I've brought this up a bunch already, but I'm still having stomachaches. It's like a sharp pain in the middle of my abdomen. I don't know why it's happening but it's pretty constant and has been making sleeping hard. I'd be more worried, but our A/S Monday was perfect and the stomachaches have been happening for three or so weeks at this point. Is anyone else going through this? I don't know how to relieve the pain.
@DuchessOfCambridge I'm having stomach aches also, mainly confined to my right side. I am also cramping along my bikini line. I'm wondering if it could be round ligament pain? I think at my last appointment they said my uterus was almost to my navel so maybe it's from all the stretching.
@kissthesky32 I was thinking that, but it isn't relieved by using the bathroom or letting out gas. My OB said not to worry as long as I'm not bleeding, which I'm not but...it hurts. @av2323 I definitely also have RLP but that's usually (for me) a sharp pain that happens if I move too suddenly or sneeze/cough. This is a fairly constant pain.
Sorry for turning down both your suggestions ladies, I appreciate the help!
@liz4382 ooo I would love that but that would mean LO has his foot pressed on something continuously. Which...could be very possible. Maybe I'll ask him to please move, worked at the A/S lol.
@DuchessofCambridge@av2323 I get stomachaches sometimes, often from the center of my stomach under my ribcage, radiating to the right under my ribcage. For me, those are typical gastritis symptoms. This baby apparently loves spicy food, so I'm not surprised I've been getting more stomach problems. You could try eating a really bland diet for a day or two (plain pasta/white rice, applesauce, bananas, plain crackers, dry toast). Avoid spicy foods, fatty foods, acidic foods, and dairy. They tend to be hard on your digestive system. I will say, if the pain gets really bad, upper right quadrant pain is also associated with gallstones. But that is usually accompanied by excruciating, oh-my-god-I'm-being-stabbed kind of pain. But it's worth bringing up at your next appointment if it's really painful and persistent. It'd be really unlikely that either of you have gallstones, but I had them about 8 years ago and had no idea what was going on. So I just wanted to mention it.
@RiverSong15 thanks, I'll try this! The pain isn't thaaaaaaat bad. It's annoying and it hurts, but it's not debilitating at all. What you're describing sounds similar to how I'm feeling, I have pain in the center of my stomach and also under my ribcage (but to the left). Plain pasta tonight it is.
I periodically am getting pressure and my belly will get extra hard for a minute or two. It sort of feels like LO is pushing outward or something. It always makes me feel like I have to pee. Is this normal?

Sounds like Braxton hicks contractions. And totally normal.
Sounds a lot like BH. With DD I had these early on through the rest of pregnancy no matter how much water I drank. It rarely hurt it was more just uncomfortable and my stomach would contract to where it felt like a rock and would pass after a minute or less. I found sitting on an exercise ball helped because it was easy for me to stretch backwards and that seemed to relieve the discomfort.

Is it stomach ache like from food or more muscle pain ? If it's cramping I have it too I've had a lot of uncomfortable tightness and cramping in my diaphragm for weeks now I'm pretty sure it's just from organ movement . Midwife said everything shifts early on up to 4 or 5 cm (nearly 2") and can cause cramping and seemed to think it was normal when I brought it up I have not found a way to get rid of it mostly just eat small meals and I don't sit for long so I don't make it worse light cobra stretches help and my bridges but it's about the time now none of us should be laying on or putting pressure on our belly . If you are experienced at yoga camel pose and upward dog can feel great as front openers If not baby camels are not strenuous and you could try a prenatal yoga class. To help open through the front as so much pressure smoothes upward into your ribs and outward into your core support (Obviously talk to your caregiver before starting any kind of new activity or treatment)
@kissthesky32@maegpie thanks ladies! I was kind of wondering if that's what it was, but as a FTM I had no clue. I told DH I thought I was having BH and he thinks I am crazy and that it's too early, but I did read in one of the million books I have that they can start in the 2nd tri and based off what I am reading here it seems completely possible. I'll probably ask my doc at my appt. next week. I wasn't too worried because they aren't consistent or painful, just ...different feeling I guess.
@DuchessOfCambridge@jess0211 I wouldn't be surprised if you two were having the same issue. LO feels like a brick at times and the pressure is really uncomfortable. I was able to get him or her to move around and up until this week. Now baby does what it wants. I think it's just nonspecific movement, some ligaments stretching, and possibly some BH mixed in.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

I get this too but am pretty sure it's babies sticking out their heads or butts. It also causes my belly to become misshapen in the areas where it hardens, and other areas become deflated.
Oh, and I've felt it get hard on the right side and lump up since before 12 weeks. I remember asking a resident at the NT scan if it was a baby head I was feeling and she said not yet... But it still happens more on the right side where anterior baby b is, and I think having a very thin stomach makes them easier to feel.
@NYTino24 maybe that's it. I do have pain that actually feels like menstrual cramps every so often but that's been going on for a while. This is more of a stabbing pain in the middle of my stomach, sometimes accompanied by a sharp lasting pain under my left rib area. I've cracked a rib there before, maybe it's a combination of BH and organs hurting an already sensitive rib? I'll keep eating bland in case it's gastritis too. It's really annoying that "stomach pain" is so vague and can mean any number of things.
I've tried to "search" this but my TB app is acting stupid this morning so please for give me if this is already posted...maybe I can see it when i get to work!
Anyone having leg cramps at night? I never had them with my other kids but I remember friends talking about them. I've never really had them all all! Its been the past two nights, I wake up with thr extreme pain in my calf. Of course it subsides quickly but then I am awake, again!
The only thing different with my diet or routine is I normally walk about a mile each evening with my family. We have been dealing with this tropical storm and have not walked since Monday. I've had the leg cramps Tues and Wed.
I hope it is somwthing I can "fix" and not just another mysterious pregnancy symptom! Lol
@cottingham3 I had an awful charley horse in the middle of the night last night. I woke poor DH up by saying OW so loud but it helped because he got me to stretch my calf out. This morning my left calf is pretty sore.
@DuchessOfCambridge that is exactly how these were! DH suggested I stand which actually helped it easy quickly, but then it was so sore and I was afraid to go back to sleep for fear it might happen again!
@cottingham3 Not yet this round but I definitely had them with my first. After the fact another mom suggested magnesium supplements to me. So I can't attest to that working or not personally, but I plan to try it if it starts happening again.
@DuchessOfCambridge@cottingham3 I haven't so far during pregnancy but I used to get calf or foot Charlie horses during the night. It took me FAR too long to realize that you need to get out of bed and put weight on your leg to straighten the muscle out! You can do it in bed but it takes much longer and the pain is crazy. If it's your foot, get to a wall and put your foot up against the wall to straighten. Then just be ginger with it getting back into bed position because the muscle can move back out, but in my experience it's rare to get them several times a night. And yes your calf will be sore after - it just had a big workout! Some say it can be low potassium so try to eat a banana or have some quinine (like in tonic water), but I can't remember if this is a scientific finding or wives tale
Weird symptom--has anyone else noticed that they are sweating more?
Not yet, but I get night sweats 3rd tri and they are so crappy. They actually get worse for me for a while after baby comes, too. But at least they go away eventually, I guess. I'm not sure if I sweat more in general, though. Curious to hear what others say.
@MississippiCatfish I had night sweats after the baby came also. My pj's would be damp from them. It scared me the first time it happened. I'm currently hot all the time but haven't noticed an increase in sweat yet.
Still nauseous. And pretty sure this baby is having a growth spurt. But I was slightly nauseous for 8 out of 9 months with my first, and this one was a little more than last time so i shouldn't be so surprised haha also I sweat a bit more when pregnant, especially my feet and hands. I get stomach aches when my abs start giving up. They are just beginning to give up this week stretching and prenatal yoga help me a bunch
I'm already leaking some. Are any other STMs that nursed experiencing this? I BF DD until she was 2 1/2 she is now 4 1/2. I'm just wondering if my body is already producing due to the length of time I nursed. It's not a lot and is clear but I don't remember this happening until later on last time.
@maegpie I'm leaking already. Started around 14 weeks. I only quit nursing about 9 months ago and he nursed till he was nearly 2 so I guess the body just preps sooner for the next one!
