  • @zamora_spin & @Cricket99tryingfor1st  If you're having leg spasms at night try eating things with more potassium.  I had this problem with my youngest daughter and have a lot of patents who suffer from it and a lot of times potassium has seemed to be the culprit. Bananas, potatoes, and avacados are all very high in potassium  :)
Magnesium also helps! I use Natural Calm magnesium supplement at night and it works wonders.

  • I feel like I got ran over by a huge truck when I wake up in the morning. So many body aches. Drinking gatorade has helped so I will add that to my morning routine.
  • Energy has been in short supply so my book returns at work have been piling up (Library). I decided to work on putting some away and got hit with a huge wave a nausea and got hot all over. I thought I was going to have to beeline for the washroom but after sitting for a while its subsided. I also took some ginger gravol so hopefully it kicks in and I can get more work done.

@sbishop426 Coconut water helps too and has less sugar than gatorade.
  • @ottergirl81 thanks for the suggestion!

Has any started taking iron yet? I might try a slow release version, I can hardly get off the couch today. Hang over sensation in full effect.
  • So I want to vomit and fall asleep at the same time...bleh
  • @gamilasalem82 - the bananas REALLY help with the restless legs! also, magnesium is supposed to have the same effect!

AFM, nausea is starting to hit full force. Luckily, haven't gotten sick yet. I picked up a thing of thoses "belly pop" suckers, they're like a hard candy form of sour patch kids and they seem to help a lot, at least temporarily. I had heard something about sour things counter-attack a sour stomach, even though it doesn't make sense, at least to me! I have my 3rd beta tomorrow so when i talk to my nurse/doctor afterwards i'm going to ask about unisom/b6 and/or something slightly stronger.

    Also. Fatigue. Moodiness. Sheesh! :astonished:

@caseyw8784 I hear ya on the nausea starting to really kick in, its kicking my butt today! Probably because I'm trying to clean my house it thinks its a great time to happen. Oh and lightheaded, holy moly.
  • So.. gassy:( WTF?! Going on three days straight   :s
  • Just had my first tad of spotting and totally freaked out. I know it's not uncommon, but I rarely spot between periods and didn't have any implantation bleeding so it was really scary spotting today. It was mostly CM, but was turned pink. Two wipes and it was all gone. And then I called DH crying and considered going to the hospital. I didn't go. I just ate some food and then felt better.

Its like I KNOW it's normal, but no amount of knowing it's normal made me feel better when I saw it. Anyways, I feel like a wussy. :-(

I started taking iron the first day I got my BFP. I had to do iron infusions with my first son and I refuse to go through that again. So far no mention of low iron, but I'm not taking any chances.
  • My boobs are super sore, I'm already having insomnia issues, and I am so thirsty all the time. I don't think it is possible to drink enough water to make this cotton mouth go away!
  • Whew, nausea reared her hideous head this morning. All the Ginger Ale. If I could've bought out the store, I would have.

I did buy out the store! Granted there were only 2 bottles left, but still  :D
  • Major irritability, nausea, heartburn, exhaustion, and all the tears. I'm so ready for 2nd tri already.
  • Last night I had my first episode of being FREEZING for no reason. I had totally forgotten about that from last time, but my husband remembered. Hello heaps of blankets! Also, the fatigue seems to be setting in way early this time. That bodes well. I'm sure my 1-year-old will take it easy on me.
  • Well, my boobs are back (Hello, girls!) And like @schaze said ALL the tears. It borderline embarrassing!
  • Dreams!  It's so crazy to me that I hardly ever remember dreams when I wake up.  However, lately I've remembered a dream every morning!  Also, sore boobs and really feeling bloated.  My 8-week appt w/ ultrasound is tomorrow... FINALLY.

  • Lower back pain.  Diarrhea, nausea, tingling in my face.  None of my usual pregnancy symptoms.  Doing labs after work today, but when the nurse called to confirm I told her about my symptoms, she seemed concerned and said they may have me wait around for my labs.  :(

  • @caeilievalorI’m so sorry! I know how scary it can be and totally agree that someone telling you it is normal doesn’t always calm me down. Can you call your doctor today for reassurance?

The constant peeing has hit me too. I was up four times last night.
My nausea actually improved this weekend. I've been going three days strong with minimal nausea, so you better believe I had a productive weekend! Cleaned my house, got the grocery shopping done, and went on a five mile walk with my family yesterday. It was freaking glorious to feel human again. I'm just crossing my fingers that it wasn't a fluke! I'm 9+2 today, so I'm hoping the light at the end of the tunnel that is trimester 1 is coming early. But in all reality...I probably just jinxed myself with that comment!
  • I'm so freaking tired i can't snap out of it! add in the dull headaches and occasional nausea and it makes it really fun!

  • Anyone else with the worst tasting mouth? No amount of teeth brushing, water or gum gets right of the taste
  • @burnsmommy27 I wear a TMJ guard at night and, let me tell you, my mouth tastes rancid in the morning! This only started happening in the last week or two. I HATE IT.

  • @missblaze that sounds terrible. I don't remember this from last time around. Hopefully it will be short lived. I'm constantly chewing gum
  • I'm still nauseous all day every day, the degree varies but it's always there, and it's definitely the worst in the mornings. I have to have something to nibble on at all times.

Is anyone else dizzy? I mostly feel it in the evenings after working all day. I even wake up in the middle of the night and the room is spinning like I'm hungover.

Exhaustion. My 3.5 year old wears me out and I need a nap everyday.

I feel bad bad for my husband, between the nausea and exhaustion I'm pretty useless right now, and our house is a mess. I keep up with laundry and that's about it these days. Last time I felt better right away when the second trimester hit. I'm 9 weeks today (have first ultrasound tomorrow!!) so I'm hoping for about a month or less of this and then I'll feel better.

  • Hi guys, I have had a rough few days. I started spotting after an ultrasound Wednesday and then bleeding some Saturday after sex. I had more spotting Sunday and then yesterday more blood and the evening a LOT of blood. I was convinced I was having a MC (would be my second). I went in to see my doctor this morning, bawling on the table during the ultrasound and then he said everything looks great, saw a flutter of a heartbeat. He told me around half of women have bleeding in early pregnancy. This all made me feel better but I am still incredibly nervous and cautious. He said take it easy and we have our next US June 12 (which will put me at 7w4d.

  • @hmlynch84 I get dizzy.  It was one of my hints to take a test since the last time I had that feeling I was preg with DD2.  It goes away pretty quick but I do feel drunk or hung over
    image
  • @EmilyLove25 I went ahead and reviewed the booklet they gave me and it says they don't want me to call unless there's heavy bleeding or if there's pain with the bleeding, which there wasn't. I went kayaking yesterday for two hours which I don't do often so it makes sense. I have another US scheduled for Friday so we can verify all is still good.

Hats off to you and other STM+! It's amazing to me now thinking about all the work and attention it takes to get through 9 months of this! Sheesh!
  • @hmlynch84I just started getting dizzy and never was with DD. It certainly does not help with the nausea. I find it is worse when I lie down also, which is umm… not fun?

@caeilievalor (hope that tag worked)... glad you are going Friday, and I promise all 9 months are not like this. When you can feel that baby move, everything is better
:) and for most the anxiety decreases as does the nausea!

  • @slipaustin hi, I don't have any experience with that but I wanted to say hang in there. Try not to stress yourself out too much, I know impossible right.
  • cyanopecyanope member
@slipaustin, so sorry you're dealing with this. I don't have any experience with bleeding during early pregnancy, but I know MANY women who have, and all of them have gone on to have successful pregnancies. I hope you are able to take it easy and find some peace during a stressful time! I know it seems counterintuitive to see blood while pregnant, but for some women, that is just the norm.
  • The nausea is kicking my butt this pregnancy.  Nothing like I remember with #1.  Miraculously I survived a camping trip this weekend and for some unexplainable reason I had zero morning sickness.  Maybe the air/altitude or my loads of prayers, but sure enough I return home to the same old sickness I've had.  Sure makes me want to go camping again!

I have been bleeding as well. I went in and my levels were 54 on Friday may 19, and then I bled the whole weekend, quite heavily too, bright red for 3 days straight then on Tuesday my hcg was 595, so the dr didn't seem concerned. I stopped bleeding last Sunday and just started bleeding again today. So gonna try to get in with my dr. With my last pregnancy I had bleeding and cramping and a couple times I was sooo scared but he's now a healthy 19 month old boy

cyanope Thank you so much, and yes, it's terrifying and frustrating. And impossible to get out of my head.
amberrmariee20 Good luck to you as well. My HCG count is 28,171 today. I had to see my doctor, it wasn't an option for me not to, there is no way I would get through another day without having this reassurance, however temporary.

  • The nausea is crazy.  My OB prescribed Reglan because I cannot nurse and take the unisom/B6 combo.  I have been only taking it at night because of the side effects of dizziness and tiredness, but I am getting close to taking it more often.  I can take it up to 4 times a day, but really trying to power through.  It is hard to keep up my calorie intake for nursing and growing a new one.  The worst of it is at night though when you pair the nausea with the extreme bloating and tiredness.  I am such a baby when I feel this way.  Basically useless. On a happy note, I am going to order my son's first birthday cake tonight after work

I'm going crazy too, I'm hoping to be able to see a dr soon, I'm curious about how low my numbers were last week but they were doubling fast so that eased my mind a bit ! You have great numbers !! How many weeks are you ?
