we are doing BBQ tomorrow with my ILs. Last time I saw them I was in TWW and didn't drink so of course my MIL blurts out "IS THERE SOMETHING YOU NEED TO TELL ME." I'm sure she'll realize the error of her ways when I down an entire bottle of wine tomorrow.
I'm taking drink till it's pink to a whole new level with my 3rd consecutive day of wine tasting during my TWW (would NOT normally do this but my dad and SM are in town and the only thing to do here is drink wine). Probably too early for implantation, and anyway I'm not a pre-treatment SS, so
We do not have any big plans this weekend but I am so glad it is a long weekend. We are grilling today because it is actually sunny and the rain has had a mind of it's own lately. Enjoying the sun while we can!

I spent the morning cleaning, and H is gone until tomorrow morning so I have a super exciting afternoon of drinking wine, watching Grey's, and knitting planned. I'm exciting, I know. Highlight of my weekend so far? H won this absolutely horrid Heineken patio umbrella in some raffle a couple of years ago. I. Hate. It. Earlier this week, it broke!!! I finally got to order a nice, new, shiny umbrella that I will actually be able to open myself! The only let down is that it won't get here until next week, and that's lame.
I found new Pyrex while antiquing! Bottom pattern is White Lace and was a promotional pattern only available in 1957. Top pattern is Horizon Blue. It was made to commemorate the moon landing of Apollo 11 and was available 1969 to 1972.
I have the horizon blue top one but in a rounded bowl and that same size/shape but in a tan print, we grew up with! But I never knew the names. I would love more of the same sets, too! Those are awesome @KariAnn323. I never knew it was commemorative!
@zwink1, that sounds like a great day to me. I have been trying to learn to knit, but struggling, I am left handed and everyone who tries to teach me is right handed.
I had an evening planned of a bottle of wine and a nice long bath, but ended up getting a migraine, so we will see if the medication kicks in on time for me to enjoy it, vs just going to bed.
@KariAnn323 when my grandparents died, my mom ended up with a ton of things that look just like that but in different colors.... who knew it was anything special!
@holly321, so my interesting knitting thing is that I am right handed but I actually knit backwards. I learned to crochet first and never could get the hang of holding the yarn in my right "dominant" hand. Eventually I just said screw it and started holding in my left hand... wwwaaayyy easier for me. There are some YouTube videos that focus on left hand knitting. I suggest checking out some of those if you're struggling to hold the yarn in your right hand, that could be the difference maker for you.
I hope your migraine clears up so you can enjoy that wine and bath! I might be adding a bath to my list as well.
@holly321 I am also left handed and I really want to learn to knit. I think I might just teach myself right handed since I do other things with my right hand. @KariAnn323 I love those pieces! So cool to learn about the different patterns.

@holly321, I'm also left-handed and have had the same issue trying to learn to knit. My SIL is an amazing knitter and tried to teach me but it just wasn't happening. I'm trying to pick up crochet now and am only looking at materials meant for lefties to see if that helps! So far my progress is very slow.
@KariAnn323, that's so cool about the commemorative pattern!
@KariAnn323 - Thanks for sharing that website. It's so cool! I never knew a catalogue like that existed!
AFM, I drank a lot last night after I officially decided I have no idea what my body is doing or even if I ovulated. And I napped all afternoon. I've probably peed on more than 30 OPKs this cycle. I give up.

@grnmtnmama The weather is beautiful here today too! Sunny, but happily not too hot. What did you get at the market?
I finished quilting a quilt yesterday, so today I hope to bind it today and get it all the way done... woohoo! However, the house desperately needs to be cleaned, and I really ought to do some weeding and work in the garden... so grateful for the 3-day weekend.

@hedgepig That's weird it's sunny up there--totally overcast down here right now. Maybe we'll get your sun in an hour or two.
I believe in the power of jinx so I just bought myself another 2 pairs of Thinx AF panties. FYI if someone here was thinking of trying them when we were talking about them a few weeks ago, they're having a 30% off sale today.
@vflux33 From what my sister says, I think that's pretty common. You guys get way more summer fog and marine influence than we do, plus we're up at 3,000 feet, so usually above the fog anyways. I hope it clears up for you soon though!

@vflux33 I have 3 pairs, but 2 are way too big. The like normal bikini ones are fine, but the thong and.... IDK how to describe the other? sort of bikini but different? They're huuuuge but the same size as the bikini ones. Did you find that to be the case for you too?
@grnmtnmama@JJMNO1616@vflux33 also re: thinx, (TMI?) have you guys ever had the experience of a very heavy night with them? I mostly wear them at night on heavy days with a tampon, so they're more backup, but I've definitely had a few times where I bleed through the tampon, feel the gush, get up to pee, and when I take the underwear down to pee, it sort of slides blood all along my inner thighs because of how it spreads the liquid in the fabric. So. lol.
@grnmtnmama@doxiemoxie212@vflux33@JJMNO1616 My two cents re: Thinx. I love them! I have very light periods and hate tampons, so they're great for me. I have never bled through them, even wearing them 8 or 10 hours at a time. My only problem with them is that they can get kind of stinky, so I like to change them every 6-8 hours or so, especially if it's a hot/sweaty day. And washing them in the sink is way less gross/weird than I thought it would be. Edit: @doxiemoxie212 I have 5 pairs, and while I like some of the cuts better than others, but haven't had any trouble with sizing.

Hmm, I think I might pick up a pair with the sale today! I use cloth pads about half the time so washing them out in the sink isn't weird to me. My periods aren't super heavy so being able to wear them with no pad would be amazing!

@KariAnn323 - Love your Pyrex finds! I'm a huge nerd for antique stores! I inherited a couple pieces of the mid-60s orange and brown Town and Country pattern from my grandmother. Fun fact: the Corning Museum of Glass was the first museum I ever went to. I was a baby, and my big sister was 8. I threw up everywhere, and that's when my parents decided they couldn't take me anywhere nice. However, I maintain that taking your small children to a glass museum sounds like a disaster to begin with.
@holly321 - I'm also left handed and struggle with knitting. I kinda sorta figured it out, but I'm super bad at it.
@pebbledam - Have all the drinks! That's what I'm doing, starting right now.
AFM, I am still sitting around in my pajamas and haven't gone outside at all yet today. I was thinking about going to a hot yoga class, but I would have to put on work out clothes and now I'm drinking champagne. Oops!
@grnmtnmama I love Thinx! I only have 1 now. I think you're supposed to just rinse a lot in cold water and then run them through the wash and hang to dry. I strongly recommend them AND the company is totally run by women, which is cool.
@doxiemoxie212 Since I only have 1 pair until I get the ones I just bought, I can't speak to your size issue BUT mine definitely shrunk when I forgot to take them out of the laundry before the dryer so if you want them to be smaller I'd dry them a couple times. I do have the same issue with the gross slide, but I always assumed that's because I get a lot of clots with AF. I mentally prepare for it--never had it run down my leg, but not surprised that happens to some people!
@hedgepig I haven't ever noticed a smell, but I have different type AFs than you I guess so I only really wear them the first night/day (I get crazy heavy for one day, light one day, then basically just spotting for a couple days). Now that I'll have more than one I'll probably change that up because I hate the idea of disposable things when they can be avoided b/c environment.
While we're on the subject of AF, I refuse to wear pads, ever. So before I had Thinx I used to sleep with a small towel between my legs the 1 night it matters for me to do that. MH called it "pioneer style."
