Just Started posting on here again after a few years off so looking forward to getting to know everyone better!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 27

WAYDTGKU: Charting using a period App.

R/R:  I am currently having renovations done on our house and that is both a rant and a rave.

CS/Q: Hmmm...question would be if anyone here is active in any other boards?

GTKY:  What are you hobbies? Or what are somethings that bring you joy?
I really enjoy cooking and baking. We planted a garden again this year so we will have veggies to make into pickles and sauces later in the summer.

BFP #2 5/15 DD born 8/15 (25 weeker born due to PPROM)

Working on growing our family since 3/2017

  • @shortstack930 it could definitely be the clomid. The hormones messed with my sleep too...

@vflux33 have so much fun with your dad and new step mom!

@shortstack930 Thanks for the feedback. I did just have my annual checkup recently and everything was fine with that. Even at my appointment she made a comment about me spotting still (at CD 9).

@vflux33 I think that's what annoys me is that if I get to a year I will want to see an RE. I assumed (wrongly) that if I was having symptoms prior to a year the OB would at least be able to help with that without having to do any "treatment" which I don't think is necessary yet.

@ladybugsamom So glad to hear YH is on the mend!

@MrsMiller8588 Yeah, I think this is a common policy among OBs. I have mixed feelings about it too. My mom told me I should switch OBs because of it, but I think my OB may have this policy because our HMO wants all their OBs to have this policy (our HMO is notorious for stuff like that). So I don't think getting a second opinion would have made a difference in my case unless I went OOP, which I didn't think was needed at the time. If you're not in a similar situation with your HMO (or even if you are and are willing to go OOP), I guess you could always get a second opinion?
  • Month/Cycle: 4/2

    CD: 54

WAYDTGKU:. Not ovulating.... J/k... I started provera yesterday, so hopefully this awful cycle will soon end.

R/R:  the provera is really making me nauseous.  I don't remember this happening last time.

    CS/Q: none

GTKY:  What are you hobbies? Or what are somethings that bring you joy?   Yoga, gardening.

@ladybugsamom you need 3 days of elevated temps to get cross hairs.
  • Month/Cycle: 5

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: bbt, opk, pressed, EOD sex

I love reading, singing, and swimming. I normally just like to spend time at home with family most nights.
  • @RVAmom315 Fingers crossed the days fly by to June 9th! And I'm right there with you on the real books vs. kindle issue. I actually had a kindle and switched back because it didn't feel right.

@olive_lane Yes! I want to add drinking wine to my hobbies list as well.

    ^Me always
@MrsMiller8588 Sorry about your unanswered spotting issues. I have no solutions. Just wanted to say having unanswered questions sucks. Especially about TTC.

@shortstack930 110 books?! Holy cow! That's some serious reading!

  • @SkilledSailor must be something in the water, because today is a serious coffee day for me too.

@olive_lane welcome! Cooking, drinking, and reading...are you me?

@akcrrr I used to be on The Knot, but it's blocked at work, so I haven't been on in about two years. So I'm just on The Bump right now.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2
    CD: 1
WAYDTGKU: BBT (although I forgot today, which would be the first day lmao), OPKs, tracking cycles, PNVs
R/R: Today is my "Friday"! :D
CS/Q: None, just downloaded FF so I'm excited to start using it!
GTKY:  What are you hobbies? Or what are somethings that bring you joy? Reading, drinking, baking. Just like everyone else it seems. ;) But I also really enjoy taking my puppy for walks and watching my guilty pleasure TV shows (Married at First Sight!).

  • millpemillpe member
@Avrilmai Yes! I started the beginning of this month! It's been great and very different in good ways! I'm glad the yoga helped. Have fun with the haircut! Are you doing anything different than your norm?

@lund I should add patio drinking to my list of hobbies this summer! It's such a limited window when it's nice enough and not too windy!

@vflux33 I haven't even looked into my insurance and what they cover for testing or treatments (if it comes to that). I was locked into one hospital/clinic previously but now that I'm on DH's insurance I could check out the other clinic. I will probably wait a couple months before going that route though. I'm probably just getting in my own head and just need to relax  ;)

@MrsMiller8588  I was just reading something on FF's q&A over the weekend about how they recommend talking to your doctor even before that 1-year mark if there are certain things you're seeing, but I can't find the link now. That's really frustrating that you Dr is brushing off your concerns. I'd get a second opinion TBH.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 16

    WAYDTGKU: waiting for CH.

R/R: still sick of my job. i get to travel this week, so maybe some new faces will invigorate me again. Altho... seeing a different plant might make me angry that ours is so freaking old and underfunded. Our location seems to be the "black sheep" of the corporate family.

CS/Q: I have yet to get a blazing +OPK. i realized this weekend, that I was checking it too early, that I really DO need to follow directions and wait ~10min. I was really close to a + on saturday afternoon, but then by sunday afternoon it was a neg again.  Sounds like I just missed the surge? These OPK's are kind of a pain to use....

GTKY:  What are you hobbies? Or what are somethings that bring you joy?
Gardening, for sure. Cooking (when my kids are not trying to beat eachother up). Crafting, creating. Teaching my kids things, traveling with them.

  • @elisek no I wish my stargazers died off over the last couple of years so now I only have asiatic lilies.

  • elisekelisek member
    @Stargazer1lily - that's gorgeous!

@shortstack930 - yesss! I love me some YA. I've been away from reading for awhile, partly bc I got out of the habit when I cut back on my budget and had no room for buying (um library, duh!). But also I've just let life get in the way too much. But Sarah Dessen is YA that I actually started reading as a YA, so it always takes me back in a beautiful way. I do read fantasy and scifi and classics sometimes too, but YA is my favorite.

@elisek Sorry for your cycle confusion. I know some people get their LH surge at different times relative to their actual O-- so maybe yours is closer? I feel you on the long cycles. They're such a drag.

@AliW220 I guess some people have quick surges, but I've noticed for me I get a lot of "almost positives" that are not positive and then like a week later will get a real positive. I tend toward long cycles with patches (like my body tries to O a bunch of times and fails before I actually O). Not saying this is definitely the case for you, but it is possible. Hope you didn't miss your surge!
  • @MrsMiller8588 glad to hear the new job is going well. As for the haircut, I'm doing the same old thing. I'm super lazy when it comes to my hair. I don't want anything that will require a lot of effort!

@elisek sorry the opks are working out the way you'd hoped.

@ladybugsamom when I first started TTC I did a couple cycles where I tested from CD10 - CD20 just to get used to interpreting OPKs, and to see if I had multiple surges. Now I generally test CD12 - CD17, or I stop when I see the test line fading significantly. I've personally never recorded multiple surges in a cycle, so I feel ok with this.
  • lund - I read that some continue to test until the tests turn negative again and then they count that first negative test as 1 DPO.  Wondering if I should try that this time, or just continue to base it off of my temps and FF's CHs......

@ladybugsamom I had a horrible SM too! Basically threw a party when the divorce happened. It was one of those 3 year divorces so it was hard on my dad and I'm so glad he found someone new.

As for the OPKs I used to count the 1st negative after a few days of positives as DPO 1, but I think this actually screwed me so I stopped. Either I have a slow progesterone rise/body heat doesn't respond to progesterone right away OR I don't O until longer than average after my first positive OPK because I never get a temp rise right after the positive OPKs stop. May not be the case for you, everyone's different, etc., but thought I'd throw it out there... you could always try one month one way and the next differently. Doesn't really hurt as long as you keep HIO (if YH is up to that yet).
  • @ladybugsamom I have a book that I want to finish (so that I can start reading some of the pregnancy books I've picked up!). I also want to put together some paper flowers for a little bouquet that I want to make. What about you? Any plans for your "weekend"?
  • vflux33 This is good to know.  I may try it and see what things look like the next few days.  I'm concerned because my temps have been wonky and creating a "rocky mountain" on FF despite my best efforts to test at the same time daily and keeping the room temp the same, etc. I'm hoping my temps stay elevated like they're supposed to over the next couple of days.

@AliW220 I will have to look up that article. I am also planning to try some natural ways the lengthen my LP to see if it helps. I don't think she's trying to brush me off, she's a PA and I think she just has very limited experience with any TTC issues. I have a friend in town that struggled with IF so next time I see her I am going to ask for her Dr recommendation.

@Avrilmai I am also lazy with my hair! Wash and go every day! Still fun to go in and get it cut!
