I would like a cleaning service once a week for a month or two. Besides that, we should be getting a new house a year to 18 months after LO is born.
This is what I initially told DH I wanted and will probably bring it up again.

  • @DuchessOfCambridge I want stackable ones too! I've been looking at them since we got married lol. But I'll definitely be looking into getting one to add ...might not be a push gift but Christmas is shortly after

My husband always gets me jewelry. I got diamond earings with DS1 and a beautiful braclet with DS2. Even if I said I didnt want antthing he would still get me a present. Yep...I love him!

  • I wouldn't mind a piece of jewelry since this will probably be our last but I don't NEED or expect anything from DH other than being there and someone bringing me food. I do want a laboring robe for the hospital.
  • ooodalollly We are going with Turf Pros, which I believe is a national company. They were the most competitively priced, had great quality and excellent reviews. It's pricey, not going to lie, but it can lasts up to 20 years with minimal maintenance and no watering. So for 600 sq ft, higher grade premium turf with a pet protectant for $5,600. That included removal of existing grass/shrubs, install, product and the pet treatment. It will be completely installed and I can post a pic tomorrow.

I didn't get one with my first but that could be blamed on ds coming early.  We thought we had time to finish up many loose ends.  If I ask for anything it will probably be a book or a delicious beer.
  • I didn't get one with my others, but with this being our last, I'd like to get something like a ring or necklace with their birthstones, or something similar. I'm thinking I'll pick it out and ask DH to get it for me as a Christmas gift. In the hospital, I just want food!!
  • Also, if you are planning on getting something with a birthstone in it, my advice is to wait until after the baby is born to get it! I've already had 1 born in a completely different month than the due date. Some babies come way early and others come way late!
2 of my babies were born in the month after the were due! And for the record, I preferred the due date months birth stones;)

  • DH won't get me anything. But he totally fell short on my birthday and mothers day this year, so he agreed I can get myself something nice so long as  isn't too lavish.  Concieving this kid was pretty expensive! Our dog ate my good fluevogs so those need replacing. I have been wanting KOR teeth whitening for some time (tetracycline stains), so maybe once I get back down to pre pregnancy weight to motivate...  I either want to hire a plumber to get stuff done so we can finish the master bath which has not been worked on in YEARS (I am keeping these legs crossed until it is done if I must) or I want some Iitalia Taika dinnerware.  I never registered for a set when we got married because there wasn't anything I really liked, but I have loved that pattern since it came out and after 11 years i want to start getting something.

Let us know how it turns out - thinking of doing the same!

DH said he has come up with the "perfect" push present for me. Color me intrigued.

  • I got a Burberry bag with V and I'm trying to decide what to ask for this time. I think another bag since I'm a bag person.

@lancomechica2 another bag person here! Both my MIL and my parents already got me bags. DH is super relieved haha.

I'm not really sure what I want. I feel kind of weird about it, DH ( and everyone else in my family) has been really nice and pampering me over all so a present on top of it seems a bit much. Maybe I'll change my mind once I'm further along? I love the idea of getting something that I can eventually give to my daughter though @froggy994
  • Ah my sweet DH told me yesterday that I could get anything I wanted for a push present this time around as well. Last time he got me a ruby and diamond ring. It was gorgeous and ridiculously expensive. I kind of told him we should save up the money as we will need to buy a bigger house but he said this is from is own special savings. What a sweetheart!

I think a psh present is not a required thing and not every culture follows it. Ours definitely did not but honestly regardless of all things equal it's a woman who endures most of what bringing a baby to the world involves. If your husband or whoever wants to appreciate that by giving something you like or would like ( big or small) I think it's awesome. If it does not happen naturally I sure as hell don't mind asking for it like I did the first time. Once he got what I is meant to be he did it with so much love and appreciation.
  • @MississippiCatfish I care! What did you search? Burberry mothers rings?
  • @08-16-08jms  I misread it  :#  The name of the ring itself is "blueberry" but it's on this website! https://www.melaniecasey.com/blueberry-mini-cluster-ring/

I just searched "mothers ring cluster" on pinterest and it brought up some options.  I'm now obsessed with cluster rings, since I discovered them a few weeks ago:)

  • @MississippiCatfish I found them! Thank you :)
  • @MississippiCatfish I didn't know this was a thing I wanted until now.

  • I told DH about push presents and said I didn't need one, but he surprised me with diamond earrings. :) love them! I don't think a push present is completely necessary but it certainly is a nice gesture from  your partner after you've carried a baby and gone through labor!!!
  • I've been dropping an alarming amount of push present hints.
