@Cricket99 Thanks! I suspected, but I didn't have it until second trimester with my son,and I don't quite remember what it was like, lol. It's super weird.
@cricket99 Oh no! It feels like the whole thing is just rigged up there with weird rubber bands, lol.
I keep rolling onto my boobs and hurting myself when I'm trying to get to sleep. At 8:30pm. When it's still light out. I'm so over the first trimester.
I just got my 24 hr urine catch results back and already have a bit too much protein present, so of course I'm freaking out. The doctor called and said they'd be keeping an eye on it but it's not concerning for now, but with DD I didn't do this test until 24ish weeks and I had less than I do now at almost 10 weeks. I didn't get pre-e with her, so now I'm worrying about it this time around. Why is pregnancy so darn stressful
Anybody get the sharp sensation right up the middle of your lady parts?! Not sure if it's classified as RLP but every now and again it happens for a quick 5 seconds and brings me to attention! Our bodies are amazing and yet, do the oddest things!
@schaze I know some women naturally spill protein more so than others not during pregnancy. And if you were even slightly dehydrated it can compound the issue. I had Postpartum Pre-E with our son so I'll be asking for a baseline 24hr catch so we have a guideline should anything occur this pregnancy. I'll check in with you when that happens. Try not to worry (so much easier said than done)!
@myorke24 thanks for the reassurance! I've made so many lifestyle changes to try to bring my BP down so it's just discouraging that it didn't make a difference. And as for your other post, sounds like lightning crotch to me!
@KatieEl I wanted one! Or to deliver at the free-standing birth center at least. Unfortunately I have FVL and need to be on blood thinners so I can't. I could have those same midwives deliver in hospital, but they are out of network with my insurance on top of everything else. Taking it as a sign to stay put.
@schaze Ugh. That’s stressful but regardless it is good that
you are being monitored etc. Don’t freak out! Hugs. My friend had pre-e with
both pregnancies and while an added stress, all was well!
@KatieEl No, I am not. I hilariously love all of the nurse
attention etc and the stay after in the hospital, BUT I really admire people
who do it and think there is something so great and natural about it!
@EmilyLove25 haha I enjoy all the attention at the hospital (and no toddler or DH bugging me for a few days post baby), I just went too fast last time to feel comfortable trying to make it there again!

Hi all, I am having some red bleeding and mild cramping happening right now, my OB moved my ultrasound up from next Wednesday to tomorrow morning, but tonight is going to be agony. Would love to have some positive thoughts sent my way.

@auntieraindrop. Hey! Our tiny human also had a high fetal heart rate. At 7w5 days it was 190bmp. No one seemed concerned! Even so, it is still lingering in the back of my head. I am tempted to try a Doppler at home now that I am ten weeks. I have read that the heart rate peaks around 8-9 weeks and then drops off.
ETA: I had no morning sickness with DD and it just started yesterday. I'm not as far a long as most of you but I'm not sure how I'm going to function. I haven't had a meal since 10 am bc smells are triggers, really any smell. I am praying this is a fluke and will not last all of 1st trimester.
@schaze if this makes you feel any better. My friend had her first baby at 35 weeks via emergency c section because she came down with HELPP syndrome. It was a big scary deal. She had her second pregnancy, one scare where she required extra monitoring but ended up having a med free VBAC and a very healthy baby and delivery. All that to say, I have seen with my own eyes a very scary pregnancy and the next time although high risk, very healthy 2nd pregnancy. Don't give up hope.
@labgrand2012 thinking about. Positive vibes for tomorrow's scan.
@schaze sorry the 24 hour urine was off. I did end up with Pre-E last time. I know how scary it can be. But it's a very good thing they are gonna keep a good eye on you and the baby.
@KatieEl I thought about it. My first birth was literally picture perfect, so I know that birth can be chill and go smoothly.
Ultimately, I concluded that it would be inconsiderate to our roommate and our neighbors who share the living room wall.
Our hospital's birth center is reportedly really nice, and I'm hoping that by going with a midwife we can have a pretty hands off birth there. Also, to be honest, while I want to try to go unmedicated this time around, I also want the option to get an epidural if I get there and realize that it's not the right option for me. My epidural with my son was great -- but I do wanna see how it can go the other way.
@schaze I'm feeling the same way. I had a healthy pregnancy last time but got induced at 38w because my BP shot up randomly at my 38w appt. Now I have HBP and my 1hr glucose I already did was high, so I'm on a diet and checking my BP and glucose all day. I had told myself my 2nd pregnancy I'd be healthier but, things don't always go as planned. Personally, I get angry at my body for not working the way it's supposed to and I've been trying to focus on being grateful for modern medicine because me and LO are being taken care of. It will be worth it in January ❤️
@labgrand2012 sending lots and lots of positive thoughts and prayers your way. I had some spotting last week and those 2 days I was just a ball of nerves. FX so hard for you ❤
@labgrand2012 Thinking of you and praying for you! Keep us updated!
@KatieEl I actually planned a homebirth with DS but ended up in the hospital. Nothing major or scary, I just got exhausted. I was at 6cm from 6am - 6pm, had been up all 1 night and most the previous one, ect. I love love love having a midwife! She was super awesome. I'm Christian and she was too so she prayed over me and I found that super comforting. Plus just having her there the whole time. I went to the hospital, had an epidural and pitocin and it was still 6 hours until he was born. I'd hate to think how much longer it would have been without that! I'm a little torn on what to do this time but I'm thinking I'll just do the hospital. Here in WA state, midwives who deliver at home can't deliver in the hospital. Super crushing to me!
Hey Ladies, thank you so much for all the love. It means a lot. This mornings blood was brown, so I was feeling better before my scan. The baby has a heart beat but is measuring a week behind. After my scan I had more bleeding and clots this time so called the nurse. The doctor did not see anything that would be causing the bleeding and with the baby measuring behind they said it could be the start of a miscarriage, but it was good that the baby had a hear beat. I will be going in on Monday and Wednesday to get my blood drawn to see if my levels are going up so it is going to be more waiting. I am trying to stay positive knowing that I do have longer than the standard 28 day cycle and did ovulate later than CD 14.

Hang in there @labgrand2012! Playing the waiting game is stressful, try to find little ways to relax. I hope all turns out well with your blood draws next week! <hugs>

I have a yeast infection. Has anyone taken diflucan while pregnant? I've read mixed things on google about it being safe during pregnancy. It says Monistat is safe but I hate Monistat! Obviously I'll take what my doctor tells me to when I call tomorrow but just wondering what you took?
