I have a really silly question that is driving my Hubby mad! I keep having very dull (but frequent) cramps. Today I also starting having weird kind of pulling pains either side of my where my ovaries would be.
Does se anyone else have this? Is this normal? Sorry for being so silly .... am just terrified!
@elphieschuller The pulling pains definitely sound like round ligament pain. I've had it a few times already and I'm only 6 weeks. This is also second baby though, so apparently that starts earlier. I also get a lot of cramps from gas pains... it's embarrassing, but totally normal. If there's no blood, try not to worry. Your body is changing quickly down there and the fact that you can feel it all just means that you're in tune with your body, which is good!
@Elphieschuller I agree with what Cricket said about round ligament pain. You know your body best, if you are concerned it never hurts to call your OBGYN's nurse line to double check!

I would pretty much assume from here on out that any pelvic sensation that isn't very painful is normal. Between digestive issues, uterine growth, round ligaments, and all the shifting and changing there's just a lot going on down there, and it's very rarely cause for concern. Obviously talk to your doctor if you're worried or in pain, but try not to worry about every little sensation. A few days ago I would have sworn I was feeling movement. I know that's completely impossible, but it felt just like it and I have no idea WTF it was. Just another example of the weirdness of being pregnant.

I'm beyond tired today. I was trying to watch a show while my son took a nap and my eyes felt so heavy I had to lay down. I should have laid down as soon as LO went down because that felt so nice
I had some tan spotting yesterday and it's back today. I was a tad bit achy yesterday but that isn't happening today. My sore boobs have returned and definitely feel bigger, and I picked up baby's heartbeat with the doppler yesterday and this afternoon. I'll probably go ahead and call my OB tomorrow, just to let them know because I have an US on Friday. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, so I was hoping that I would avoid nonsense like this.
I've been having my normal aversion to water so I've been drinking watered down juice, some soda and lemonade. Yesterday I had what I swear was Braxton hicks. I got then around 20 weeks with DD2 but I didn't think they came in early pregnancy. I know dehydration makes them worse, but I didn't think I was dehydrated. I've been monitoring my pee...
@ready4theparty Try watered down Gatorade. It will help balance out your electrolytes and has less sugar than some of your other options. Should definitely help with some of the cramping sensations.
@Ready4theParty I had what I would've sworn were BH yesterday, too! I hadn't been drinking enough water so once I downed a glass I felt better. I'm only 9+4, I didn't know they could start this early, but it's certainly what they felt like.
@Cricket99 I appreciate the Gatorade thought, I will try that. I've been trying to sneak water in when I can. It's just weird it's like I can taste the particles (even if it's filtered). This only happens when I am pregnant. I know I sound like a nut.
@RC1014 It's all based on insurance provider/OB Team I believe! We are a military family and I've had one so far that was inprocessing and medical history. Our first look at this baby is Friday and I'll be nearly 11 weeks. Hang in there! ❤
I'm going on day 3 of having diarrhea. Is this normal? I thought it was after eating Taco Bell 3 days ago but now I'm wondering if this is a pregnancy issue.. sorry TMI! It's not very pleasant. I don't think I'm dehydrated because I'm keeping up with my usual water intake but maybe I need a little more
@sbishop426 I definitely deal with this on and off in pregnancy, especially the first tri. I try to remember that it is slightly better than serious constipation... also I had TB for lunch and immediately regretted it (as always, lol). I do think more water is a good idea--or even Gatorade! FX it slows up!
@Ready4theParty you're not a nut! I'm the same way. I can't stand just plain water when I'm pregnant. It's got a weird taste. So to the watered down Gatorade I go!
@RC1014 my best friend didn't get her first appointment until 12 weeks and her first us wasn't until 16 weeks! She still doesn't understand how I got an us at 8 weeks, but we just decided it's just the difference in the way our doctors do things
Posting this form ultrasound section** I went to my first ultrasound today and I got to see a heartbeat! I thought I was 8w1d but the tech measured me at 6w4d. I got my BFP May 19 but by the new date, implantation would have happened May 20. Is this even possible? By looking at the ultrasound, I feel like the tech didn't measure all the way but also, I didn't go to sonography school. Has this happened to anyone else?
@agalvarado How confusing. I have no clue, can you get a second opinion from another Dr? I think someone on here is an ultrasound tech, so maybe she can help.
I have a random, not so serious question. My nausea is awful almost 24/7, and sour candies temporarily make me feel better (like sour gummy bears, worms, etc)... But the aftertaste of the sugar in the candy is horrible tasting to me right now. So I end up eating more to get that taste out lol and the cycle starts all over. Any tips or suggestions on something else to eat that has the yummy sourness but not the aftertaste?

Measurements can be way off, so if they weren't worried try not to worry yourself. I once had a tech tell me in a concerned voice that I was over a week behind (IVF, so dates weren't in doubt), then she shifted the wand and suddenly I was a day ahead. It's a difference of millimeters at this stage.

@fishee333 I've tried lemonade diluted with water per other posters' recommendations and it has been a huge win. The tart and sour taste helps with my nausea plus I am more hydrated! I do have a bit of an aftertaste but just keep drinking it and diluting more throughout the day so I don't overdo it on calories. Drinking through a straw oddly helps the nausea part for me.
@agalvarado I am definitely not an expert, but I looked at your US photo and saw what you saw... it looked like she didn't measure a portion of the bean. 134 is a good HB too! I wonder if there is some website where you can posts US and get second opinions! Try not to stress!
@RC1014 I don't have my appt until almost 12 weeks (according to BFP date and LMP date) due to preference and seeing a new OB in all that was the earliest they had. Last time I went it was 5 weeks and suuuuper early but I jumped the gun in several ways. I'm excited but I feel more grounded this time around and have a good feeling about it. Good luck at your appt!
@RC1014, I'll be 9+3 when I have my first appointment, and that's a bit early because of the July 4th holiday. It's just the way my office runs. And my first appointment is with a nurse practitioner, not my OB.
I just went to the restroom and (sorry if tmi) my underwear were all wet like I peed my pants. Promptly went back to my desk and called the nurses line. Never had anything like this the first time around. Impatiently waiting a call back.
At my US the heartrate was really high. From what I've read it looks like it was higher than the normal range (188 bpm). My doctor was not AT ALL concerned, and said baby was probably just being active. But I haven't seen ANYONE else whose heartrate was so high. 7w + 3d on the day of the US. It gets me kind of concerned.
@auntieraindrop ours was 181 at 9w2d, which was crazy because it was 121 at 6w5d and I was worried it was too low. I wouldn't worry too much about it (or at least I'm trying not to!) ☺
@burnsmommy27 I've been leaking like crazy and I hate it. I just attributed it to extra discharge which my dr said was normal. This happened in my last pregnancy too. I specifically remember because prior to pregnancy I always went commando but could no longer do it due to the discharge. #dontjudgeme
@CANTW82BMOM yeah the nurse pretty much said it's too early to be fluid so just put on a panty liner. Oh the joys, lol. No judgement here, you do you girl.
@livingoffpbjs I definitely used it with DD (when I still cared about my appearance). I used St. Tropez and she was perfectly fine! I can't remember if I cleared it with my OBGYN or not, oddly.
@auntieraindrop At our ultrasound (8w3d) the heartrate was in the 170's and we were told it's all good and normal. I wouldn't be worried if your doctor isn't.
I know some second (and more) time mom's have referenced experience RLP earlier than the first. Would this account for a weird "ugh my uterus is going to fall out the front of my pelvis" feeling? It's not cramping and it's not exactly a pain, just sort of uncomfortable. I'm trying to figure out if I twisted this area funny somehow or if it's just my uterus doing it's thing.
