with it). I could be wrong, but that's what my brain equates it to. I've never been pregnant, so it seemed weird for me to leave it like that.

@adirat Yeah I get the sense a lot of the no pic ppl are convinced they are moving on soon BUT for others it's probably just laziness. I always loved your pic the best because I feel like that dog is about to discuss some very important shit with me.

While we're on the subject of avatars, can I confess that until today I had never clicked on @kbamomma33's to see it bigger....and I do not know why, I cannot explain it, but I really, truly, genuinely thought her avatar was a still image from Frozen before I saw it enlarged. I don't know why! It's so weird I thought that!

FYI, @kbamomma33 I picture you as Elsa. I don't think it's something I can stop doing! Do you look like Elsa?

@SkilledSailor I used to be a cosmetologist and I still have my license. I loved it while I was in school, but once I started working in a salon, I grew to really dislike it. I agree with @lund that one of the most difficult parts was managing people's expectations. It's so awesome of you to be transitioning to silver slowly! Your hair will look AMAZING and still be healthy.

Right after I intro-ed here I decided to change my screen name (hated my old one) and finally changed my avatar. I wanted something that at least made me a little memorable when I posted. No good photos on my computer of my wedding or pets because my computer crashed a few months ago and I just never bothered transferring them over.

*TW* I never bothered changing my avatar when I was on my BMB, I don't know why. And I was pretty active on there towards the end. *end TW*

@vflux33 Not my dog. I found it online many years ago and it always made me laugh. For a while I had it on my account as the sharepoint site administrator for a project I worked on but then the project director wanted us to all have "professional pictures" (YAWN). Anyway it seemed like a good option when I needed a pic here.
