@captainfoxtrot I am so sorry you're having to go through this. It's so hard to lose a baby. I am so glad you have pictures with your baby and got to hold your baby. I would encourage you to name your baby as well. If you'd like to, you can ask the hospital to take your baby and have a smalll burial service for baby. Many cemeteries have an area for unborn children (especially catholic ones.) my losses were too early for that, but I had private burial services in my backyard. The first time I had been given roses, and then when they died we went out back and said some prayers and threw the roses into the woods. The second time, I passed the baby at home and so we did bury him in the backyard woods and said prayers. Both times I saved a dried rosebud and named them so I could remember them, and that had helped me. Maybe it will help you too.
Several books have really helped me, one is After Miscarriage- a catholic woman's companion to hope and healing. I think even if you're not catholic you would still find it helpful, because it's just one to two page journal entries from many different women who journal about their experiences and how they recovered and found hope again.
As I have mentioned before, I'm starting a ministry for women who have miscarriages at my church, this is what I feel called to do. I'd be happy to support you via email or phone. Leaving all religious things aside - just companion you through your grief.
I am so so sorry. I will be keeping you in my thoughts as I know there's nothing that can be said right now to make it any easier. I hope the blood test gives you some more answers.
@captainfoxtrot , I am SO sorry! There aren't words, but know you're in my prayers! </3
