18 + 4 did a comparison of my first belly pic after the positive test and then today and what a change I see.
Love ALLLLLLL these bumps ladies! I'll take a bathroom work pic in a bit and participate for the first time!

@kissthesky32 it's gotten SUPER round and bump like recently. Before it was mainly round with the help of maternity clothes, now I'm all kinds of pregnant without them :-)

@foxaírt While I agree this may not have been the right thread, I do think the response was a bit unfairly harsh. @Nytino24, normally I agree with a lot of what you post and I am not looking to start something because I do recognize that pregnancy is something that we should all expect changes. But until it happens, it’s very much unknown how our bodies or minds will react. We are all a little more hormonal, sensitive and on edge than usual. Being PGAL as well, I get the anxiety and stress that comes with it, but I don’t expect others to necessarily feel the same way or expect them to think pregnancy has to be sunshine and roses either. Foxairts post did not come across as offensive to me, it actually made me more concerned for her personal well-being and how she needs support to get through this, IRL and on here. @NYTino24 Your post, honestly, did make me a little worried about it seeming like the community was shunning her feelings, while you may not have intended that.
foxaírt shared that she was different and I don't think there is anything wrong with it. She didn't say she was resentful of the child growing inside of her, she admitted that her body image has been something she has previously been very cognizant of and it is changing and that is hard. I am sure many woman struggle with this, but society thinks we should all jump for joy because our stomachs are stretches and we are creating a miracle. Yeah, having babies is awesome, but that doesn't mean everyone has to love what it does to their bodies.
Foxairt, I think it is fair to recognize you work in a profession that is very body and image conscious. Just like I always want to put on my best professional demeanor or carry myself in a certain way, you want to look your best as well. Pregnancy changes that, but it doesn’t mean it’s easy to handle. When I had to give presentations or hold meetings while horribly nauseous and half out of it during the early weeks, I felt self-conscious and miserable. I can only imagine that if my profession relied heavily on my appearance and the future of my employability, even after a baby felt threatened, yes, I would be worried and depressed.
While others may not be able to 100% relate or do not approve of that choice, it is not our place to judge or criticize. This is a supportive community that should respect all walks of life and paths through out it. I personally wouldn’t be an exotic dancer (I don’t have the skill nor the body to do it), but I don’t look down on others who are.
I think a simple, “maybe this isn’t the right thread to post the comment” would have sufficed. But that’s just my opinion.
End tangent.
ETA: I fully recognize my post is probably a UO.
This really just wasn't the place. I sort of equate it to the Gender Disappointment thread. Someone who has gone through a loss can easily stay away from that thread, which may bring up horrible feelings since they'd give anything to have either gender. It's not that those who are posting in the gender thread's feelings aren't valid, they should just be shared carefully.
