Re: June TWW

  • Hi! I'll join in! I had a FET of a 6-day embie on 5/30.  My beta is scheduled for 6/9.  The past two days have been so long, I don't know how I am going to make it.  The urge to pee is real!

  • @afrax02 How exciting!! Best of luck to you! I know how you feel, I always tell myself no POAS and I always give in! Least with FET you don't have to endure the full TWW :)

  • @kristimh80 Thank you! Yes, I am telling myself that I will wait until Monday morning but we'll see if I can hold out!

  • Figured now I'm officially in the June TWW!!! Today the Dr did it and not the nurse like last time. My husband had 80 million and 99.9 percent mobility after the wash!!! I'm pretty sure im ovulating as I was having normal ovulation pain this morning. I go in next Thursday for progesterone and 6/15for beta. I'll hold out this time and prob test the morning before. My uterus lining was thicker this time at 9 last time he said it was a little on the thin side. Hoping these 2 weeks go by fast. Monday is my birthday and this would be the best birthday present ever!!!
  • @Labluver2 FX for you!!! Sounds like everything this cycle all around has been really good to you!

  • Hi everyone,
I'm new at posting but my beta is June 10th and I am freaking out. I can't sit still, I know I'm not suppose to poas but I did the line is really faint but it's there. I also keep testing the ovulation stick and the lines are dark. I'm confused and nervous...

Hi Everyone! I triggered on Thursday night and had b2b IUIs - one Friday and one today. I start my progesterone tomorrow (200mg 2x day). DH had his best counts ever this cycle (8.4 million and 15.4 million post wash) but I only had one mature follie which was disappointing (although it's been the biggest follie I've had yet at 24 mm at trigger). Hoping third time's a charm. I ran out of internet cheapies so I can't POAS obsessively this cycle. I'll probably grab some from the dollar store as I get closer to my beta which is scheduled for June 19th (which is 16 dpo because 14dpo falls on a weekend).

  • Hi everyone, I am also currently in the TWW. My transfer was on 5/31 and my beta is on the 12th. For my last FET, a CP:( , I POAS starting on day 7 and got a faint positive. I will probably wait until day 7 again to test but I transferred two embryos this time so maybe I will test on day 6. When is everyone else going to test?
  • I'll join here too. I had my first FET on June 2 with a beta on June 12. I'm so nervous!! I'll probably test Friday. good luck ladies!

    Thank you @dmo1371!

@kmoore6886 so sorry about your CP with your last FET. I can only imagine how difficult that must be to go through after everything that goes into an IVF cycle. Hoping you get your take home baby this cycle!

Who here tests out their trigger? I only take a 2500 IU trigger but each month I've tested it out it always shows up until 12dpo (or 13-14 dp trigger) which sucks! My body must metabolize HCG really slowly. So basically I test for the fun of it but I can't really ever trust my results.....

@tosh24  I test out my trigger.  I'm on 10000 IU and it's usually out of my system after a week.  I just want to make sure that if I do get a BFP, it's not just lingering trigger shot.
  • @tosh24 thank you for your kind words! I hope you get your take home baby/babies too!!!  :)
  • Finally in week 2. This TWW is dragging so bad. I plan on waiting until at least Thursday before i start testing. I do have a meeting with my RE Tuesday to discuss our options if this TI cycle doesn't work out.

How's the TWW going for everyone else?

  • The TWW is going by so slow. I am analyzing every cramp and sensation, hoping it is implantation and not just side effects of the estrogen and progesterone! Today I started feeling achy where my ovaries are, has anyone else experienced this?
  • @katherind Hope Tuesday goes well for you!! I'm meeting with my RE Friday for a consult for the same thing. Luckily had planned to take this cycle off because she wanted to meet I did anything else  :# Hopefully this cycle will go well for you and you won't need anything "new". :)

  • Ugh it's only been 5 days lol. The day of iui I'm pretty sure I ovulated as I had really bad pain that day. Yesterday I had some rusty colored spotting that lasted a few hours. I'm also existed and my boobs were so sesitive yesterday and still sore today. I'm hoping all this is good news but as we all know it could be the hormones and every cycle symptoms are different so we just wait ugh!!!!
  • Hi ladies!!! Officially in the tww just had my iui and my RE will test on 6/21 but I'm sure I'll poas 6/18. Fx this is the month for all of us
  • IlkyIlky member
This time tww is not so bad, maybe I'm dealing with the stupid bartholin cyst thats why. Also have been reading tons of exciting books, which helps me to not think about anything else. Beta is on Friday. I've been having ovary/uterus cramps on and off last 3 days and I'm not on progesterone. I hope thats a good sign but I think I had the same thing before. We'll see.

    Who is testing soon?
  • tosh24tosh24 member
@J1006 Ugh I wish mine was out that quickly! I basically just test it out and hope the line eventually gets darker instead of lighter since it never really actually goes away, but alas....maybe this cycle it will. Here's to hoping.

  • I met with my RE this afternoon. She said this third cycle seems to be going much better than the first two. I responded quicker to the meds & in a shorter time frame. So she seemed pretty happy with that and is hopeful.

We also discussed options for going forward if this one doesn't work. We went over both IUI and IVF. I think we're going to elect three tries of IUI and not pursue IVF.

She had some concerns that IVF may actually not work out well for me since my ovaries are really hard to find on ultrasound. I also take a really long time at crazy high doses of meds to respond and usually only get two to three follicles. So she's nervous that they may see a low response and/or have difficulty with egg retrieval. So that was eye opening. She says we are certainly able to try, but gave the warning that it could be a difficult process. If it weren't for that, she would have absolutely recommended IVF as the next option. She'd rather see us try IUI first.

DH and I have been very "on the fence" about IVF anyway and this kind of reaffirms that it's not a direction we will likely take. I'm waiting for him to get home to discuss, but I think he'll agree that if three rounds of IUI doesn't work, that we'll likely stop trying. That would be six attempts total (three TI & three IUI), and I think we'd be satisfied that we've given it a true try.

The TI cycle has been pretty difficult for my DH, so I'm hoping IUI would alleviate some of that stress too.

  • @katherind FX for you that the IUI process works for you!! I'm happy for you that your RE is very honest and upfront about everything. IUI's for me have been so much less stressful than worrying about TI timing. I'll be meeting Friday with my RE to discuss our next steps. Figuring she'll suggest maybe 1 more IUI and we'll talk about IVF as well. What meds have you been on for IUI's? I know I didn't respond well with Femara & Follistim combo, but with just Follistim I did 100 times better.

  • HI how's everyone doing in the tww. I swear this is the slowest 2 weeks ever. Last one kinda went fast but this time it's dragging. I go tomorrow for my progesterone I hope it's high like last time so I don't need to take supplemnts.only thing I'm feeling is really tired I've been asleep by 830 every night and I'm still tired when I wake up I had that last time too and my boobs are kinda sore not horrible tho. Other than that I feel perfectly normal. My beta is next Thursday so I may test Wed morning next weeek. My husband said I should just wait til my beta but I like to prepare myself. He keeps telling me to think I'm pregnant bc if I stay positive it will happen. Ugh men think it's so easy.
  • @bpietronicco those are great numbers I too had 2 follies on one side and my husband had the numbers as yours fx this is our cycle. This is my second IUI. My beta is the 15th!!!

I'm 12 dpiui today and tested this morning. BFN! I'm so sad I dont know what to do. I know you are not out until the witch shows her ugly face but I cant help but think we'll have to move on to IVF. :(

Our RE was very confident that clomid+iui would work, so my husband thinks that we should see another doctor if we move forward with ivf. I'm so bummed, I really don't want to do ivf but on the other hand i really want to have a baby so i feel like I'm trapped :(
  • @llky it may just be too soon. Last time I tested at 12dpiui and my re told me that was to soon to test. Hopefully that's the case. When is your Beta?
  • @Ilky It could be very early, you can implant between CD 6 - 12 and if so it wouldn't show up for a couple days still, so hang in there!!!

I feel the same as you, come Friday I feel like that's going to be my RE's next suggestion too. At the same time, I hate to keep throwing away $ if things aren't working. At least IVF has a better success rate...how I keep trying to look at things :)

@kristimh80 that's nice you are trying to be positive. IVF is not only invasive its also very costly. Its over $25K here in southern california. I was thinking if we end up doing it, maybe we should consider doing it abroad. Even with travel costs it would be cheaper than here. Ugh!

@Labluver2 beta is on Friday. But, I feel like if its negative tomorrow too, its most likely negative.

@Ilky Same here! My dr's office does the attain fertility package with 3 fresh and 3 fet's for 25k. I feel because of the multiple tries it gives, it maybe worth it, just don't believe it includes medicine. It maybe cheaper for us to relocate to a place that is a fertility mandated state that requires insurance to cover :/
