Re: PGAL Check In 5/31
2. How are you feeling? Nauseous a lot of the time. I think my vomiting is under control now though. Finally.
3. EDD? 13+3 today. Honestly not sure if they will move my date from the 10th to the 3rd. Was a full week ahead at my ultrasound.
4. How are you feeling anxiety wise? Ok I guess. It's Day #6 of waiting for Harmony test results. The wait has gone quick to this point as we've been busy. Still sucks though.
5. Any apppointments this week? Next is June 7th.
6. Rants/Raves/whatever? See #4.
7. GTKY? What's your favourite cuisine? I don't know that I have one lol. Really liking BBQ right now though.
ETA: Update on #5 regarding the at-home doppler. I found the heartbeat without any problem last night after I got home from work. I read somewhere (or one of you told me) that a full stomach/bladder helps. After hearing it, I vowed to put it away for a while! Thanks everyone for your support.

(does that answer basically all the above questions?)
and i like Thai food.
@peachy13 In-home dopplers are such a double edged sword. I had a friend offer me hers but I really think they would cause me more stress than relief until I was at a certain point in pregnancy. If you are worried, call your doctor!! They may be able to squeeze you in to try themselves to give you some peace of mind.
@jackiesmom324 FX that you can find a place you guys like! Moving sucks so hard, I can only imagine that not having luck on the home search makes it even worse. Good luck!

@cmillar36 the wait for the results is the worst! But once you get the results you'll forget all about it!
@peachy13 Congrats on the great scan and tests! I have a doppler and I've only used it a few times. Remember that you have more evidence pointing to a healthy baby and that home dopplers can be finnicky. I've heard that some people will try eating/drinking something and then going back to find the heartbeat. Your uterus is also growing/moving at this point so that could be a part of the reason too!
@NME44 ahh the countdown! FX for a great scan!
@flowerpower5838 yay for the SCH clearing up!
@holzie-2 hope the time passes quickly for you!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
Mostly okay. I tire more easily after a long day or a lot of activity. Some evening headaches. The occasional whoosh of "I think I'm about to throw up" but then I don't lol.
12+6, EDD 12/7/17
So bad. Today was tough. I found out someone due a week ahead of me is going to use our baby name we've had picked out for a decade, and all of the IF and loss nonsense started falling on me like boulders. So I started crying about that, then it shifted to being terrified - like, gasping crying terrified - I'm going to lose this one.
We had a really good appointment Friday and maybe I felt too good after? Too hopeful? I told H it's like I went on a weekend hope bender and have a hangover today. I have a therapy appointment this afternoon and will definitely talk about all this.
NT Scan last Friday went well. I have the next monthly ob followup this Friday, but I don't know if they do a scan at this one. (I'm hoping so!)
6. Rants/raves/whatever:

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): Have that cautious feeling. Have had no US or HB checks, so trying to stay distracted and not obsess. No worrisome symptoms so far. Amazing how much a prior MC changes your mentality though. It is a really different experience than with previous prenancies.
Had one last week and they did a pelvic exam where doc said uterus was heavy (yay!). Supposed to go in next week to check for HB. Declined all optional early testing because I don't like going to the doctor's office and I am a bit of a fatalist...
On our overseas trip a couple weeks ago we all got a stomach bug. Between stomach issue, possible MS, jetlag, adapting to foreign foods, it was a miserable flight and tough first few days abroad.
7. GTKY: What is your favorite cuisine?
Thai!
@jackiesmom324 I grew up in DC area and still visit there a lot. The housing situation is insane there. Good luck!
Thank you for the reminder
i actually have 3-6 hours stretches where I don't have a lump in my throat! Yay!

Ultrasound at genetic counselor's office on 6/7
The chance of this baby having a fatal chromosomal problem is 6% (I am AMA + our history). Screening is the only possible way to protect myself from another late loss; not that an early termination seems so much better than a late one. Sigh. It's a little hard to see some folks being jealous of those who know their baby's sex because of screening. (1) We're team green; (2) I would give my right arm not to go through this screening / not to have it feel so necessary. I realize this is misplaced upset, and no one means any harm, but there you go. Feeeeeeeeeeelings.
Indian food. Chicken Tikka Masala is an absolute fave.

Next Tuesday I will have my first chance to hear the heartbeat on the doppler. Can't wait!!
I'm just so happy to have made it to this point in my pregnancy.
This is so hard because I love food. Mexican and Greek are probably my top. Along with good old meat and potatoes.
edit to add my response to number 2! whoops

@pandawares I grew up in Vienna!
I can probably stop counting down now
Also Shakshuka - be ready for this to change your life! It's a super easy weeknight dinner of eggs poached in a spicy tomato sauce. I don't like things super spicy so only use 1/4 to 1/2 of a jalapeno.

We just serve with feta and pita and holy moly, it's good! Another tip is to only crack as many eggs as you're going to eat that night. Then for leftovers the next day add a bit of water to the sauce, heat, and then crack new eggs. We also like to add a little white wine to this sauce.

I think it is a tie between Indian, Vietnamese, Mexican, and Greek. Ha! I basically love all the food. @jackiesmom324 I also love a good West African stew!!!
