  • @kmoore6886 That's a great number! Congrats
  • Symptoms-wise i've been miserable. Only have gotten sick a few times, but the nausea is so bad that I've lost about 10 pounds in the past 2 weeks. Fatigue is also pretty bad so i've been taking 2-3 hour naps each day. The insomnia has also started this past week, along with breast tenderness. Can't wait for 2nd trimester!
  • Thank you everyone! @caseyw8784 I am sorry you are not feeling well. Hopefully you feel better soon!
  • @kmoore6886 I'm so happy for you! Ladies, overall this month has been amazing!

afm, I have my ultrasound on Thursday (6/22) (6 weeks, 6 days) ! I am crawling out of my skin to get there! I had one bad day of queasiness (6 weeks) and that's about it! On and off constipation or maybe I'm just not eating much due to food aversions so there's not much going on inside. Zero breast tenderness, fatigue is my number one symptom. I have still had light spotting pretty much every other day. Just ready to find out how many babies are in there & how it/they are doing!

Should i I expect to hear or just see the heartbeat at 6 weeks, 6 days?
  • @krenee124 yes you should be able to hear and see the heartbeat/heartbeats if they do a vaginal ultrasound..
  • @krenee124 I was told I would be able to see the heartbeat but not hear it because it is too early. My nurse in SC said a lot of clinics don't use the doppler this early anymore because studies have found that it could cause damage to the embryo. Let me know how your clinic does it!
  • @Hopeful_mom that is so great!! I know you are very ready to start.
@lynn2003 looking forward to your ultrasound update!
AFM today is finally here and just 5 more hours and ill be PUPO!!
  • @momma6angels11 - good luck today! FX for a smooth transfer!

@momurph - yay fellow twin mom! do you know your EDD yet? if January, i'll see you over in the Jan 18 board!

@Hopeful_mom - YAY for your little fighters! and it's so exciting that your FET may be as soon as a few weeks! You've waited so long for this, and it's almost here!
I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow. The nausea seems to be breaking up a bit the last week or so...some days I'm almost completely fine with just mild nausea, other days I don't want to get out of bed. (before this past week, it was 24/7 of the latter!) Yes, my RE also said that i was feeling so bad cause there's two in here...oy. Ginger helps. My grocery store carries little crystallized ginger gummies that helps. Ginger ale helps a bit but lately has been tasting weird haha. Mainly, those Flavor Ice icy pops and fruit smoothies are my go to. If I'm not feeling really bad, I've been putting a scoop of protein powder in the smoothies so at least I'm getting some protein, but yea, fruit, carbs, and lemonade have been my main staple for a while. On Monday, we were at a BBQ and i was feeling decent. The (homemade, aka safe) potato salad and corn on the cob was probably the best tasting meal i've had in a long time!
My OB is a bit hesitant to put me on meds if I'm not having trouble keeping food down - my main problem is that i just don't want to eat! DH is becoming a drill sergeant with forcing me to eat.

  • @momma6angels11 good luck today! I am sending sticky vibes your way!
  • @Hopeful_mom Yay for your fighters! And yay for hopefully transferring very soon!!

@momma6angels11 Good luck today!! Sending positive vibes!

  • @momma6angels11 - sending all sticky vibes your way - hoping everything went smoothly for you!!!  I thought it was tomorrow, my apologies for not sending them you're way sooner!!

@lynn2003 thats such a great update!  I know how bummed and doubtful you were and yet here you are!  May you and your lil bean keep getting stronger each day together!

caseyw8784 Glad things are working out!  I did live on baked lays too, that was really my main staple ;)  I did lose a few lbs which was nice considering how much I put on to get there.  My RE wasn't concerned as I was still getting something in.  Even my nurses told me as long as you get 2 spoonfuls of food in here and there you'll be fine!  Shows you how much a really over eat huh  :D

  • @lynn2003 Yay!!! So glad you had a great US with a nice, strong hb!

@krenee124 Good luck at your US tomorrow!

@momma6angels11 Congrats on a smooth FET! Sending you all the sticky vibes :)

@Hopeful_mom  Thank you! I'm feeling pretty green most of the time as I definitely have nausea/ms that's making it tough to eat anything. Usually I perk up around 2pm-8pm and feel a little relief. Toast/bagels, saltines & cheddar, and canteloupe are my thing right now.  No complaints here, though. I'd take it 10x over if I had to!
What awesome news for you about your embabies! How long will it take to get results on the chromosomal testing? Omg, that's fantastic that FET could be as soon as 7/10... literally *right* around the corner. Isn't it just the best when things finally fall into place timing-wise? There's so much waiting we have to go through for everything, so you deserve a quick turn around here!

@caseyw8784 Thanks! It looks like my adjusted DD will be 1/17, but my original (i.e., assumed singleton) was 2/8. I don't know if it's better to group in with the DD or by gestational weeks? I'm sorry you've it rough with the morning sickness. Lemonade is a good idea... that actually sounds appealing! Hopefully 2ndTri will give you a nice break!

@momurph - i think i've seen some ladies join both month boards, when in a situation like yours. I guess i was "lucky" my original DD was 1/25, but it'll probably be around 1/3, so it was the same month. Lemonade is amazing right now! a friend of mine who has a 9 month old said she was also addicted to lemonade when pregnant....she thinks the lemons in it is what helps with the nausea...i'm going to pour myself another glass right now!

I noticed you also listed saltines+cheddar. some of the only crackers that i can handle are cheese-its and then those cheddar harvest sun chips!
  • @caseyw8784 good advice re: the BMBs. Re: the lemonade: it's nearly 100 degrees here today. I see a Chik Fil A frozen lemonade in my near future :) Cheese-its and Cheddar Sun Chips would totally save me a step... SOLD!
  • @momurph - i'm not at all jealous of where you live right now, then! today is was in the 80s, but humid, so i stayed inside all day! and i live across the street from the beach, so we usually get some cooler ocean breeze...but a few weeks ago it was flirting with 100! yuck! i would encourage getting all the frozen lemonades that you can carry!
  • *TW* Bad bad news today. No heartbeat, very little fetal tissue. Dr is calling it a miscarriage. *end TW*
  • @krenee124 I am so very sorry you're going through this heartbreak right now. There are no words to make it easier or better, but please know that we're all here to support you. I just wish I could take it all away for you :(
Sending you a huge hug & prayers for you and your DH
  • @krenee124 i am so very sorry that you are going through this..i agree with momurph there are no words for any of us to say to make it better..praying for you with this difficult time..
  • @krenee124 I am so sorry, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending hugs your way.
  • @krenee124 Shit. I am so sorry for your loss. Praying that those closest to you will provide comfort in the coming weeks. It is devastating and painful, but you are not alone.
If you do find yourself looking for support, answers, or just others in a similar situation through TB, the MC and Loss board was a great resource for me.
I will keep you and your DH in my thoughts. Huge hugs to you. xo
