@katmarie13 I'm really sorry you're going through that, especially the part about not knowing exactly what's going on. If you have good insurance or don't mind spending the money I would look at going to the hospital. When I went they were incredibly helpful and did an ultrasound right then and there. That's what helped me calm down. And I got the results from blood work right away too. How far along are you? After about 6 weeks they should be able to see a heartbeat on a transvaginal ultrasound. In any case, I'm thinking of you and hope everything turns out ok.
@laurent90 Glad everything was ok! And I'm also glad I'm not the only one going to the hospital for stuff like this. Although, your situation was a bit different since your Dr. told you to go, but still makes me feel a little better about jumping the gun.
@katmarie13 I'm so sorry what a stressful, crappy situation.
I would also say call your OB back and tell them you are passing clots. It's been a couple days and they could see a change in HCG levels maybe. And for your peace of mind they should do another ultrasound now and see what they can see. You shouldn't have to wait in agony for another week. I know they and your mom probably told you but go to the ER if you fill a pad within an hour.
@katmarie13 I'm so sorry, sending you all the good vibes. I agree with the other ladies, definitely call your OB and see if you can get in any earlier.
Thanks everyone for your concern! It has truly helped me through today. I called the OB and they were able to see me today! I'm still so confused... and so are they. They don't know what's wrong and said it's all 50/50 right now on whether or not this is a viable pregnancy. My LMP was 4/7/17 so based on that, I should be 7w6d, however my ultrasound on Tuesday put me 2 weeks behind so I thought I was at the end of the 5th week, so 6 weeks now. The ultrasound today says I'm 5 weeks, too early to see if there is a heartbeat. They said the yolk sac looks perfect though. I get my blood work back tomorrow to see if the hcg levels went up or not.
*TW*** the OB said that the 50/50 chance is that I am in an early stage of miscarriage and that the baby might have just stopped growing at 5 weeks and be "stuck" in the uterus because he wasn't sure what the clots are or why I'm bleeding since everything looks intact. Either way, I have to go back again on Wednesday still. I hate this.
@katmarie13 thank you for the update. I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. I will be praying that you get good news tomorrow with your hcg levels.

@katmarie13 I am so sorry you are going through this uncertainty. I am thinking of you and have my fingers crossed for good numbers. I am not a doctor but I did a bunch of research on hCG levels and from what I've read you can have a healthy pregnancy even if your levels do not double within the commonly cited 48 hour period. I'm sure your doctor will be the best person to help you interpret your numbers but I just want you to know that the doubling in 48 hour rule is not absolute. I got very freaked out when my MW called with my numbers because they had not doubled, even though she said they looked good.
I'm glad you were able to get in today, @katmarie13. But sorry you didn't get any definitive answers. FX that things turn out for the good! Keep us updated, and let us know what happens.
@PleaseSendPicklesNow I feel your pain. I'm on the verge of seeing if I can take some sort of stool softener or laxative while pregnant because I am going through some shit right now. The constipation the last few days has been brutal.
@scatteringashes constipation sucks and also may explain some of your weight gain. While we were TTC I briefly went back on Metformin. While it commonly causes diarrhea, I actually ended up quite constipated and my weight became very stubborn -- I was trying to lose weight and completely stalled out while on Met. I stopped taking it because of an episode of extreme brain fog and within a week my weight started to drop again.
@sarahjean177 - Me too. Sooo gassy from foods that previously didn't effect me. The struggle is real.
@mamakassie2 - That's rough! I love cheese. That would be an awful aversion!
@caeilievalor - Eek! Glad everything turned out okay!
@katmarie13 - I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. I can only imagine how stressed and frightened you must be right now. *hugs* I'm glad you were able to get into your OB today, even if they weren't able to give you all of the answers you needed right then. FX for good test results tomorrow!
The nausea is kicking my butt this pregnancy. Nothing like I remember with #1. Miraculously I survived a camping trip this weekend and for some unexplainable reason I had zero morning sickness. Maybe the air/altitude or my loads of prayers, but sure enough I return home to the same old sickness I've had. Sure makes me want to go camping again!
I hope I can stay in a camping mood for the next few months. DH & I were planning a multi-day kayaking trip in early September before we got our BFP. I'll be 21-22 weeks at that point, but I don't want to cancel. I think it sounds awesome and fun!
The past few nights I've had trouble sleeping as I was feeling super nauseous when I lie down. Turns out I have horrible acid reflux and have to take a Zantac before bed and sleep with my head elevated. In other news the B6 and unisom seem to have kicked in, so my morning sickness during the day is significantly reduced. Though I do feel really full after eating just a small amount. Kinda like I'm going to explode.

Glad to hear you are at least getting a little relief! It sounds like your stomach has just given up completely on digesting food. Poor thing!!
@Cricket99 - I can eat maybe half of what I could pre-PG and feel full, but on the flip side I feel like I'm eating all the time because I'm hungry. Oh and drinking (and peeing) constantly.
I feel for all you mommas having morning sickness, i suffered 9 months straight with it with my first son, even on diclectin, but most times it does improve so there is light.
I acrually don't have any symptoms, if I wouldn't of took a yes on may 18th I wouldn't even of known I was pregnant because I bled so much that weekend I would of just assumed that was my period. But had my HCG tested and had an ultrasound so everything is fine !
I'm about 7+5 today and my sore boobs pretty much disappeared! It has me feeling super nervous but I do see on a bunch of old threads that it's very common! Anyone else experience soreness coming and going???
@mvrose82 Im going through the allergy/ sinus cold right now. I tried benadryl last night, hoping it would alleviate some of the symptoms and help me sleep.... nope! got 2.5 hours of sleep last night and still cant breathe. Dr Google says Claratin is safe so Im going to try that. Ive been trying to not take any types of medicine but I cant breathe, the face itchiness/ pain and headache is terrible. I dont want it to turn into a sinus infection either.
@livingoffpbjs same here. No sleep at all. Very congested, slight fever, can't breathe, terrible headache. I will be trying the Benadryl tonight. I have held off for 2 days and I'm a mess
@dcamp18 I've never actually dealt with the sore boobs, but my nausea kind of comes and goes. I felt awesome yesterday and then overnight it hit full force and I feel like crap today.
Has anyone been modifying their workout routines or have you continued with what you were doing before? I am so winded doing things now and sweating so much more with my workouts. I am not sure if I should just push through or if I should be slowing it down. I don't let my heart rate get above 185, but that is harder to do these last few days.
