Re: UO Thursday 6/22

  • I don't like chocolate. I mean I like chocolate milk and the occasional Reese or brownie (is a brownie considered chocolate) but I hate solid chocolate. Hershey's kisses? No, thank you. Hershey's bar? Uh, No. Dove chocolate? Nadda. :s I don't know why just solid cholocate is a no-go for me.

I have a hard time with essential oils and herbal remedies. I want to be all for them, but I'm just not, especially since I've never found any of them to work for me when I've needed them to.

@jesslardarello :open_mouth: I love chocolate. Though I do prefer a chocolate chip cookie or a brownie to solid chocolate.

I don't miss wine at all. Not even a little bit.

Beer on the other hand... which is odd, because I vastly preferred wine to beer before I got pregnant. Now when I see a glass of wine, I'm like "Meh." But when my husband has a beer, I have intense envy.

I love chocolate but I don't like when it's mixed with peanuts or peanut butter.  Let's keep those separate ok?  SO loves Reeses.  Me...not so much...

ETA that this baby doesn't seem to like chocolate though.  I haven't wanted chocolate since I got pregnant.

  • @DuchessOfCambridge It took me a handful of times at chipotle to fall in love. I think part of it was how much people loooooooove it, I wanted to be contrary. But also because I've realized I only like the burrito bowls, not the burritos.

  • @MississippiCatfish I live really close to one and have had it a bunch of times. I think I liked it before I had actual Mexican food (there is one really good legit place near us) and now Chipotle is ruined.

  • @DuchessOfCambridge People always wanted to order Chipotle for our lunch staff meetings and I just can't get on board.

We had this place in my hometown called "Burrachos" that was similar to Chipotle but made these nachos with amazing queso smothered all over them. So yum. So unhealthy.

  • Tijuana Flats > Chipotle, Moes, Qdoba.
  • I'm meh on Chipotle too. We've only gone a handful of times when we've received coupons for free food. I do like Moe's though.

  • @liz4382 soooo sketchy!!! And the other big MLM EO company, doterra, was created by former young living execs. Not that necessarily makes it bad, but enough reason to read up about some of it.

You gals are crazy.  Chipotle is awesome.  Perhaps because the nearest one is about 2 hours away so I rarely eat there.
  • +1 on not liking Chipotle.  I also don't have the energy or patience for EOs

  • Well as I live in Denver where the first Chipotle was they are everywhere.  I don't love it but I like it enough.
As far as oils my mom is a huge oil fan and always wants me to try oils for everything.  They never seem to work for me.
  • I don't equate Chipotle to real Mexican Food - to me it's Taco Bell with different options. But, the hot salsa and chips are delicious. And some days, you just need to indulge in some super salty chips and salsa.

  • I have had chipotle but prefer Moe's. I always refer to it as a Mexican subway! haha I could eat there everyday. I am from hispanic heritage and I KNOW good Mexican food. Sure, this is not the best Mexican around, but I can depend on our local shop to be fresh and yummy! I craved it with my last pregnancy and ate it last night! By far my favorite thing is the Salsa Verde unless they have the Pineapple one -which is seasonal!

  • Never had Chipotle .
There's rhis place called burrito banditos that I really like. I feel like I never have an UO and it makes me feel unoriginal and very sheep like
  • DH loves Chipotle and my opinion is,Meh, I'll just have chips with a side of guac please.

I've only tried Moe's twice and the only thing I liked was the queso. I'm starting to think maybe I just don't like "fast food" Mexican.
  • Chipotle's not Mexican food... it's just..Chipotle. But they are my favorite for vegetarian options. Moe's tofu is super bland, Qdoba doesn't have a tofu option, but Chipotle's sofritas give me all the heart eyes!!

My only issues with the term push present is that it's a)kind of crass b)insinuates that c section births don't deserve appreciation c) makes me actively think about what I'm planning/hoping/going to do in November. Eeek!

Eta: that being said I will never say no to any kind of gift whether it be a pandora charm, jewelery, flowers, food, a massage, a 30 minute shower, a card, or an a for effort attempt at doing something nice (DH is big on these, he honestly tries his best but just really rarely thinks things through)
  • @RiverSong15 that makes sense! The name is pretty weird.
@bcashaw I could be totally wrong about this but I thought that with some c-sections you do still have to push

@liz4382 yes!! The eos kill me. That being said, I do have some that I use only for diffusing because I enjoy the smell. Eos have developed this weird cult-like following where everything can be cured with coconut and essential oils. No. Just no.
  • I only recently realized this is a UO based on other ladies here.

I...don't like Chipotle. I think it is a fairly bland, substandard burrito. :no_mouth:
    Chipotle is gross and over-cilantro'd

  • @jesslardarello You're alone on that! Haha, Chocolate is everything!

I don't like chipotle, and honestly I don't like any "fast food" Mexican. It's scares me. However I did have a Carne Asada Burrito from the farmers market it its was totally authentic and I've been craving it since.

@ElizabethSchuyler  I wouldn't use EO for my kids butttttt I use Shea Moisture's lavender soap and lotion on DD2 and I love it. It smells SO good and the lotion is just really thick and awesome. I switched to that after all the news of formaldehyde in Johnson & Johnson products. Does it help her sleep? I doubt it but it smells amazing.

  • @RiverSong15 Qdoba's queso sauce is everything!

  • Not a Chipotle fan, tried to be but just no.

Push presents are kinda weird to me, like to each their own but I would rather be pampered During the pregnancy and given some tasty grub after but otherwise meh.

EOs are not a cure all but they def have a place in my home, I am a fan of homeopathic cures but not limited to EOs and even then I know there is a point when it's time for a doctor.

My UO is it's weird to me when people who arent married or heading in that general direction buy a house together... A friend of mine bought a house with her boyfriend but they have zero plans of marriage any time in the near future. Like I know each person has their own beliefs on marriage but it's just weird to me....

This is everything I've ever thought about Chipotle @pawcall. I don't even like their guac, and usually I'm a huge guac fan.
  • I appreciate EOs for the scent only. I have a diffuser but it's just a fancy candle to me.

Also I absolutely hate aggressive sales pitches of any kind. But especially the magic potion kind.
  • I LOVE chipotle!! I've only had it once but I really do love it! However, I am not a fan of real Mexican food.
