  • I figured I would reintroduce myself since  a I have been mostly lurking for a while now.

Ages u and SO):  I am 30, he is 31.

How many months have you been TTC?  4

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?  I am starting provera today, and clomid this cycle.  I think I am going to chart.  I am not sure if I want to though.  I am already neurotic as it is, and I think watching for a triphasic chart will only make me worse.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have two kids.  A 6 year old girl and a 4 year old boy.  They are great, but both are special needs, so life can get hectic.  We have 2 cats ( one is an emotional support animal) a dog and a rabbit.  I work part time as an ophthalmology tech.  I don't have a ton of hobbies.  I love to read, specifically high fantasy sagas.

Thanks, some of my favorites are The kingkiller Chronicles.  The Realm of the Elderlings, and The Lord of the Rings.
  • @holly321 There's a book club on here if you're interested in joining: https://forums.thebump.com/group/1057-tb-book-club

LOTR was my favorite series (I own the extended edition of all 3 movies) until I read Kushiel's Legacy by Jacqueline Carey.  Great series if you've never read it!

How many months have you been TTC? Just started this month (well...week) but so excited!

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Charting with Shine and stopping BC

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)  I have a job that I love and am working towards a management position in. We live in a great neighborhood with our two dogs where we have made great friends. My favorite things include cooking and spending time outdoors and I'm really looking forward to my time in this community and graduation to the next (fingers crossed)!

    Ladies,

Can you give any tips on interacting with the board/members? I've read the tips/start here thread and lurked quite a bit before even posting in this thread initially but still want to be sure to avoid a faux pas! Everyone seems to be so close and jumping in (commenting) seems like rudely interrupting a convo IRL.

Also.. yes, I'm very new to this journey but I'm anticipating a bumpy road based on some medical history.  Please do not expect a 1/2 cycle then peace out
  • @holly321 Love to see lots of readers out there! I'm more of a sci-fi girl myself, but of course LOTR is up there on my favorites list as well!

  • @Ironring Welcome and thank you for doing an intro post!  I hope you understand where the initial responses were coming from on your first post and I also hope that you are able to get a lot of information on this board.

@Ironring welcome!! My mom has psoriatic and rheumatoid(she's been told that she's literally like one in a million), I'm so sorry...just from being around her, I can only imagine how painful it actually is
I hope you can find a treatment plan that is TTC  friendly!
  • So can I start a new thread? Fwiw it's worth I had read the rules and lurked. I didn't make an intro post which I should have. I figured my post was unique enough to not fit into the existing larger threads and just get lost in an intro thread. I'm not trying to say I'm a speshel snowflake or anything, but my question was more than just "ohmygodIhadsexonceanddontunderstandwhyimnotpregnantyet".
