Thank you "friends" for the motivation! I want to be a relevant part of this board, sometimes I just feel like I'm not one of the "cool kids". I hope this doesn't sound like a pity party, and I'm glad others feel the same way!
@08-16-08jms@ArtificialRed I've been feeling the same in some threads. My brain is so mushy these days and I keep mixing things and people up too.
Agreed. I go days without posting but try to keep up, which sometimes is hard, but them sometimes post a lot based on what I'm thinking. Anyone who posts even periodically I don't consider a lurker!
Definitely me. So cool I don't even post at all some days.
In all seriousness, we definitely have some super considerate posters who always chime in with empathy and can keep track of who has what going on with them. I'm sure we all know these ladies and love them for their efforts.
@ArtificialRed@08-16-08jms@car1a +1 to what @MississippiCatfish said, random thoughts or just how you're feeling etc are definitely welcome . For what it's worth, I recognize you all and consider you regulars.
My feelings: There is a pile of laundry that needs to be folded on my bed before I can get into it. I did this on purpose, but now I am sad. I'm extra exhausted tonight but DH's stomach is bothering him and he rarely complains about not feeling well so I took over cleaning up after dinner too. Sooooo tired.
@ShePersisted I want to know who the cool kids are too!

One, thanks, it is nice to know that I'm at least somewhat of a regular. And more importantly, I do the exact same thing with my laundry sometimes. Unfortunately I'm not very responsible so a lot of time it gets dumped on my closet floor
@ShePersisted@DuchessOfCambridge pretty sure eyoubtwo are both part of the cool kids crowd. That and anyone else that my autocorrect recognizes before the bump prompts their screen name. Also "I did this on purpose but now I am sad" pretty much sums up me and any decision I make regarding any type of chore.
I am guilty of leaving the clean laundry hanging in the laundry room in the basement. Then I'll have to dart down there in my undies lol. I just can't wait to have three kids worth of clothes to carry and put away in addition to my own lol
I folded our laundry and put it all away. I also finished the book I was reading today (it was really bad). I feel extremely accomplished. Anddd time to read my new book/pass out.
I had put a load of clean laundry on our bed to fold before going to sleep. I just moved it to the love seat in our room and I'm waiting for DH to do it bc he was out past 11 last night with friends. Also, I have him "permission" to go but I still felt grumpy about it when I was going to bed.
My husband doesn't mind doing laundry and is better at it than I am. I'd say we're still around 50/50, because I'm home a lot more, but I'm very guilty of leaving it for a few days so he'll do it
When I say "better," I mean that I am guilty of frequently forgetting kleenex in pockets, don't fold things "properly" (except sheets and towels - how does he always get that wrong?), and he just generally doesn't let it sit for days like me...
@MississippiCatfish DH physically does the laundry (more of a production for us since we don't have a washer/dryer in our actual apartment) and I fold. It works for us because I find having to go back and forth to the laundry room to be a nuisance and I think DH folds things wrong so he'd just prefer I fold them
I'm great at doing laundry. But I am known to re-dry to unwrinkle the clothes about a dozen times in my own anticipation of being ready to bring the clothes back upstairs.....
Our laundry room is downstairs, and all the bedrooms and linen closet are upstairs. We each have our own clean hamper in the laundry room so everything at least gets sorted, folded, or hung up right out of the dryer. I'm the only one that does laundry but DH is the one who regularly takes things back upstairs (his clothes and all the towels) DS and I generally live out of our hampers in the laundry room lol
I do the bulk of the laundry but I'm really bad at it so my husband sometimes starts a few loads himself.
I don't separate or empty pockets, I usually forget I'm doing laundry and leave it sitting for awhile, and I always wait to fold until pretty much all of our clothes are sitting, clean but wadded, in laundry baskets all over the play room.
But when I finally get to the folding and putting away part I'm super anal about it.
DH does a lot of the laundry but simply because he "doesn't want me to touch any chemicals" when pregnant. I do the folding. I'd fight him on it, but nahhhh.
I do all the laundry for our house simply because I'm home and it's easier to just have one person do it then to be asking "what stage is this?" all the time. DH and I have our own basket, and the boys have their own basket, so our laundry and the kid's laundry are separate and I do them in separate loads, saves me time on sorting. No one in the house irons, I think we have one in the house somewhere, but it has never been used on clothing. I'm not sure what we are going to do with a 3rd kiddo in the house though. The boy's laundry basket isn't very large and it fills up with just the two boys. Little girl is going to have her own room, so maybe another small basket to avoid walking? Not sure yet.
I think I need to let my bf take over laundry duty for awhile. On multiple occasions lately I've loaded the washer, thrown in soap, started it and walked away without shutting the lid
@ooodalollly right? They may have gotten me thinking oh they're just exaggerating how small their diets really are. And then she says she only ate five times during her first pregnancy. YOU ARE A LIAR.
@BayCamp and by the looks of them, these people are clearly NOT starving. Which Breatharianism seems to promote. But come on, I just had two bagels and a nice helping of chips and guac for lunch. You did not eat only 5 times.
This probably counts as random - I've re-emerged from the rock I've been living under. My reglan ran out, and the nurse told me to just "make do" without it since I "shouldn't really be so sick anymore" - I think the dehydration contributed to several back to back migraines, and I have just had a miserable couple of weeks.
I saw a new doctor in the practice who Rx'd the reglan again, recommended I try magnesium to try reducing headaches, and Rx'd some pain meds for both the unbearable migraines and the awful back pain. She also gave me some compression sleeves for my calves which are swelling and painful already. I'm super hopeful that this will be something of a turning point.

@mparm91 haha that sounds like something I would do! @DuchessOfCambridge people are ridiculous and printing articles like that is dangerous. Some people would totally buy it and starve themselves. Ugh . Unfortunately I have actually heard of breatharians before, it's a real thing people say they do. @ariasbabyblog how good are you at complaining? I think that plays a factor in determining whether you are ready to attempt a man cold
I saw the article about the couple not eating and I call BS.
I'm super tired and nervous about DS's tonsillectomy consultation in a half hour. I'm also frustrated that the ex hasn't said anything about seeing DS for Father's Day. At least DS half expected it and opted not to get/make him anything. He's far too wise for 6 yrs old...and it's a shame he's had to learn these things so young.
When did you first take your kids to the movies? Thinking of taking a Cars obsessed DS to the new Cars 3 sometime in the future. We've been doing a family movie night at home the past couple months and he's been great but it's at home. I also got a Groupon.
Not until he was 5 1/2, we saw Finding Dory. He's been to I think two other movies since then and his behavior is really still pretty questionable. But i don't think that's typical, I think normally younger kids than he is do just fine.

I am notorious for dumping laundry on the bed only to throw it back in the basket and put it away days later. DH does dishes so I do laundry. Also definitely understand that "not one of the cool kids thing" I lurking all the time but don't always post, and even when I do I am like, "huh are they gonna judge me?!" But then I remember I will probably never meet most if any of you in real life so eh whatever
I basically consider anyone whose sn I recognize as a regualr a "cool kid". Maybe we should make a list of the cool kids. Those are the ones I would be comfortable having in a private FB group haha.
@pawcall did they recommend a specific magnesium supplement? Natural Calm is something you can get on Amazon and it mixes in with juice or water. It's what my midwives recommended. Doesn't taste awful either, but be warned any magnesium supplement can act as a laxative until your body adjusts.
