Girls who gone on to IVF path, did you take a break before starting the treatment? My office does FET cycles only and if I take one cycle off, transfer wont happen until 3 months.
@llky Sorry to hear about your bfn. I didn't take a break after my cancelled IUI and started the process right away for IVF. Good luck to you! Have you looked into other clinic around your area to check for prices for IVF?
I'm sorry about the bfn @Ilky. I didn't purposely take a break from IUI to IVF, it just worked out that way with the timing. I think there was about 5 weeks in between, but you have to do whatever is best for you. I've now done 3 IVF's in 4.5 months.
@nim81 the prices are very similar for all known/good doctors in my area. Just outrageously expensive. For some reason (havent talked to the doctor yet but know from other people who have gone through him) he doesnt do fresh cycle. So, taking one month break, another month retrieval and another month transfer, it will be already end of August by the time the embryo is transferred. I know I already wasted years trying natural and with IUI but I'm so frustrated. Maybe, I do really need to take the month off and try to relax. This whole thing took over my life and I'm suffocating
@llky I know the feeling. I have been trying since 2009. Yeah you should take a month off and try to relax. Maybe get a massage to help with relaxation.
Got my BFP, but the hcg is low at 9.91. I feel like it's hanging on by a thread, but it's there for now. This happened in our first cycle. It bumped up a little then dropped and turned to a chemical. So I'm not holding my breath, but still happy to see the BFP.
We will retest on Wednesday and hope it doubles this time. My RE's office said they are "cautiously optimistic." Where this was a timed cycle, it's harder to judge the exact timing versus an IUI or IVF cycle. So they are hoping I'm just getting started and that it will pick up and double, but they did caution that it's low and we need to keep an eye on it.
@Ilky So sorry!!! ((hugs)) My office is the same way, they will only do FET after PSG testing. Dr said it would be 2 1/2 - 3 month process. Honestly, I am happy I took this month off to give myself / body a break. I still stress a little over everything...still the unknown being we meet with the financial lady this week to discuss options. Taking a break away from meds and appts has been helpful. Depending on when we get started, we maybe back on the same schedule

I'm sorry to hear @Ilky that is hard to deal with. I might consider going straight from IUI to IVF depending on how your body is feeling. Taking a month off to relax in between sounds good, but I know I might not be able to relax at all. Only you can know your body and what you are up to physically and emotionally but I might just go for it!
I'm struggling in the 2WW at 6dpiui and trying not to symptom spot, which of course I always do. I think I still have the trigger shot in my system and it is giving me some side effects like cramps and bloating. Luckily it is a busy week at work so I'm hoping it will keep me as distracted as possible.
13DPIUI go for beta thursday. Last 3 days I've had cramping like ovulation cramps tho and I feel so bloated, lower back pain. I can't even button my jeans that I wore last week. No spotting. I'm not testing trying to stay strong till Thursday.
@Labluver2 FX for you!!! I hope this your month of good news

Well it's a bfn for me. We are taking the next month off and either considering 1 more iui or possibly straight to IVF but have to see the costs of it as it will be out of pocket.
@bpietronicco so sorry for the BFN. If this cycle is a bfn I will also be taking next cyle off. IVF isn't an option for me financially so I'll do as many IUIs as my Dr will allow. I feel like the odds are against me being 38 and low reserves. I'm hopeful but realistic that it may not happen for me. I'm trying to prepare myself for that emotionally.
Did a couple tests at home tonight to prepare myself for tomorrow's second beta. I should have waited until the first am urine tomorrow, but mornings are crazy hectic around here. The BFP brand showed clear lines - still a little light - but there was no question that it was positive and it was darker than the one I did on the 11th. I also did a dollar store test which had a very very faint squinter I think. That one was a little questionable and I don't know how accurate those ones are.
Trying to not get my hopes up, but I'm hoping that my hcg is doubling ok. I'll know after tomorrow's blood test. Really hoping it's not another chemical. FX!
I'm pretty sure I'm out started spotting this morning along with AF type cramps. Debating if I should even go for my beta tomorrow. I guess I wait to see if it gets heavier.
As suspected, the hcg hasn't doubled but it did increase some. I went from 9.91 to 13.89. I'm scheduled to test again Friday.
The RE's office said depending on the results, they may have to do an ultrasound and figure out what the next step is if it doesn't start doubling. I'm trying to hang on to hope, but it's tough especially since this is mimicking the first cycle that ended as a CP.
@Labluver2 - I am sorry you're having spotting and AF symptoms.
@katherind - I am so sorry your betas aren't doubling, but I'm glad they were going up. Everything crossed that Friday will bring good news and your LO is just a slow grower starting out. Thinking of you.

Sorry @ katherind I hope things turn around for you.
AFM, I had my first ultrasound yesterday at 7 weeks+1 day. The little sprout had a heartbeat of 129 and measured 9.94 in length. We were ecstatic.
Then hours later I started spontaneously bleeding. Like a rush of blood that flooded my panty liner and then some. I passed two large clots. I called my clinic immediately. Since my bleeding was slowing and I had no cramps, they said to come back in the morning. So I'm headed over there in a couple of hours.
My nurse made it sound like this could possibly be a hematoma and that even large quantities of blood and large clots could be "normal." Some how I am holding hope that everything is okay, but I'm terrified that this is over and our little sprout is gone.
@sugarbreak Fx that it is just an SCH in a location that is not affecting the baby. I have been in your shoes exactly and the ups and downs and wait and worry are just exhausting. Thinking of you and hoping for the best.
AFM, BFN this morning @ 12/13 dpo (I think I O'd during the night). Not surprising but still sucks. On to IUI #4 I guess. Still not sure that we can go down the IVF road so the next one or two cycles of IUI are probably our last treatments and then we have to figure out some way to move on with life.

Everything is ok, thank goodness. But my nerves are FRIED. Looks like I have a subchorionic hematoma. They saw a 1cm clot on the scan. Whatever I passed yesterday was probably one too. I've been suspecting SCH and while I wish I didn't have it, it's nice to have some reassurance that most people go on to deliver their babies.
Doc said not to be surprised if I have more episodes of bleeding and clots. It could happen again and then clear up, or could continue throughout the pregnancy. Hopefully it resolves soon!

@katherind I'll probably test again tomorrow or saturday morning just to make sure before I stop taking the progesterone. I'm not holding out much hope though.
@dmo1371 Thank you. I can/do talk to DH and he's pretty good at listening. I know the miscarriage really hurt him too but I don't know if it's quite as raw for him still as it is for me. And he's someone who gets overwhelmed fairly easily so I don't like to show too much emotion or else he'll say something stupid (but with good intentions) like "I think this is too hard on you, let's just stop and move on" which is the last thing I want to hear. He tries but is generally pretty clueless. I think I will spend some time working in the garden this weekend and just sob to my flowers lol.

I'm officially in the TWW. Test date will be June 30th if I can hold out that long. I'm actually looking forward to the TWW this time. This cycle has been rough. My meds made me super sick this time and my trigger made symptoms worse. I have horrible ovulation pains right now too. I'm hoping all of this is just proof that everything is working.
One funny thing that the medical assistant who was checking me in said....we were going over everything and I told her I knew the routine since this was the third round. She asked if insurance covers everything. I said No just my ultrasound. Her response was prefect. And I quote, "girl that's messed up."
My third beta came back at 20.81. So we are still not doubling, but are still slowly increasing. I'm scheduled for a fourth beta on Monday.
The nurse keeps giving me the "we're cautiously optimistic, but it's probably not viable" line. That's probably the most confusing statement anyone could ever give.
Has anyone else ever run into a situation like this with really low hcg just creeping along?
I'm right at the end of week 4 going into week 5. The charts I've seen show me hanging on by a thread with the levels. However, I know that if they aren't doubling, it's not a great sign. I'm so frustrated right now that I just want them to either start doubling or drop all together. This slow increase is driving me batty.
@katherind ill be praying for you!! Keep the faith..i know its hard, but maybe it was a late implanter?? @J1006 glad you are joining..ive been lurking as ill soon be on this board ..next week will be my transfer!!

@tosh24 - I am so sorry you're having a hard time with your due date from your miscarriage coming up. I know that is so incredibly hard. Can you talk to/grieve with DH tonight? Thinking of you.

My Rainbow Baby Boy born 03Jan2019
