@ladybug2821 Oh god, I would have died if I only ate 1000 calories while pumping, even if I was eating whole and clean! The quantities of food I could put away were apalling...
Happy to hear you're keeping up with the ab workout! I have seen plenty more good 10 minute workouts for the whole body if you're interested
@allythekid Yes, I eat like a pig. It is insane. I have seen quite a few of the different 10 min videos also and plan to use them. Today I used a 10 min stand up ab routine that way I don't always have to get down on the floor.
Just in case anybody is interested, here is a great 10 minute butt and leg workout that can be done pretty much anywhere, anytime:https://youtu.be/RhrmTsLpcn0
Also, here is a quick 10 minute all-over body sculpt. I didn't hear her say it, but make sure to lift your shoulder blades off the floor when doing ab work.https://youtu.be/03PFoL6JvQg
I've been slacking so much and the weight is creeping up. Its not even because I don't feel like it. I want to do what I was doing previously but I've been busy at work or its just been too hot to go outside and walk while I'm at work (too sweaty). I still try on the weekends since I can take S for a walk, but if we go to the pool, I normally don't do both. Ugghhh, I think I need to put off work to work out lol.
If you go to the pull just do a few laps as fast as you can! It's amazing how many calories your burn, and how many muscles that uses!
I know it's an awesome workout. The pool was part of my workout routine before I got KU. But normally it's just me and S so I can't really do anything since I have her .
I'm just now (this week) starting to change some bad habits I got into over the last couple months. Too many sweets, snacking and a nightly adult beverage mixed with very little exercise have caught up to me and I've gained 5lbs. I'm only 5' tall so 5 lbs. makes a huge difference in how my clothes fit. If I don't do something I will feel self conscience this summer. My body shape has definitely changed since giving birth and my old clothing fits my shape awkwardly. I absolutely hate shopping in general especially clothes shopping so I either have to drop some LBS. or buy a new wardrobe.
I'm starting small and committing to daily walks and some light free weights/exercises at home. I'm a fast cookie monster style eater so I'm also trying to slow down and drink more water so I don't feel like such a bottomless pit.
@brzvice I'm 5'1 so I definitely get what you mean. If it weren't already in the 90s I would be able to walk more but it's already hot from the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep. I might have to start doing some YouTube work outs at home after S is asleep but I really don't have much time. My diet is pretty basic since I'm dairy/tomato free but I'm sure there are some things I can cut. Since it had gotten so hot I was doing the stairs at work but they have piled so much stuff on me it's ridiculous. I'm the most productive worker they have so they give me a ton of crap. But really it's not fair to me because I have the least amount of time since I pump. We have a new employee so basically I'm training her and also picking up her slack. I think I'm going to have to start telling her I can't help as much. I need to workout lol.
@Ladybug2821 At night I'll put the LO in the stroller and in between walking her up and down the driveway (I have a long driveway), I'll do sets of exercises in front of her. She thinks it's funny and all I need is myself, a yoga mat, kettle bell, and dumbbells. Maybe you can do something like that.
@fitlady21 Some evenings I do take her out for a walk but it really is just too hot most days. We are already in the 90s and humid even during the evening. It finally rained yesterday so it was a little cooler (80s) so I was going to take her out but then it started pouring rain again . I'll figure something out. Some days I don't take a lunch at work so I think I will make a point to take one and at least do the stairs if it's too hot outside.
I've exercising and eating extremely clean the last few days and my milk supply has cut in half! I only pumped 10 ounces yesterday and I typically pump 18-20. She only took 4 so it's still more than enough but still! I'm worried it's not going to be enough when she nurses although she seemed satisfied. Should I add more calories in? I'm not trying to lose weight, just tone.

Yes, I would add in more calories because from what I hear we need at least 500 more since BF. I'm also wondering if that is part of why mine is dropping a little bit. I'm not necessarily dieting but I haven't been eating as much as I normally would.
@Ladybug2821 I calculated what I've been eating and it's about 1400. I was probably eating 2100 before that and maintaining weight. It's just hard for me to eat a lot of calories in clean food! Haha I can do it easily with some Reese's
@fitlady21 Right! I would love a Reese's right now. I hate that what I call "fake chocolate" (dairy free) costs so much. Its not fair. I found a vegan/dairy free bakery but its so expensive.
So I know my boobs are going to be super saggy when I'm done BF. Any exercises that might help fix that or am I doomed with saggy boobs forever??
@ladybug2821 Pushups help some- I have super small boobs, so now after three they don't "sag" per se, but they look super deflated. Pushups helped lift them a bit, but at this point I have come to accept that this is they way they will be now unless I pay to get 'em fixed. FX you have better luck than I did!
@Ladybug2821 Probably doomed forever. Haha how big are they now? I was a 34 A and now I wear a 32 B so mine didn't grow a ton although I'm sure mine will be saggy afterwards too. Push ups and chest flys will help build pectoral muscles but it won't help with boobs that much.
My husband wants me to get a boob job once we are for sure done. I'm on the fence about it.. I'd like to just have a small B because I like to wear bikinis and low cut tops and not worry about exposing too much. That doesn't seem worth it to get a boob job. Of course my husband wants me to get a large C hahah
Prior to pregnancy, I was a 36DDD but they we're in pretty good shape-not saggy. During pregnancy and for a few months pp, they went up to a G. I'm back down to wearing my DDD bras but my boobs are definitely deflated. I think it would be nice to have a boob lift, definitely wouldn't want any bigger. But I don't think I'm willing to spend the money or want to go through the pain.
Yeah, I can't see me spending money on it either. And I don't see how I'd ever have time for a recovery period now! I'll settle with my chest pancakes.
Getting in shape has completely been placed on the back burner. With work watching my every move, I haven't been able to do much walking. By the time I get home, I'm so tired I'm not even thinking about doing ab work. Will there be time one day?? Or am I going to be more tired the older she gets? I'm old .
Anybody still exercising? It's beyond the backburner here, it's gone completely out the window. I have the time technically, I'm just too tired and indifferent to care right now. I would likely hurt myself anyway given the current condition of my joints and muscles. I'm about to start giving it another go though I think, I'm not doing myself any good sitting around whining about hurting. Might as well hurt with a purpose?
