Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? Not really. Eva has been really clingy and has been having some major meltdowns at night, but I can see that this is probably my fault. Since I've been feeling so awful I haven't been giving her the attention she needs/deserves.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: I'm just happy and excited to involve Eva in the whole process. She understands that this is her baby too and I think that will help with the adjustment.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: Other STM+s - What is something that you did not have last time that you are hoping to have this time? This can be a pregnancy item, a toy for LO, etc.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music? 90s alternative!

Things have been relatively easy around here. Just trying to keep them busy so they don't annoy each other and fight. They play really well together so it allows me to rest when needed. They are sooooo excited about this baby!
My girls are 18 mo apart so they have a built in best friend. I worry that this child will be more lonely bc of the age gap. This is DEFINITELY my last one.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:
My girls are best friends and like doing the same things. It's such a joy to watch and they are going to love on the new baby so much!

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music?
Oldies and 80 and 90s pop. My husband told me I have the musical taste of a 50 year old lol. We absolutely do not agree on music!!

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now?

I am nervous about getting everyone on a schedule. With twins a schedule is imperative. So trying to find one that works for us will be a challenge I bet. We're trying to conquer potty training at the moment, the struggle is real!

I cant wait to see the joy of the girls being big sisters. They are so sweet to other LO.

@missblazeI really want a bumbo seat. Not sure on the spelling? I know there is a lot of controversy out about them but I feel like it would be great to have to entertain and take baby with you while I'm trying to get things done. I've also seen little table attachments. With the girls I didn't want to splurge and buy 2 and not like them.

@missblaze my friend has this and it's awesome. It's lightweight and portable and keeps the baby happy, entertained and sitting up. He just chills in it or feeds him baby food in it. Definitely buying this. Hopefully my picture worked! It's called Fisher Price sit me up floor seat.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? School surprisingly started potty training yesterday so...I need to get on the ball at home looks like.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: Excited to tell DS about being a big brother. Waiting for the bump to explain that one.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: I appreciate my husbands help yesterday with DS. Nausea hit around 4 pm and I was in bed at 5.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music? I love all kinds of genres. Really loving the 70s and 80s radio right now.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? the only thing i a really nervous about is sleep. Blake sleeps with us, and i am nervous about how cosleeping will work if we have baby in the room too. i am hoping he wants to transition back into his toddler bed... but i highly doubt it.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? DS is testing us big time right now. I just dealt with a full on temper tantrum in the daycare parking lot because I got DD out of the car first. I'm talking crying, kicking, screaming, refusing to get out of the car. Oh the joys of being a parent! @PhillymommaX2 I am in the same boat. My kids are 19 months apart and are very close. I worry that this one will be a little left out.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: I am very excited to tell our daughter about the baby. I have my first ultrasound/appointment today/tomorrow (yes 2 seperate days - don't get my started...) so we will tell her this Friday probably. It seems like she asks for one more baby everyday - and this is our last baby FOR SURE!

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: Baby Gear: My daughter slept in the rock n play forever which made the transition to her crib miserable. With my son we were determined that he would sleep flat on his back in the co-sleeper from day(night) 1 so that it would be an easier transition. A few sleepless nights in and I brought out the damn rock n play again. I love/hate it! I am intrigued by the Halo bassinet this time around and think it might be my splurge.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music? I like a wide range of music from folk rock to 90s pop/R&B.

How old are your other kids (Share names if you would like)? Emily is JUST 20 months!

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? Like many of you, I hate feeling like less of a mom lately. I’m sure she hasn’t really noticed, but I sure have. I want out of the first trimester. And of course I think back to all of my experiences with her and it makes me tear up—happy tears but just lots of emotions.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: Everything (aside from the first trimester, possible carpel tunnel, and delivery lol). Picturing them growing up together is just EVERYTHING for me.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: Does anyone remember when they started feeling the light at the end of the first trimester tunnel? My friend was trying to make me feel better and said a lot of people get relief at 10 weeks… but… I know for a fact I puked on my wedding night and was 12 weeks, lol.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music? Indie music! I love everything Jack White touches, the National, etc. However, I also love musicals… and I listen to Hamilton A LOT (seeing it in September)!

@missblaze That is a great question. I’m certain I’ll have a better answer as we move along, but right now I would say a better sleeping arrangement, lol. DD hated her crib and I didn’t like the Pack ‘n Play bassinet option. Depending on $, I might splurge and get a better bassinet (looking at the Halo one, which is over priced! I love how I can want things that I know later on I will think were absurdly priced and a waste).

@jjvanwagner25 j We have a Bumpo, though honestly, we did not use it much. I think the main controversy is when people put them on tables or high surfaces. Using them on the ground is totally safe! PS we did like the table attachment and it was CHEAP! I also have the seat @PhillymommaX2 mentioned… someone gave us to it but at that point DD had outgrown it. Excited to use it this time!

I continue to be terrified. DS is amazing, he was the easiest baby and gave me no trouble until he was 3. Now at 4 he's amazing again. I'm worried he'll resent this baby, this pregnancy, me... he's very touchy, cuddly, etc and I've already been having to ask him to sit next to me instead of on top of me, or to just give me space. He's been very understanding but I'm afraid I'll hurt his feelings. He's sensitive.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:

N gives the baby kisses and hugs before bed every night, he's always asking how the baby is and he insists it's a baby sister. It's the sweetest bond already.

I can't wait to see DS be a big brother. He is already so gentle with other, smaller kids. My heart will constantly be melting.

Announced to my mom. I told her not to share the news until I tell her it can be totally public, because I don't want word to spread until I've talked to my workplace. So within seconds, she vaguebooks a status about getting some great news and how she's walking on cloud nine, etc. etc. etc. ::rolls eyes::

Pop, mostly. I've been listening to Haim and Bleachers a lot lately.

A (DD) just turned 5 last week and M (DS) is 13 months

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now?

I currently stressing over a few things. One is the sleeping arrangement in our house. A has her own room, but it's tiny, so it's not really something two kids could share. M is in our room, but sleeps in bed with us. We have a third room, but it's occupied by my mom. She helps with the kids, but we really need that room. I'm in between a rock and a hard place. Also, as a nurse who works nights, I need sleep and I just don't see how I'm going to get it with two babies in our room. We'll figure it out, but it's mind boggling.

I'm ready for our family to be complete.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? This morning was crazy, trying to get everyone out the door with the right outfits and homework and lunches. On the way to work I got a little emotional wondering how the eff I'm going to do it all with THREE.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: I cannot wait for baby snuggles. I love the newborn stage.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: I still have two weeks until my first appointment. I'm not having many symptoms so it's had so to stay calm about whether everything is ok.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music? I'll happily listen to anything but country. Currently the Hamilton soundtrack is on repeat in our house.

@EmilyLove25 I think I started feeling better around 15 or 16 weeks, so not exactly right after 1st trimester but pretty close. I'm hoping since it started early this time maybe it'll end early?

@missblaze that's a good question.. the only thing I've thought of so far is a backpack diaper bag instead of a shoulder one. Ours is nice, but it gets so heavy and I found a backpack on Amazon that I love that has more pockets

Re: Bumbo seats, I believe the biggest controversy is the forced positioning. I've heard it can be bad for hip development and things, but I'm definitely not an expert on the subject, so I'd have to do some more reading.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? I *think* E is finally getting her first tooth! We've cried wolf on teeth before but this time there's something poking out of her gums and it's super swollen. This would definitely explain all the tantrums and issues we've had the last couple of weeks.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: She's started lifting up my shirt just past my stomach and lying down on me. Not sure if she's just being weird, or if she knows something's up, but I like to think she's hugging the baby

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: Still having anxiety about not having had an appointment yet. It's in about 2 weeks and I will be so nervous until then! I don't even have a u/s or heartbeat check, it's just an OB consult but afterwards I should be able to schedule my dating scan right away so we can see this bean!

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? DD has a cold and just wants to cuddle with me which is fine, but I'm terrified of catching it.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: Even though DD is sick, I'm still enjoying our cuddle time and it's making me more aware that our family dynamic will be changing in a few months.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions:

Rant - The nausea is still going strong and I find the baby brain is starting to kick in. Last time the baby brain started a lot later.

Rave - Since I've been going to bed as soon as DD goes down, my DH has been organizing the house/garage! It's going to make nesting a lot easier.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music? Don't judge me, but I like the Top 40. Haha!

I'll answer my own question.

I really want to get a nice glider this time around. We were living in an extremely tiny apartment when we had DD and there was literally no room so we didn't buy one. Sitting on our couch and nursing gave me the worst back aches. I'd rather have a comfy glider in LO's room.

I know DD1 is going to be thrilled about being a big sister again. I'm not so sure how DD2 is going to handle it. At best she's likely to be uninterested. As long as it ends there we're good!

We haven't told them yet and probably won't for quite some time.

If I've learned anything about having kids is that baby gear is pretty useless. We used even less with DD2 than we did with DD1- other than the baby carriers. So I guess that's what I want. Another Ergo. I want one I can leave in my car; one less thing to remember to grab on the way out of the house.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music?

Top 20 type stuff. Mostly because that's what I hear at the gym all day so it helps to keep my energy up.

@missblaze OMG I wish we were neighbors. I would GIVE you the glider I bought with DD. Rarely used it. I found I was much calmer nursing on the couch with DH around and the tv if it was long and then in bed. Of course DD never learned to sleep on her own until 17 months, so maybe I should have done more in her room

BUT I will say we got a great deal on ours by going to an Overstock furniture store that carried way more than just baby furniture.

I’m a little worried about the transition this summer to a new house, and at some point we have to get the older kid potty trained, he categorically DOES NOT want to, and I’m trying to not make it a battle, but this is getting ridiculous.

@schaze I think you’re right re: the hip issues with the bumbo. I know our PT friends won’t let their kids use them for that reason.

@missblaze, I'm getting a Rock and Play this time around. I didn't think I would need one with DD, but she HATED sleeping on a totally flat surface for the first 8 weeks of her life, so I held her while she slept most of the time. That will not be doable this time around since I'll have a toddler running around. I'll also be getting a Snoogle!
@EmilyLove25, with DD, I was super nauseous until about 11 weeks, and then I felt great...but I threw up a TON from about week from 12 to week 16. I felt fine, I would just barf randomly without any nausea. I have felt pretty good for the last few days, basically since I hit 9 weeks, so hopefully you'll get there soon.
@schaze and @ChloandCoco, I also want a ring sling this time around. I have a Solly wrap, which I love, but I think I want a ring sling too!

Like many of you, I'm nervous about the juggling act. How am I going to balance it all??

LOVE that LO pats/hugs my belly and says, "Baby." She's so young that I'm sure she doesn't understand fully, but it's still cute.

Not looking forward to turning the office into a nursery. Even though DD stayed in our room til 6 months, so we have time. I did tell DD that I was getting her a special bookshelf for her room for all the toys and things she doesn't want to share to ease the transition of losing her playroom on the loft to my future office.

Dd keeps drawing four person families and it's super cute. She also hugs the baby in my tummy and likes to blow raspberries at the baby. She does get worried sometimes about my ability to love her and a baby, but I've been trying to assure her it won't be a problem. I'm the oldest of three so I get it.

I'm holding steady right now, just want to get to my appointment next week and see this kid for myself.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music?
my musical tastes run from classic rock and punk to reggaeton and merengue. Saw the Dead Kennedys at the beginning of the year and it was awesome, even with a different lead signer. I've been loving that "despacito" song with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee though.

I too am having a hard time balancing feeling like crap and being a good mom. Monday I didn't even get out of my pj's or bed. DH took DD out to lunch with the in laws.

This time around i want to get a nice swing. With DD we were gifted an old one and she didn't really like it. I'm glad we don't have to buy so much stuff this time.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? Not as much my kids, but my husband. Hes on call this week for work so I am doing bedtime x3 alone when Im just so exhausted.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: Im so excited to see friendship blossom between 3-4 and a mentorship develop between 2-4. I think 2 feels like he has lost his purpose since 3 came along and this will help.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: We are starting our school year in a few weeks to account for vacation in October and a baby. I just got the last guide in and Im geeking out.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music? I like most everything, but especially that hippie/ indie vibe. Dylan is my absolute favorite. But, I primarily listen to classical since its what I play when the kids are up.

@missblaze, I havent found anything yet for baby. By the time number three came we had a car seat, pnp, a few carriers, clothes, and a blanket and I felt like it was perfect.
For me- a maid. Im asking for a professional deep cleaning for Christmas for the first 3 months of 2018 so I dont have to worry about it.

How old are your other kids? Levi will be 4 at the end of August.

Current Challenges and concerns: Not much, I feel bad that I'm super tired and sick and don't feel like playing with Levi like I usually do. I'm hoping to feel better in the next few weeks so I can enjoy our camping trip and have energy to have fun with Levi while I'm off for summer vacation.

Current Joys/Successes/Happy Thoughts: I told Levi there was a baby in my tummy, and his reaction was so happy. He's happy to have a baby like his cousin. That makes me happy. Now he's saying he has a baby in his tummy too.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: All I want it for my son to poop in the potty. He's fully pee trained, but is scared to poop in the potty and no amount of bribery and encouragement is working. I don't know what else to do.

Music: not a huge music person. Mostly I listen to the Christian radio station in the car. I'd rather read

We only recently talked about wanting another child in the future (like 1.5 years to start trying), so I guess my biggest concern is making sure to give DD all the attention she gets now. I know she will be a great big sister, but I also have a feeling she will be jealous.

Having the 2 kids closer in age than I thought I would.

C is 21 months

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now?

I feel like my patience is a little thin at the moment. I felt bad because I just got snappy with him for continually trying to spill his water cup. I don't like feeling grouchy. C has been super clingy since we went to MD/NC to visit family at the beginning of the month. He's always been a sweet kid with random kisses and hugs, but lately, he's just been wanting all-Mommy, all.the.time. I feel guilty for being tired of being touched so much and I wonder if he knows there's another baby coming.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:

Im really excited about seeing C with a baby brother or sister. He's very curious about babies and other kids--probably because he mostly hangs out with me. I'm also looking forward to all the stages again and seeing the world through another new set of eyes.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions:

Rant: DH has been a crappy communicator lately and I do not like to find out last minute that he is working way past dinner time. I get nauseous and super exhausted after 5 pm and am not looking forward to being solely responsible for the toddler.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music?
I like an eclectic mix of almost everything. Right now I'm into the soundtrack from Moana ((toddler)), 90's rock and some Jack Johnson.
I've heard the same thing about the bumbo being bad for their hips/development. I wasn't too into crazy amounts of babygear with DS, so I don't think there's anything crazy I'd be interested in this time that I don't already have. My favorite thing from last time was my mini crib from PBK which I have moved to my parents house so I'm looking to buy a new one for this LO and that's about it except for a new double stroller and a new diaper bag. Probably some clothes. Oh and I want a new breast pump. I hate mine.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now?
Working full time and being so tired is definitely taking a toll. I get home and want to nap but she just wants to jump and climb on me

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: I always knew I wanted more than one. I am so excited to meet our next baby and for dd to be a big sister.

DD is 2 ... 3 months til Threenager

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now?
DD came with us to my scan this morning and a woman had her new new new baby with her. DD was so curious until the baby started crying, and she immediately got very upset, covered her ears, started screaming "too loud, too loud, too loud", and went into a meltdown until H removed her from the waiting room. I don't even know what to do about it if that is going to be an issue for her. Especially if 2.0 is any bit as difficult of a baby as she was.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:
I've gotten DD to nap in my bed for her naps lately. She naps way longer there, and I am able to snooze as well.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions:
Random: Just discovered DD doesn't like my current craving: French onion dip. Score for not having to share!

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of music?
I am all over the place depending on my mood! There is very little I do not enjoy.
